I can't tell you how much I love both of them, the vanilla and the maple walnut. If there were more stores around, I would absolutely get a membership (if they have one) and go everyday. They have gained a loyal customer in me. My friend who is from Vietnam said their Vietnamese coffee is closest to what you would get in Vietnam and highly recommends it. I honestly come here like at least once a week and that's only because I buy a 2 L so I don't have to come back every day. I am addicted to the recipe of Vietnamese coffee. I feel like it's one of the best in town! So not only is the drinks good but the service is amazing. Typically you have to order either online or on Phone for the 2 L 24 hour ahead. I've been trying to make orders online, but sometimes it doesn't go through but the barista's at Blkdot always accommodate me via phone. They always have smiles on their faces and our kinds and laugh at my lame jokes and I appreciate that. They also don't rush or judge you when you have multiple orders and you're trying to figure out what milk goes to what drink for what people I also want a note that even though it's a chain, they make batches of coffee and the freshness is always appreciated. The area is small. There's only a couple of seats, but it's really clean and modern. The chairs don't look it, but it's actually pretty comfortable. Great blk dot location! Wasn't busy at all when I came in so it was nice to work on homework. There were quite a few outlets around the seating area and nice tables to sit at. This BlkDot Coffee spot is tucked away in a industrial/furniture store zone area in Fountain Valley - far enough away to not get overcrowded - but still, relatively easy to get to if you know where to look. I stopped by on a weekend to get some work done, and to try their Matcha - which everyone seems to rave about. I picked up a Large Iced VTMatcha - which has a base of Blkdot's version of Vietnamese Iced Coffee, topped with matcha, and then your milk base. The drink came out layered - and I sipped it for a bit before mixing it up with a straw halfway through the drink, since I wasn't getting much of the coffee otherwise. The matcha is great - rich, flavorful - very good quality matcha. The coffee is a nice touch, gives you a boost of energy and caffeine, and while I got my drink with whole milk, I'll probably try it with Oat milk next time since that tends to bring out flavors too. There's plenty of seating throughout the cafe - the decor is great, bright and airy. There's one restroom, but it is kept clean, so that's a plus. Outlets are far and few - but I usually carry a portable power bank with me anyway, so no issues there. Service is prompt - a small line in front of me when I stepped in, but my drink only took a few minutes after ordering. Lots of parking in front and on the side - as mentioned, this is in an industrial park/furniture zone - so there's not as much traffic here. It is on the way to the 405 freeway, so if traffic looks bad, you can always stop by here to wait things out. I'll have to come back to check out their pastries. The avocado toast looks yummy, but I already had lunch at the time of my visit. read more

Found this new favorite through uber eats this morning and I am impressed! Happy that I discovered it because I'm not in fountain Valley very often even though it's just a few miles from home I got the iced sea salt cold brew and it is absolutely delicious! I don't like my coffee too sweet, but I also don't like it black and this was just perfect! The cold foam offered just enough creaminess and sweetness that it made the perfect drink. And the sea salt component is something that will keep me coming back. I also got the hot honey avocado toast with bacon, and it was equally delicious! I would've liked just a little bit more avocado ratio to the thick cut toast, but I will definitely re-order both of these on a regular basis! read more

Stopped by as we started a road trip and this place got us off to a great start. Plenty of parking in the lot. I got a Spanish Latte, less sweet, and it was soo good. Would definitely order again. Also got a sausage cheese bagel sandwich. There was a bit too much chipotle mayo sauce for me but it was still delicious. Very filling, very tasty. Highly recommend. Blk Dot is my all-time favorite coffee shop because of their LVTM, VTM, matcha, etc. The inside of this location is beautiful, light, airy, and expansive compared to the other locations. It's a great place to get your coffee and study/work. It's located very close to the 405 fwy, so it's convenient to grab and go as well. There are a lot of furniture stores nearby, so you won't be distracted to go somewhere else; you'll stay put and study/work. The service is always friendly and kind. The decor is so cute for Christmas--not too much, not too little--just right. It's got that clean-line, modern, minimalistic vibe which is perfect to keep my mind clear of clutter and distractions. I ordered the Spanish Latte, but it wasn't as flavorful as I expected--I could barely taste the condensed milk. Traditionally, Spanish lattes usually have a rich caramel or dulce flavor, so when I added caramel to mine, it finally hit the mark with that sweet, bold taste I was looking for. I got the Yuzu Mango Matcha with oat milk and it was delicious! Although there were some clumps in my drink, the matcha flavor was still strong & flavorful, and combined with the mango yuzu was just perfect. My dad got the VTM coffee and said it wasn't bad, but this is coming from a Vietnamese dad who gets viet coffee every week lol. Also got the ultimate breakfast bowl which was really good, just a bit pricey. Service was also really friendly and patient, would definitely come back again by myself or with friends and family. The windows let in plenty of lighting and the overall atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. I ordered a matcha latte iced with a chocolate croissant which they happily warmed up for me. The staff here were friendly and helpful with any questions I had about various drinks and I didn't wait long before my order was ready. The matcha latte was creamy, had good matcha flavor, and was a great pick-me-up to start my morning. The chocolate croissant had plenty of chocolate inside and the outside was crispy and flaky. I noticed the place pop up recently and I'm reluctant to try new coffee shops if I already have a regular spot. I've also been using my Nespresso machine to try and justify the purchase. Their VTM coffee is strong as hell and worth it. I'm sure purists will say oh you can get that anywhere etc but this is smooth and will keep you awake and alert all day long. I did try their guava cheese danish twice and I would honestly just pass on it. It definitely isn't the best that's where I'll leave it. The service is fast so if you have 10 minutes to get your coffee they can probably do it if there isn't a line snaking out the door. There is also a mobile pickup option which should speed things up. read more

And you may say - "sounds like every other bagel sandwich", but you would be so wrong. They add this chipotle sauce that I almost crave. This location in October and I can't believe it took me this long to notice! Blk Dotniw the original home of the "VTM Coffee". The next closest location is Costa Mesa so it's nice to have another coffee location around this neck of the woods! Environment - this store is fairly big and is a corner store in a strip mall of furniture stores. Awesome high ceilings, music that is not too loud, and great aesthetics. There are 6 small round tables with a bench along the windows. There are awesome a couple of single sofa chairs that are pretty comfy! It wasn't too busy here on a Sunday but you can tell that people naturally buzz in and out. Service - super nice and my order came out fairly quickly! Drinks - I got the regular iced VTM and it was pretty strong. If you're not used to Vietnamese crack coffee, remember to let the ice melt so you're not wired for the next hour. I came to study before work, needed extra caffiene so ordered an iced matcha with 2 extra ounces. On the board it says extra 2 oz should be 2+ dollars but the girl who seems like the owner charged me for 2 espresso shots making my matcha 10$ plus I still tipped.
