Sister Bar to "batch", snake and barrel is located downstairs in the basement. I love the vibe/ambience/decor. Their selection of whiskeys is not as much as their sister Bar upstairs, "batch", but they still have a large selection. In addition to whiskey, they also serve other cocktails. Ryan was our bartender and made us the "rock you", which is a rum cocktail and "Vert der ferk". Unfortunately, our drinks were not that great. They definitely were strong, But they did not taste good at all

It's quite a pleasant surprise that Batch is hiding its best work underground. While I found their flagship bar to have middling cocktails, they more than make up for this with a side project focused on a formidable menu of witty names. What I had: Pinche Fresa--Excellent blend of gin and strawberry. I love gin, and I generally lean toward the herbal or flowery varieties, but this is a stellar example of showcasing gin's more citrusy side. Sweet and brilliant. Rock You-- it featured overproof rum and passion fruit liqueur, reminiscent of everything I would crave on a warm beach getaway. Service is prompt and comfortable--I don't think this place has been around that long, but it feels like they've been at it for a long time. Seating is intimate, with an array of small tables illuminated with individual lamps. They have a ways to go with filling out the walls and really giving the place some character, but it still feels hip and exclusive. Come here for date night or when you want a fun cocktail!

Awesome speakeasy underneath Batch with a great group of bartenders. Looking for a relaxing environment with a unique cocktail? This is the spot.

I would've given this place 5 stars but the service we had was not the best the evening we visited. The drinks were good and the place has a really cool vibe, though. I would definitely go back.

Snake & Barrel is one of the hidden gems that I take all my visitors to in Tucson for great cocktails. I feel like I found an inner circle, I am a sucker for speakeasies and this location seems to be hidden on most maps. The interior is dark, cozy, and romantic with dim lighting and green velvet chairs. I've ordered drinks on and off the menu that have all been exceptional. My favorite is La Serpiente but you also can't go wrong with an extra dirty martini. On the weekends, there is sometimes a wait to go down when they are at capacity, but it is never too long.

One star for Luke, (if Luke wasn't his name, he lied about his name) the rudest, biggest bully I have ever had the dissatisfaction of being served by. And for sure the rudest person I met in my trip to Tucson. This man went so far out of his way to be rude to me and my 2 friends. I came for a drink 9/7 at night. After he was so rude to us, he walked away, then spoke to another customer rudely. I wanted to stay but he seemed so angry, I finished my delicious drink and left. He seemed mad enough to start a fight. The "bouncer" seemed angry to.

This review is for Batch but I have been to both Batch and Snake & Barrel and my review would still be 5 stars for both. Batch is the cocktail lounge branded to have Arizona's largest whiskey collection. Snake & Barrel, also a part of Batch is their downstairs lounge ( with a speakeasy feel) . In both locations you can expect knowledgeable mixologists who concoct amazing drinks. Batch has a happy hour and on weekends they have donuts ... and if we are being honest... bourbon and donuts is a match made in spirit.

Four of us came here last Saturday night. I love the ambiance and lighting in this new underground bar. The bartenders were really friendly. Unfortunately, I didn't like most the drinks I tried. I didn't like the Rock You, Purple Drink or Vert der ferk (although my friend liked this one). The Shut It, Karen was the only one that was ok.

The atmosphere here is AMAZING. Love the decor. It's a cozy, yet sexy vibe. Great music.. not too loud. You can actually have a conversation with the person sitting next to you without screaming at them. The cocktails are out of this world. I HIGHLY recommend the La Serpiente if you like a little bit of spice in your cocktail. It has the PERFECT amount of heat without being overpowering. They have fantastic gin cocktails as well. The Pinche Fresca was so refreshing! The bartenders are really friendly and the service was great. This is probably my new favorite place in Tucson. We will definitely be back!

Empty

Came at 12pm and the security said that it was over capacity. We stood there for 10mins while he said we had to wait until someone left. He then decided to let us in. As to our shock, the place was empty. Please look at this picture. He also told the other party after us the same thing. I totally get the roudy club crowd but neither our group or the group after us was that. You are loosing a lot of business with your security guy. This was the second time this happened on back to back weekends.

Awesome and fantastic time at both places!!! We decided to pub crawl several places and these were our favorite spots. The staff were excellent at both places!! Batch tacos were great and much needed after drinking!!! Tried so many different drinks.

Come for the cocktails and speak-easy ambiance, stay for the awesome staff and comfy chairs! A must stop location for a quality cocktail after dinner or to start your night out. Get there early if you want a seat, as it's a fairly small venue compared to others in the area.

I love this place. The atmosphere, the comfortable seating, attentive staff, and tasty drinks are all reasons I keep going back here. You can't go wrong with this place, you are sure to have a good time in a nice relaxed atmosphere that isn't overly crowded as the door man will only let in so many people at a time. Very clean and well maintained.

Great bar and drinks! Nice low key atmosphere but the music is a little nightclub-y.

Maybe not even just…read moreTucson--this is the best of the best you can find through the entirety of Southern Arizona! These drinks are innovative, thoughtful, and aesthetically pleasing in a way that leaves you excited for more and expands one's idea of a well-made libation. Inspired by a medley of global flavors, Juniper started off as a side project from a local brewery and unexpectedly exploded into a swanky hangout with zero seats left open on weekend nights. Yes, virtually everything on the menu is gin-based. But that shouldn't scare you away! Gin is essentially a neutral spirit infused with botanicals and/or citrus, so if you had a bad experience with one brand, there will be another out there you'll fall in love with. Elliott, the General Manager of the bar, elevates the passionate curation of his menu to perfection. Here are some examples of what you might fall in love with: Balzy Maracuya: A 'maracuya' is a passion fruit beverage originating from South America. In this drink, fruity flavors are enhanced with popping boba filled with balsamic vinegar. Botanist: Upscale gin and tonic with thyme, rosemary, and star anise. Cronus Punch: Rum punch lovers will be blown away by the rare sighting of clarified gin On special ocassions, you'll find limited edition items like gin sorbet affogatos and horchata martinis. At the turn of each new year, there's a menu rotation that may sadly remove some of my faves. But here, at Juniper I can guarantee two things: Something uniquely enjoyable, and a gracious staff that will be happy to explain the intricacies of lesser-known spirits on the shelf. In 2026, I predict it will remain one of Tucson's hottest cocktail hangouts.

It's a fun and also elegant atmosphere with the zebra theme clearly exemplified across the space. I would have to say this is one of the coziest bars I've been to, the furniture and seating is really supportive of a long-term visit. There are other levels, lower and an upper level besides the main space, but be aware that if there are parties, they can typically take up different areas. Our bartender, Sarah was fantastic! The way that she handled all of the guests and the busy field was incredible, so calm and collected, and furthermore making some really incredible drinks. Heads up that the online drink menu is not the current drink menu, I couldn't remember all the names of our drinks and put those in the photo captions, so when I checked on the website, the menu was showing something different other than what I saw at the bar. Out of several places I've been to, I'd say the mixture of flavors and details in the drinks are quite unique. I'll be back for more one day

We were greeted by a giant statue of a unicorn zebra and of course took a selfie. We then went to the bar area and absolutely loved the dark speakeasy vibes. Burk, the handsome man with a shiny head, was at the bar. He handed us a drink menu that contained fun drink names like Death of a Unicorn. The drinks tasted good and had a lovely presentation. Mine even came in a zebra mug. We also learned that this bar has both an upstairs and downstairs area. We enjoyed a couple of drinks and headed home. This place left such an impression that we have been back two times since. On another occasion we had Nate the bartender. He had a lovely personality and accommodated all of the guests that came in near closing. We enjoyed Santa's Banana Hammock and Unicorn Ski Accident. I would definitely recommend this hidden gem. I look forward to seeing where this place goes. It has a ton of potential for special events with the basement area. P.s. It's also a boutique hotel. You could always book a room and enjoy dreams downstairs without having to drive

The performers were extremely talented, and the host did a good job too. I got a hot chocolate, which was okay, as well as the mixed nuts, which were also okay. My large party also tried the popcorn, and it was a bit stale. I was saddened to see that there are no longer charcuterie boards on the menu, leaving only and truly "small bites" that don't really hit the spot. The chocolate covered pretzels were the only thing I ate, which I would order again. I really like the century room , I just hope they make revisions to the menu to really make it the whole experience!
