Snapper was the second lunch spot we checked out in New Orleans. The portion sizes were similar but the flavors were not quite up to par. The shrimp was good but lacked the flavor on the seafood platter that we were expecting. The charbroiled oysters had too much cheese topping. Less is more so that the yummy oyster flavors can shine through. The happy hour prices were good but we were a bit underwhelmed. The service and ambiance of snapper was great. Solid spot but needs to up their game a bit.

Fried Gater bites, gumbo, oysters, French fries, fried shrimp, crawfish etouffee.

Our waitress was sooo nice and the food was amazing !!! It was the waitress 3rd day in America & she was amazing ! Soo sweet & great service. It was also our first night in New Orleans for my sisters birthday trip and everything we ordered from here was amazing !!! We all agree that this was the BEST food we had while we were here in New Orleans !

    The red snapper!

The seasoning is chefs kiss. I didn't eat the Oyster just the seasoning and bread. I love the flavor profile. I got the Boudin Egg Rolls and a crab cake with 1/2 Shrimp poboy & corn and crab soup. The egg rolls have great flavor but doesn't compare to the Boudin Balls I've previously had. I would say they're kid friendly. I liked the red beans and rice but everyone else didn't care for this batch. The shrimp were large and seasoned well as i didn't eat the bread. Someone else ordered the Philly poboy. She said the meat was seasoned exceptionally well. I loved the yummy bites. I can see why the lines were long. Deliciousness all around.

I got the fried peace maker po-boy and it was delicious! The fried shrimp and oyster wasn't greasy and tasted fresh. My sister got the New Orleans medley, which was okay. We preferred the gumbo, which was very flavorful. The jambalaya was a little dry for our preference and the rice and beans lacked flavor. My dad got the gator bites which were also really good! We also appreciated the options they had for vegetarians - my mom got the veggie burger and sweet potato fries and enjoyed both. She also had a shellfish allergy and they took great care regarding cross contamination.

I visited New Orleans…read moreback in early May and I'm literally still thinking about all the yummy food I had at Peche. It was also really cool to be seated at the oyster bar and get to watch all the appetizers being made. The snapper kinilaw with coconut was like a crudo, carpaccio, or ceviche and it was amazinggggg. The mix of the coconut milk, the chili oil, the fish, and the greens was such a good combo - it was so flavorful yet bright and light. I could have had so many plates of this. The crawfish croquettes were also fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and you could really taste the crawfish and the spices. Again, so much flavor! The baked drum with leek was probably my least favorite dish of the night, just because I like my fish more soft and smooth, but it was still good! Finally, I was swayed to get the carrot sticky toffee pudding after seeing so many of them being made at the bar. It was like a deconstructed carrot cake, with cream cheese flavor ice cream and a warm, sticky molten carrot cake and graham cracker crumbles. Absolutely divine. I would go back to New Orleans just for Peche!

The timing of the appetizers, main dishes and desserts were on point. I throughly enjoyed the overall dining experience here. Tuna crudo - was alright, had a fishiness and was tangy Oysters - fresh and melted in my mouth. The crackers add a nice crunch and also paired well with the tuna crudo. Cobia - the char on the fish had a burnt taste to it. Other than that, the fish had a crispy and had a nice chew to it. There was a hint of freshness from the zucchini and the salad+orzo. Brussel sprouts - This was good. The vinegar was not overpowering and it was cooked just right where the Brussel sprouts had a sweet taste and still had a slight bite to it. Carrot toffee pudding - great! It is a sweet dessert. The hot and cold factor gave a nice mix. key lime pie - it was sweet and light, but could have a stronger zest Service 10/10 Ambiance 10/10 Food 7/10

As soon as they arrived, I picked one up and immediately thought, "Wow, this is incredibly light." Anyone who eats crabs regularly knows that's usually a bad sign. When I opened it, it was completely hollow inside--nothing but an empty shell. A crab that is hollow like that was dead before it was cooked. I never took a single bite. I showed it to our server, Remy B., who apologized and said she would let the manager know. She took the plate away, so I assumed the issue was being handled. When the bill arrived, I was still charged for the crabs. I asked to speak with a manager and explained exactly what happened. She confirmed that I had notified the server and that the plate had been taken away. Then she told me that it didn't matter because their policy is to not give refunds or remove food from a check. Let that sink in: they acknowledged that I didn't eat the food, acknowledged that the server removed it, and still charged me for it. A restaurant standing behind its food is the bare minimum. Charging customers for food that was clearly unacceptable and never eaten is ridiculous. The lack of concern from management was even more disappointing than the crab itself. The only reason this review isn't 1 star is because the young man at the host stand was friendly, professional, and the one bright spot of the entire experience.

My favorite thing we got was definitely the veggie red beans and rice. It was very balanced and cooked well. I was very excited to try their shrimp and grits, but it wasn't that great. The grits were quite grainy and didn't taste cheesy as described. They weren't creamy at all and really tasted like plain barely salted grits that could have been cooked a bit longer. The shrimp was flavorful and the sear on the outside was nice, but they were quite overcooked and tough. There was a much higher ratio of grits to shrimp and gravy than you would want, especially given the grits were not that good. However, my husband absolutely loved the chicken pasta and said it was one of the best he has ever had. They definitely can make good food but I would skip the shrimp and grits. The lemonade I ordered was also incredibly watery. The service was efficient and good overall, but very impersonal and bare minimum. Definitely efficiency prioritized over true dinner service. Not bad but not what I expected.

It had all the delicious rice sides you could want. I indulged significantly. I liked the jambalaya but the Red beans and rice was a favorite of both of ours. It was seasoned to perfection. I ordered the shrimp po' boy, which was around $22, and was surprised it didn't come with fries. Usually places either include them or at least mention that they're separate when ordering. We also started with the charbroiled oysters, and whatever topping or seasoning was on them had this weird crunchy, crackling texture that literally felt like it was cracking against my teeth when I bit into it. I don't know if it was burnt cheese or what, but I personally could not eat more than one. The service also wasn't great during our visit. After our food was dropped off, our waiter never checked back in. I had ordered fries separately once I realized they didn't come with the sandwich, but after waiting about 10 minutes with no update, I finally got up and walked to the bar to cancel them because I was almost done eating at that point. Maybe we came at an off time, but overall it just wasn't the experience we were hoping for and probably not somewhere we'd return.
