gumbo
Judy T.

What a way to kick off our first night in NOLA! The gumbo was tasty, even though the consistency is more watery than I prefer. The crawfish rangoon were fine, and the red pepper jelly dip was a good accompaniment. These all led up to the star of the show, which were the succulent, spicy crawfish that left your fingers briny and your mouth on fire. Pro tip: leave the corn for last, after it's had an opportunity to soak up all the liquid from the crawfish boil. Delicious! The wait staff was friendly and attentive, showing off that Southern hospitality! The restaurant itself has a wonderful casual vibe. No visit to NOLA would be complete without Clesi's!

We love Clesi's! Always a great selection. While they're readily known for their seafood, they have such great other options that you should explore. Including a great cheeseburger

Red fish and rice

The atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations. The manager also came over to greet us personally, shared a few suggestions, and even treated us to a sample of crawfish since we were first-time visitors to New Orleans. The hospitality was exceptional, the service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was delicious. It was a wonderful dining experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans.

My #1 spot for crawfish and one of my best kept secrets LOL The service or food never disappoints!! I needed by fix of crawfish today so I went on a solo lunch date with myself. I had 3lbs plus garlic and potatoes. It was about $8 a pound today. I love their taco Tuesday deals too! It's a must try!

Food was fantastic! Legit some of the best catfish, charbroiled oysters- I've ever had. The crawfish queso is A MUST ORDER. Great customer service, will def come back! :)

The bar was awesome having never had crawfish I got a quick lesson in eating them and guidance in ordering. We got 2 boils and some drinks sat outside and just feasted! Elbows deep In the boil with corn potatoes shrimp. Ain't life grand!

This place was packed when we got here and stayed packed the entire time. We got boudin balls, 1 lb of crawfish, and roast beef sandwich. The boudin balls were so good! It made me order them at another place but it just didn't come close. The crawfish was really good and perfectly seasoned. The roast beef sandwich was a little dry but their fries were amazing.

Bummer it's the end of crawfish season but the shrimp was amazing! Some of the best we've ever had. Server was nice and friendly. We sat outside bc the weather was gorgeous and lovely. Planning on coming again during crawfish season!

Service was good but we had to move inside because the flies were a bit much. I do have to say the crawfish here was really good! Well seasons with a little bit of a kick, and big crawfish. We got the pot to share and had so much left over! The highlights were the crawfish, potatoes and sausage for me.

I went to Clesi's last weekend and absolutely loved the crawfish there! Upon walking in they have cute outdoor seating and then they have a spot where they are booking the crawfish. Unfortunately they didn't have outdoor seating so me and my friend sat at the bar. Bartender was great! Service was super fast, the crawfish were DELICIOUS. I will say for where we are in the season they were a bit pricey but the flavor, size was on point. Also please make sure you get the butter . OMG! You won't regret it! Can't wait to go back.

Excellent restaurant! I went here just to try something new and the food was amazing, the drinks were good and not expensive. The service was very quick and attentive and the environment was very sunny and relaxed and clean. I love the ambience and the crawfish smelled good.

Fried Catfish Platter

Catfish platter was good and fresh, fries were crispy. Would've appreciated a bit more seasoning on the catfish. Service was good, food came out pretty quickly. Sports bar type ambiance with sports on tv and somewhat rowdy guests, didn't impact experience too much.

Came highly recommended but must have had a bad night! No reservations, was told 30 minute wait. They said we could not go wait at the bar because there's only one bartender. Told us to go next door to Mondays. They tried to seat us at a table next to a giant dumpster bend which I found odd was in the front seating area. It stunk so bad. We sat somewhere else but it was still smelly. Ordered BBcue shrimp, Boudin balls, a pitcher of beer and they gave us a free order of garlic Parmesan fries. The bbcue shrimp kinda skimpy and overcooked. The sauce was good tho. Boudin balls were more like hush puppies, no rice or meat, just dough. The fries and beer were my favorite! I won't go back.

Bryan was our server and he was friendly and had great recommendations. I did the Reveillon which was 4 courses and I enjoyed it. The crab cake was my appetizer and it was my least favorite of the 4 courses. It wasn't bad but it was wowing. I really enjoyed the seafood boil bisque. The flavor was perfect and not overly spiced. My entree was the royal red shrimp pasta and it was good. I did have to add a dash of salt and pepper but the flavor was great with lots of fresh garlic. I finished with the chocolate bread pudding which was good but after the 1st 3 courses I couldn't finish. I hope more people check out this restaurant before we lose yet another restaurant in Lakeview. Ill be back to try the charbroiled oysters and seafood boil.

I especially loved the boil selections. Service was great. Will have to try it again soon to see how they have improved since opening. Love the outdoor seating. One restaurant that locals constantly recommended to me was Drago's Seafood in Metairie, and now I completely understand why. I ordered the charbroiled oysters along with the crawfish platter that came with crawfish étouffée, crawfish mac and cheese, and fried crawfish. Every single thing on the table was incredible. The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype rich, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. The crawfish platter was just as impressive and gave me a chance to try multiple Louisiana dishes all in one meal. What really stood out to me beyond the food was the service. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient with questions from someone who isn't from Louisiana and still learning the local food scene. You can tell they take pride in both the restaurant and the hospitality. The only downside is parking can get a little complicated because the place fills up fast, which honestly says a lot about how popular it is. Just plan ahead or expect a short wait finding a spot. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that feels genuinely loved by locals and absolutely worth visiting if you're traveling through the New Orleans area.

My bartender, Darryl, took fantastic care of me. Vibes in this place are very warm and cozy, I sat at the bar to the right of the entrance as you walk in. I had a half dozen char grilled oysters and a cup of seafood gumbo. I see why the oysters are so popular, they are a hit. Buttery and garlicky, the crusty bread they serve with them is a great compliment to soak up the sauce. I had originally intended on getting the chicken and andouille gumbo but Darryl steered me away from it, he said it was very salty. I trusted his word and went with the seafood gumbo instead and was very pleased with it. The flavors were fantastic, but I am gonna ding it ever so slightly as I think $8.99 is kind of an obscene price for that serving size, but at least it was good. Overall I'm very satisfied with my lunch and the service, I think if you like seafood and you're in their area, you should eat here. Edit - $9 for a pint is a little over the top too, imo. My "light lunch" was $42 before the tip.

Ordered 1/2 doz chargrilled oysters and the meat pies. For some reason I did not realized the meat pies had ground beef in them; I remembered a different flavor profile. They were good but won't order them again; too many other choices. Chargrilled oysters, on the other hand, is now on my SIL's list of top fav foods. I usually eat mine raw, but these were not too salted and not overcooked. Good job, ACME! SIL ordered the 1/2 shrimp po boy, which was on her hit list of foods for the trip and I had the 1/2 hot sausage patty po boy. Both of us had the jambalaya, which was tasty but not overpowering. Her po boy was loaded with shrimp and I had her try my po boy, since she had never heard of the hot sausage. It was a winner with her as well! We had leftovers, of course. Things were hopping by the time we finished, and it was a bit to get our to go boxes, drink refills and check out, but we'd go back in a heartbeat.

He told us about the specials and my mouth was drooling when he said soft shell crab. We started with the smoked salmon dip which was so creamy and delicious. For entrees the hubby had the blackened drum topped with blackened shrimp over Brabant potatoes. He was kind enough to give me a bite and oh boy it was so good. I, of course, had the fried soft shell crab special over smoky asparagus. The crab was topped with more crabmeat and a beurre blanc sauce. The crab was cleaned so well and then lightly fried. It was a very fat crab and every bite was a culinary delight. This was by far the best soft shell crab dish I have ever had. I certainly don't say that lightly because I eat soft shell crabs from the start of the season right up to the end. We were so full that there would be no need to eat dinner. Then Vince of course mentioned the desserts and we chose the chocolate peanut butter doberge cake with chocolate ganache. We told him to make it to go and do not open the box when he brought it to the table! Overall, Station 6 treated us to one of the best meals we have ever had. We're locals and our favorite pastime is eating out at locally owned restaurants. Station 6 is definitely ranked in our top 3!!
