tPlain single patty with grilled onions.

This place reminds me of an iconic California burger stand - a simple menu, freshly ground beef, limited indoor seating, picnic tables for outdoor seating, and paper-wrapped food. It is a rare find in Colorado! Snarfburger had four guys working between the counter and the grill and they were busy on a Sunday. There were six seats inside and about six picnic tables outside. The menu is posted on the wall, offering customizable burgers, five speciality burgers (all double patties) like the Bacon Guac (with hot sauce), The Hatch (hot peppers), Hot Island (hot peppers and 1,000 island), Spicy A1 (hot peppers & A1), and Triple B (grilled onions, bacon, bbq, and the burger). They also offer veggie burgers and gluten free buns, hot dogs, a chicken sandwich, fried bologna, BLT, grilled cheese, and milk shakes. The French fries, onion rings and tater tots came out of the fryer hot, crispy and perfect. The Hatch was flavorful and beefy, wonderfully messy with a nice balance of different spice from the hot sauce, pepper jack, the hot peppers and the green chilies. The regular snarfburger with cheese was a single well-done patty. Note: add avocado or sauce and request a thick slice of tomato because without it, it was dry like a low-fat 90/10 beef and not 80/20. Service was fast and great. Malted strawberry milkshake was thick as a brick and great. Atmosphere was great. I think I saw them feed a guy who needed a meal and I appreciate what an asset they are to our community.

Still an iconic spot for great burgers! Tried the Maui Wowie and it was great post hike.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat since we had a while to wait until our tea factory tour. The food itself was pretty solid. I love a classic burger. My issue was the cleanliness. I really really hate saying anything negative about any establishment. Seriously, check my reviews. But I had a hard time not here. I do get it's a small place and kitchen hoods can only do so much, but the place could use a solid scrub down. And while we were waiting for my daughters shake, the gentleman who had helped cook the food, opened the top of the machine and pulled out a part of the machine with his bare hands to attempt to fix whatever mechanism that wasn't working, and stuck the piece back in. I didn't see him wash his hands, I'm hoping I just missed that part. While everyone was incredibly friendly and fast and quite efficient, it was kinda rough to move past that.

The patties were hard as a rock. Not edible at all. How someone at Snarf thought this was acceptable we will never know.

Such nice workers and quick service! Loved that I didn't have to choose between onion rings or fries-- they have a frings option where you can get a little of both. I got the hot island burger special, super tasty!

We randomly selected this burger joint and OH BOY I'm glad we did! Best burger I've had in a while and it's super reasonably priced! They give you all the toppings, but I went with cheese, onions, pickles and ketchup. They give you two different types of cheese on it - yum! The fries were AMAZING. I had to sneak a few before taking a photo! Super fresh and perfect crisp. They are also peppered to perfection.

Snarfburger is a delicious greasy spoon hole in the wall burger joint that produces a good burger with super nice staff! While the soda machine area could be kept nicer, it's a burger joint so don't be so judgy. My only dislike was the head banging tunes that propelled me outside away from that noise but the staff there loved it and they are the ones working so better they're kept happy so the burgers keep tasting good as well. I'll be back next time I'm in town along with my noise cancellation AirPod Pros ;D

I loved the big chandeliers and brick wall. Our server, Skylar, was fantastic. She was personable, welcoming, and enhanced the entire dining experience. My friend and I started with the churro donuts to share. These were the perfect sweet treat (because who can have brunch without something sweet for the table?) It comes with a dulce de leche and a coffee anglaise that was so delicious. For my main I went with the fireside eggs. This was exceptional! Flavourful shakshuka with perfectly poached eggs, avocado and feta served alongside naan bread. This meal was comforting and delicious without being overly filling. I can't recommend The Kitchen enough! If I'm ever back in Boulder I will definitely be back. I would love to try the lunch or dinner menu!

There are only two tables on their patio that have an umbrella, so we were sitting in the sun at first and it was getting really hot (but then we were able to snag a shaded table when it freed up shortly after) All of the menu options sounded so good, we started with drinks, I can't remember the name of my cocktail, but it had egg white in it and was so delicious. We ordered the burrata appetizer and all of our means at the same time. Unfortunately, the appetizer never came out, our server for that to put it in. I ended up going with the Bolognese and it was really good so was the steak frites and street cart chicken that my friends had. Their fries are pretty good. The server felt really bad for forgetting about our appetizer and offered us a free dessert instead, so we tried the churro donuts which were ok. I'm still it was a good meal and I would definitely come back if I'm in the Boulder area again soon

The whole space feels warm and relaxed in a way that makes you want to stay longer than planned. Food was genuinely very good across the board and the service struck that perfect balance of being attentive without constantly interrupting the table or hovering over conversations. I'd especially recommend it for small groups or date nights because it manages to feel social without getting overwhelmingly loud. Parking is mostly street parking, but we didn't have too much trouble finding a spot nearby.

I think the best thing about River and Woods is the interior and exterior decoration. It is very clear that a lot of thought and time was put into the atmosphere here. From the cute door knocker to the bathroom wallpaper, the theme is well-executed. The food was a bit disappointing. The blue oyster mushroom appetizer was extremely salty. I thought it was just me but the rest of the table agreed as well. My trout was well-cooked and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The chicken was also salty although cooked well. I did not try the burger but I was told it was salty as well. The prices of all the items were quite high for what I thought was presented. Service was good and thankfully our waters were filled frequently for how much water we were drinking due to the high salt content.

They cook their steaks perfectly and have some of the funnest and tastiest sides I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Their roasted heirloom squash is never to be skipped over, it's my favorite vegetable dish that they sell, also do not skip over the Crispy pigs ears, or the tartar! The service there is outstanding and everyone that works there is super nice and professional, they are all masters of their crafts. I love the entire vibe of Blackbelly, they have well taken care of live plants everywhere, and it's very clean and tables are well spaced out. One of my favorite parts though is the dry age case! I love being sat near it (when others don't always) because I also work with food and appreciate how things are made. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. I believe they've maintained a Michelin Green Star since they first received one.
