Sandwiches here are pretty sad. Extremely small, order accuracy is poor and it is expensive for what it is.

While the staff was nice enough, the experience was really really disappointing. First, I was overcharged for what I ordered. I'd ordered a 5-inch vegetarian sub, and I asked for most of the extra toppings (lettuce, onion, hot peppers, seasoning etc.) After ordering, I realized that I had not only been charged for a 7-inch sub, but that the guy rang me up extra for every topping that came standard on the sub (sprouts, avocado, cheese). The charge was $23 for one sandwich! I brought this to his attention, and he fixed it to charge me correctly, but they insisted I take the 7-inch they had already made, letting me know I was getting a 7-inch for the price of a 5. That sandwich turned out to be truly terrible - and completely wrong. NONE of the extra toppings were on it except for extra avocado and sprouts, both of which tasted horrible and looked partially spoiled. The avocado was past its point and riddled with brown. Unfortunately, I did not learn that the sandwich was so terrible (and improperly made) until I had left, and I didn't have time to return. While waiting for the National Western Stock show parade to begin, we went inside this sandwich shop to get warm and also order a bite to eat. The place was small but had enough tables to accommodate the crowd. There shop was inside the Grand Hyatt hotel that you can also access from the 17th Street entrance. The menu hanging on the walls had a nice variety of sandwiches, salads, soups, and cold drinks (no hot drinks) to choose from. The sandwiches came in different sizes depending on what type of sandwich. We split a large sandwich chock full of half pastrami and half corn beef with lettuce, pickles, and mayo/mustard on a wheat roll. All the ingredients screamed FRESH and the veggies were nice and crunchy. I think the sandwich was called Snarf's Special (I didn't see it listed on the menu). The staff were friendly and the service was quick. They didn't have a restroom but there were 2 unisex bathrooms located inside the lobby of the Grand Hyatt hotel. I gave a 4 star rating only because the options were too many for me to choose from in a short amount of time (there was a long line of customers) and that they don't serve hot drinks. They have several locations around the state so I will definitely visit other ones. read more

This place was a bit of a hole in the wall, but my colleagues and I were hungry after a day of travel and decided we had to eat at this place based upon its name alone. I got the Cobb salad and found the portion to be generous and the salad dressing to be delightful. I wish I could eat more bread, because the sandwiches smelled AMAZING. read more

Look I'm not counting calories when I come here, but when it comes to flavor you can't top the spot! I'm going to warn you though you will wait in line a long time. Best to order online ahead of time. However expect 45 minutes after ordering online for pick up or longer. Best to order around 11 o'clock in the morning. So let's get down to business, my tuna salad on a toasted roll could not have been better! I think I had it three days in a row during my trip here. Cooked to perfection I could have it every day for the rest of my life! Then someone told me they have sandwiches that are only on their online ordering website. They are not available or posted in the store. How damn cool is that! So I ordered a chicken mother clucker sandwich off the secret menu and let's just say it doesn't get any better than this! The chicken mamba soup was just crazy good! One day I had to do it, I ordered a side of macaroni salad hedging a bet that it would be phenomenal..... yup!!! Super highly recommended if you're in the Denver area and are looking for a lunch that will satisfy on all levels! Snarfs sandwiches never really disappointed me but this time it did a little bit. They are always pretty busy even during weekday anytime...they usually take pretty longer than other sandwich places but since their sandwiches are good I could wait. But this time it took too long(15 mins) for our 2 sandwiches to come out although there wasn't a long line. We ordered BLT sandwich and Italian sandwich. Honesly, Italian sandwich was pretty good but our BLT was a little too salty. I know it's the crispy bacon that can cause salty taste but their sauce was too salty for us too. Other than this disappointment, we might come back because really downtown Denver still does not have variety of sandwich places that rocks more than Snarfs. Snarfs is always our go-to lunch spot but I decided to give the breakfast a try today. For $5.75 you get a pretty solid bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. It's a great size, crispy bacon, perfect eggs and I mean their bread is always amazing. I would definitely go back for breakfast. They were also very fast, made fresh in front of you and even tho I went when they opened at 8, they already had a line which says how great it is. read more

I've tried Snarf's several times, and been underwhelmed each time. The staff is friendly, but that's the best I can say. I just had one of, if not the worst experience picking up food I've ever had. I ordered through the Ritual app - what a nightmare! I waited for 20 minutes at the pick up counter and inquired where my order was, I was told "they were having a rough morning" and it would be right out. Sandwiches here are good and the service is fairly quick. Unfortunately, they have lost a lot of customers in the area due to the change in military discount policy. There is certainly no requirement to offer military discount. But they offered a significant discount at 50%. When they realized this brought in many active duty military - they discontinued the military discount completely. I think they should have adjusted the amount of the discount, rather than cancelling it altogether. There are a number of good sandwich options for lunch right downtown. Policy changes like this one may be enough for some to simply cross the street. read more

To correct the mistake they took the ingredients off the other persons sandwich and put the ingredients I asked for on it, nvm the fact it was the both the wrong bread type and BURNT. We were all definitely impressed with the menu and overall taste of the sandwiches. This place had the most vegetarian options I've seen at a sandwich shop. I got the vegetarian sandwich which included provolone, avocado, and sprouts. I also added hot peppers and mayo. The sandwich is made toasted which gives this amazing crispy crust. (Not too crispy, but just right). I also had a chocolate chip cookie which was pretty moist. I'd definitely recommend coming here for lunch! I tried this place for the first time this afternoon and got a meatball parmesan sandwich. While their bread was really good, I was not impressed with the meatballs. They left a strange aftertaste and were pretty small (cut it half by the looks of it). Additionally, I had ordered my sandwich online for pick up at 11:30. I got there about 10 minutes early with my co-workers and they already had my sandwich ready. So who knows how long it would've been just sitting on the counter turning into soggy bread if I'd picked it up at the scheduled time? The lunch crowd seems to flood in around 11:30 so I would recommend just going a few minutes earlier and ordering your food there. Spoke with Drew, who diligently helped me tackle a catering order to accommodate gluten free and vegetarian needs as well as their standard menu. They arrived at exactly 10:45am, which is the time we has discussed to meet. Drew and his associate helped organize and set up for the lunch, they were very friendly as well as professional.
