There was plenty of street parking and once inside, We had no problem getting a table. the service was great, very quick and friendly staff. I tried the tomahawk, a sweet biscuit with the strawberry jam, egg, and meat, and my date had the Franklin. - savory one with the gravy and bacon. They were both different but pretty good, the biscuits were a blend of flaky and doughy. The meal was very rich and heavy though. I ordered the chicken "pot pie" and my husband just had a cheese burger. Both of us remarked how salty our food was. Maybe it's to encourage people to drink more beer? I truly have no words... but how can something as basic as biscuits and gravy be the best thing I've ever had in my entire life? I heard that people think their biscuits are dry, and although I am no biscuit connoisseur, I was very satisfied and did not think that. Pimento cheese - now this is where my review takes a turn. Just not a fan. When I asked the server for more details on this ingredient, he equated it to cheese whizz. For some reason I still ordered it after this shared opinion. Our first time to Denver Biscuit Co, we love the vibe you get as you enter the restaurant. The music they play is very energetic which is a great to start for a morning meal. The staff are super friendly and helpful with recommendations about which is a top favorite dish to try in case you're not sure what to have. We tried the Cubano, the Cubano is Cuban sandwich version on a biscuit. Denver Biscuit Co has done a great job to put it together and taste delicious one of my favorites. The Franklin is one of the top favorite and popular dish. The combination of bacon, fried chicken and gravy is fantastic. My favorite part is gravy, the gravy is delicious. Everything was amazing! On our way over to DBC I put my name on the wait list so by the time we got there, we only had a few minutes to wait. I love the cute coffee mugs and coffee bar. This was my first time at the South Broadway DBC, and it did not disappoint. Since I had friends in town naturally this was high on their list of brunch options. We have a table of five which was perfect in their booths. If you're not aware, it is a restaurant where they won't seat you until your whole party has arrived even if you are on the waitlist. We didn't wait long at all though since we were all relatively on time. A ton of people showed up right after us though so it got really busy around 10 AM. I always mention to people that my favorite thing is picking my coffee mug while I wait. I found this adorable elephant this time. I liked that it was so funky. This is such a fun element at DBC since it sparks conversations from the start in a group. Our server was phenomenal. He gave us amazing suggestions and was so personable. He suggested sangria, and it did not disappoint. It was like a delicious morning spritz. He also suggested we get the cinnamon roll with crumbled bacon. I don't know why I've never gotten out with bacon before, but I'm a convert now. When my friend asked what would make her "taste buds dance" he suggested the Franklin with Half mushroom gravy and Half sausage gravy, which ended up being the common choice around the table. I've been to DBC so many times, but haven't tried so many of the things the server recommended, so kudos to him. I love this place. Delicious home cooking with a Southern flavor and a menu based around wonderful, made-from-scratch biscuits like mom used to make (if your mother was a wizard in the kitchen). The concept of combining this breakfast/lunch spot with a bar and a pizzeria is also brilliant. I can't resist the shrimp & grits (yes, they can do cheese!) when I come here. Their execution is flawless. The biscuits are hearty and this is a lot of food, so I usually take home about half of the plate for another full meal. This dish makes great leftovers.
