It is not just a 9th ave massage joint, the staff has a thorough knowledge of what they are doing and can actually treat an injury and provide therapy to an injured back. Linda is awesome. She checked on me twice at the beginning if I needed the massage to be stronger (yes), is it ok now (yes). I somehow hurt my back and I was aching for 2 days before I decided I need a massage and decided to check this place out after reading Yelp reviews. Linda totally removed all the knots I had (i told her i hurt my back) and the ache was gone the next day! $38 for 45min or $48 for 60min. I had to rush off and ended up with a 50min massage and it was $44 (the price of a 20min + 30min massage) which is like $6 for a 5min extra massage! Awesome massage! Just popped in for some stress relief and man I got it. The staff was super friendly and receptive to what I needed as far as pressure and where I needed the most attention Bottom line, it's a great priced little gem in Hell's Kitchen. My back was in so much pain that I couldn't take it anymore! I was in Times Square and needed to find a place close by with reasonable prices. Yelp brought me here. Don't expect much in terms of ambiance. It's a no frills type of place. I was led through a hallway to a massage table that was sectioned off by curtains. The masseuse did a god job and the hot towel at the end felt good. It was a 20 minute massage for $20, so basically $1 a minute. read more

The website lists 'Swedish' and 'Deep Tissue' as available options although both types are performed in the same manner in practice. The guy in charge is pretty stern about giving a good amount of tip post the massage so be ready for a scolding if you plan to tip lower than his expectations. Amazing experience after the concierge at my hotel told me that this was a great place to go if you don't want the glitz and glam. It's a little store that you walk into and then are greeted by a lovely hostess and taken back to your "room." Like my hotel said no "glitz and glam," but man that was one of the best massages that I have had in a long time! One thing that didn't really make me too happy was that by the time my hour was up, she had just started on my front side. She then asked me if I'd like the massage to go longer and I said "yes" because I was in the moment and it was truly relaxing. About $80 later, I had a massage that was well worth it. Snowflake had a special over xmas for a massage and facial for $100. Great deal! I was brought to a room in the basement had my massage first, as I requested and then a different lady came in to do my facial! Was great to not have to switch rooms! Massage was great and I asked my therapist to only focus on my back which was giving me issues. Facial was very good and the only thing I would have preferred was if they told me what products they were applying. Overall a great experience if you can get past the curtains as walls. If you have disrespectful people around you it negatively affects your experience. I had a few minutes of girls laughing but they stopped thankfully! This place is the BOMB. Due to the 10 hours that I spend sitting in front of a computer every single day, my neck and back have been experiencing a lot of stiffness as of late. Thank god for this full body deep tissue massage for saving me from the pain. $30 for 30 minutes is a great deal in midtown west. The ladies here are super sweet yet know how to give a VERY strong massage. I asked for a lot of pressure, and I'm pretty sure I heard my back crack at least 5 times. This place isn't fancy, and I'm not giving it 5 stars for the decor, just 5 stars because of the experience. It's efficient and comforting so gets the job done right. There aren't any rooms, just dividers, so you might hear the person in the next compartment grunting from the pain / joy. Don't worry though, the dividers are basically ceiling to floor, so you can take your clothes off for the massage without any worry! read more

The massage was average nothing to rave about. I went here based on the good reviews. I have to say that people must be blind, the place is filthy and run down. I understand it's a no frills curtain type of separation but please WASH THEM at least once a week. The bathroom was the worse no paper towels to dry your hands just a dirty towel blood on the floor urine smell. I'm never going back there are way nicer places in NYC. read more

We called a little before we arrived for foot massages. When we arrived we saw the full massage for $50! So we went for it. It was prefect for us. After a long two days of walking around the city, we needed it. The areas for massages where clean as well as the bathroom. They where strong attentive masseuses. You won't get a serene and luxurious atmosphere per se, but you will get someone who knows exactly what they're doing in the massage dept. I recently arrived in New York for work. This means both living in one of the most exciting cities in the world, as well as putting my spine in a bad position for long hours every day. So I decided to adapt, and do what a lot of New Yorkers do as well - get a massage! After some Yelping I decided this was the place I should go. And no regrets! Ok, it looks kind of small and there are only curtains separating you from the other people, but it's pretty cheap as well. But what's most important here - the massage was AMAZING! The girl who worked on me was Rita. She is tiny, but she had superstrong hands and knew exactly where to press. I loved everything: the part where she massaged me when the towell was still on me, the way she put her elbows in my back (I am serious!), and then when she got out the hotstones, I just felt my muscles relax and the tension went away quickly. Rita was also really nice. I specifically asked her to work on my back, so that's what she focused on for the 45 minutes. All in all, my back felt a lot better for weeks after. Firstly,called in for a 30 min foot massage for $30. They said they were booked. Then she said I could come in. 1. The rooms have bright lights relaxing much uh... no! She did give me a towel to cover my eyes but still... 2.the guy in the next curtsin kept huffing and puffing.ugh so annyoing. 3.I felt like i paid for someone to oil down my feet,very little techinque.Very,very soft didnt even massage my ankles or much of my calves. 4. My feet still hurt,as in the foot massage was a waste of money. Most of the time I was thinking "umm what is she doing?!" 5.I proceeded to pay and right when I was going to tip,she pulled out a cardboard sheet that said 20% tip. How insulting! I know how to tip and was getting ready to tip even though the service was terrible, but the fact that I felt obligated with this sign situation really turned me OFF. I have certainly tipped well at other massage places. 6.If you cant massage my feet correctly why would I trust you with my naked body.No thanks! In all, maybe this place thrives because of location.I havent seen any other massage places around this area. This ruined my eventful day so much for treating my feet after a fun hip hop class! I lived in China for a few months where I was introduced to Eastern massage. I came back to NYC looking for that experience, and I'm so glad I found this place! Although it's no frills, the people who work there are magicians with their hands, and they provide an authentic experience. An hour massage consists of a "warm up" with a towel on top of you, then they break out the massage oil and hot stones. I couldn't imagine going for less than an hour, but regardless of what length of time you go for, I'm pretty sure you'll have a fabulous experience!! A+ every time. read more

The appearance of this place is really unattractive. But I was extremely stressed and could even hear my muscle crying, I just decided to give it a try. Never felt so GREAT after receiving a massage treatment. I got the 60 minutes deep-tissue service. The masseuse didn't talk or chat but totally care about my reaction, like my back was really sensitive. I didn't feel any difference from my previous massage experience but I noticed that every press was very accurate and firm. She has the best skill and really knows how to relax the muscle without making you bruised. I didn't notice whether the service included foot scrub or not. When I walked out of the store, I was so surprised to find that, not only my whole body was so light, but my feet was so smooth! I felt like I had been cleaned up from the inner and couldn't stop smiling, feeling grateful and satisfied from my heart. Pricing is totally reasonable. Forgot to ask the masseuse's name but I would definitely come again next time I need a massage. This was just an amazing experience. read more

Cant believe such a reasonably priced massage can be found near Times Square. As others mentioned, no frills which is perfectly fine. My therapist Dani gave a very very deep tissue trmt. There are poles on the ceiling for walking on but was not offered. Loved the hot rocks and hot towels at the end to remove the oil. Will definitely return and soon. read more

After a long flight to NY, we wanted a massage, so the first thing we did was check out Yelp reviews for some suggestions. The Snowflakes Spa was highly recommended and now we know why. We contacted them at 1pm, and were able to get into an appointment at 3pm. It was super easy and convenient. While the physical location of the "spa" is fairly small and far from glamorous, the quality of the massage has been one of, if not THE BEST massages we've had. We signed up for a full-body massage and this package came with a stone massage (which we experienced for the first time). The pressure and techniques by the massage therapist did not disappoint (sometimes there are massage therapists who become relatively weaker in certain areas as time prolongs). I desperately needed a massage today because I had a kink in my neck from sleeping on the extra "bed" in my sisters hospital room...she just had her 3rd baby!!! I digress...ok, found the place on Yelp and it seemed reasonable with good reviews so I gave it a try. What I loved: The massage! She listened to my concerns/problems and totally worked me out very well. They have the ceiling bars for the therapist to hold as they stand on me...she was just as amazing with her feet as she was with her hands! I'm feeling so much better. What I liked: It seemed clean and they were ready to take me right away. They were professional and courteous. What I disliked: There are no "rooms" but just curtains that keep you from the other customers. It was a little too warm in there for my comfort. What I hated: There is a $1.50 credit card fee per transaction. Doesn't say that anywhere but on a paper behind the desk that they showed me AFTER I complete my massage. I really dislike like those sneaky tactics. I would totally go back (with cash!) if I needed a quick fix in the future. read more

I just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a massage place. This place was so close and the price was really great. The massage was ok and could be better, but not bad. The only downside is that you get your own room, but it's only separated by a curtain, so you can hear other people in the other rooms. I also felt a little uncomfortable because I had to undress, but the massage lady would come in and out and open the curtain multiple times. At one point during the massage, she also had to walk out to talk to her colleague who got a complaint from the person next door. I would definitely come back, but please get proper doors or at least keep the volume down! read more

Went here because of good reviews and proximity to my place. Making same day appointment was easy, although there was a language barrier. I have asked for Dani, since her name was mentioned in couple of reviews. I was desperate for massage and have an experience in similar Chinese simple but good massage salons around the city so I wasn't expecting much in terms of ambiance. My masseuse had very strong hands but felt like just not finding the right spots. I had a 30 min massage and did not want it anymore. Next morning I discovered painful bruises on my back which took a few days to go away. I could deal with that if felt better during/after massage but it I did not. I may give it another try in case if I just got the wrong masseuse but hygiene of place turned me off as well- covering towels seemed to be reused. read more

After a rough night on a bad mattress, my wife and I needed a massage to ease the neck pain. I LOVED that they offered massages in smaller time increments, as we both just wanted a quick 20 minute session to allow our necks to rotate again. Had I not seen her, I would have assumed my masseuse was a 250lb man with the power she had! It was amazing, such a great/deep massage. There aren't a whole lot of "bells & whistles" in regards to decoration, but they definitely know what they are doing. read more
