Got my lift finally done today. I waited and saved for over a year to get this lift on my 2018 Tacoma. I contacted SOCAL suspension back in early September of 2019. I spoke with Nick when I first started doing my research and he was beyond accommodating. This dude is awesome. It's not hard to be friendly and patient towards your customers. The other place I tried to go to was the opposite. Nick made sure I was informed in every step. My Tacoma had a taco lean and they did their best to fix my issue. SoCal suspension installed stage 6 Icon kit on my 4 runner. Communication throughout the progress was great. Even with the are shortages of parts, they worked with their vendors to order and get parts in a timely manner. I am not knowledgeable in lift kits and all it requires. They were patient and friendly even though I asked a ton of questions. Murisa and Chris are friendly, and direct. They won't try to up sale you crap. This place is amazing. Customer service: I went in knowing absolutely nothing about lift kits, and honestly was just shopping around with no plans of getting a lift that day. I explained what I wanted, and was recommend a quality lift kit, and was also educated on several other things about lifts, wheels and tires. The only place you should consider for suspension work. If you want a shop to care about the details as much as you do, give them a call. I have been to this shop to install different suspension components numerous times already. And, since I can't leave my truck good and well alone, I'll keep going back. I haven't done any custom work here but I really don't think another shop would have the knowledge and passion needed for quality custom work. I previously went to a "professional auto shop" about my self installed coilovers and the noises they make when I drive, they asked me what kind and scoffed when I told them. They said "you get what you pay for. You need to buy another set of more expensive/better quality coils." Obviously they were no help. I then used yelp to search for other opinions. I contacted Nick through Yelp and he responded within a few hours. He was able to get my car into the shop the following Monday. Everyone there was very respectful, honest, thorough, and quick. They found what was making a noise which was due to me taking off a piece of tape around one of the coilovers during the installation. They proceeded to put a silicone ring around it and instead of putting the wheels on and assuming it was good, they took it back on the road for a test drive to see if the noise was gone. There seemed to have been some noise still because they brought it back into the shop and did their finishing touches, another test drive, and I was out in an hour. The price for this service was very reasonable and they were even able to diagnose another potential problem while they were under my car and offered to repair it if I bought the part which was very cool of them. I will definitely be back if I have any more problems with my coilovers. I just wish they could do everything for my car from now on. Not just coil overs. read more

First off - I think it's worth stating that I created a Yelp account solely to write this review. Nick and his team at SoCal Suspensions are awesome. I'll try to bucket the reasons below so it's easy to follow. 1. I have a lot of questions. I like to do my research and always do my homework before spending money. Nick was super patient and answered all of my questions without getting frustrated or changing his tone, and I know for a fact that he's real busy. Every time I called the shop, he answered and was open to explaining why he had suggested certain parts or doing the work a certain way. 2. His team is awesome. The work was done perfectly. During my first visit I lifted my 2004 Toyota 4Runner with 5100 Bilstein's and OME Coils. When I came back to the shop, I found out that my 4runner (from New York) was rusted to hell in certain areas and needed a lot of manual labor, essentially I gave Nick and his team "over-time" and they re-assured me it was "no problem", "they've seen worse", and "this happens, part of the business". The second time I visited was to replace my axle's. Again, when I came back to the shop to checkin on the work, Nick's crew let me hang out, ask 1000 questions about which parts do what, what work I should do next and when, and helped me understand some of the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. I've never met mechanics that are so friendly and will actually explain what they did and give their genuine advice for moving forward. 3. Very fair price 4. So last year I was contemplating buying a new car because my 2019 Toyota Corolla sat so low to the ground. I was getting really tired of having my car scrape everything when parking and hitting dips in the road. My Corolla barely had any miles on it because of Covid and I just couldn't justify spending so much money on getting a new car in today's market. Fast forward to the end to last year, my boyfriend found SoCal Suspension and we looked into options regarding getting my Corolla lifted. Side note, when we called, they were very excited to get their hands on lifting a Corolla, as that is not a very common thing to lift LOL. SoCal Suspension gladly took on the project, and was able to find me a 1.5 inch lift kit and told me they could see me within a week of when we called. I got my car back literally the next day. They advised that I should probably get bigger tires at some point, but it wasn't an urgency-I just might hear more of the road noise. Conveniently, I was nearing getting new tires anyways since stock tires pretty much don't last beyond 30k miles, so I finally got some today and wanted to take the time to review SoCal for their excellent service and professionalism. can u review a place that u haven't really used? u decide...i sent a yelp msg. with pics to get pricing and was told to call. i did, whoever answered said he messaged me. went over the project by phone was told he'd need to see it to quote and to rack it would be $130 (their hourly charge) i don't know about u, but drigin 45 mins. there and back, paying $130 to get a quote isn't my idea of good service. suppose their quote is as reasonable as their estimate? tyhen what, i ahve nothing other than $130 less in my pocket? when i objeted he said they were slammed, and, to be fair, their time IS valuable, but already someone else just bent down and gave me a quote (too high) and someone else gave me an appt. for a FREE estimate. so this is iin no way a reflection on their work, which maybe first rate, MAYBE, but at $130 to find out, i'm not going to chance it. it's more a reflection on their business model, greedy, which is what turned me off! read more

So I had some 33's installed on my Taco and there was some bad rubbing inside the wheel well. So I requested some trimming done. When it was all said and done, as soon as I hit the freeway, I hear a loud, continuous rubbing sound. I guess there wasn't enough clearance done. That's when I went to Nick for advice. It seems like when the wheel well was trimmed, the part where the bottom attaches to the fender got chopped off instead of pinching it back into the fender. So the wheel well was left loose and thus creating the tire to rub against it at higher speeds. Nick offered to screw the left over wheel well back into the inner fender at no cost! Now, no more rubbing! Now that's customer service! And Nick's shop was about to close and he still took the time take care of me. Such a nice dude. And I'm actually going back to get more work done.
