This is my favorite place in the valley!!! They have a spacious, gorgeous outdoor patio. Their HH menu is decent. Their dishes are tasty. And their games are FREE!!! The billiards tables are usually always full with players, so u have to wait ur turn, but u can usually get on a ping pong table pretty quick. A few of my other fav games there are darts, buck shooting, & skeeball. They have foosball & a couple others as well! U have to actually be looking for this place since it's not easily visible from the street. The Social Hall sign is not big and in neon lights, so if u see a gas station next to it, that's ur turn! I may be a Mac and Cheese expert at some point after writing constant reviews about the dish. I have to say, this one was one of my favorites. Add Buffalo chicken to it, and for me, it's a winner, hands down. Buffalo Mac - can't go wrong! Pair it with a Moscow Mule! Staff was knowledgeable and was constantly checking in on our table to see if they could meet any of our needs. Bonus points for that! Loved how dim the lights were around our table. What a horrible experience we had. We were here to celebrate our ASU graduate and have a family dinner and the employees saw us come in with children and didn't say anything and they waited until we ordered and then kicked us out because we had minors. Thank you to the people at Social Hall for making our baby shower for 21 people a wonderful event. The food was delicious and the staff was super accommodating and helpful. I especially enjoyed the space at Social Hall. I was able to decorate our corner of the courtyard beautifully to make an already lovely space even lovelier. Several of my guests said that it was the best food they have ever eaten at a baby shower. I agree. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the buffet or the food, but I do have a couple of photos of people enjoying their plates at the table. Kudos to Social Hall! We wanted to have lunch with our college daughter and she recommended we meet here. It's a little tough to find (we passed in by and had to turn around) but it was worth the search. New Mexico menu with some other offerings (like orange chicken?), so was a unique menu. Not being excessively hungry, I opted for the posole and it was a winner. Slow burn for heat, super tender pork and the dipping tortilla was yummy. I could only eat half of it- very filling- so the rest is coming home for lunch tomorrow. Daughter had the breakfast quesadilla and could only eat half of it- it's a big meal. And hubby had the jalapeño pepper smoked wings and they were fantastic. They don't look great, but when you take a bite; they are THE PERFECT crispy/heat combo. Will definitely be back for more. We played a couple rounds of skeeball (one of the machines doesn't appear to keep score at the moment) and a few rounds of Galaga for nostalgia sake. I really adore this space. The drinks and food are amazing. That have a pretty great happy hour as well, and the staff is always courteous. I came here with a friend to catch up - and we bounced back and forth from inside, to the patio, to the game room, and bar. My group order quesadillas, burger, and fried chicken bao buns. Server was nice and food was served quick but the fried chicken from the bao buns came out dry and over fried so we didn't eat it. It's also a bar and restaurant and the place is huge! There's plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. I made a reservation through their Yelp page and it was extremely smooth and easy. Our server Connor was super nice. The food was okay. The highlight was the Elote, we all agreed it was very flavorful and perfect. The Green Chile Mac & Carnitas was runner up. The Coconut Shrimp seemed a bit tough, the Nachos with Smoked Brisket were okay, so was the Beast Burger, and Orange Chicken. Really dope vibes here. My friends and I planned a large dinner party here for 17 people and shout out to TAYLOR for making our experience eventful! We were seated outside right next to the fire pit and outdoor swinging chairs. We ordered everything from the mesquite smoked wings, nachos, elote, Cubano, Atlantic salmon, lobster mac, orange chicken, ribeye steak and the veggie burger. Everything was delicious but we all loved the lobster mac, steak and salmon. The mac had plenty of lobster in it and the cheese was rich. The steak was marinated and cooked perfectly at medium rate. The salmon had a great lemon creamy risotto paired with it. The wings packed some heat and some of my friends who love spice said be careful. This is a great place to plan something for an event. I noticed another large group inside celebrating a birthday inside. They have indoor seating as well with plenty of bar seating to catch any game. Highly recommend Social Hall if you want great American food and the perfect location to hold any event. Social Hall is a restaurant with a bar and free games located in Tempe. They also offer a large patio that has hammocks, a stage and a fire place. The brunch menu has a nice variety of dishes to please most people. We were in the area so we stopped here for lunch. My husband ordered a breakfast burger and I ordered a salmon salad. Service was average.....My husband requested the mayo on the side and instead of putting the mayo on the side they used a generous amount of mayo on the burger. Nobody checked on us till we were almost finished. I thought my salad was ok...nothing was wrong with it. My husband said his burger was ok....but not. so flavorful. He thought that they didn't use any salt or pepper on it. He said because of all the mayonnaise on the bun that he had to avoid the bun and have a healthier meal anyway...... When we were finally checked on our server was very apologetic and said that we will get 15% off our bill. My husband said that that was nice but not necessary because he ate the burger. Then we get the bill and she says that she took the whole burger off the check....That was very generous of the restaurant to do. They really didn't have to do that. We wanted to leave quickly because they have a fly problem. We had to swat the flies away as we were eating. It wasn't only our table. I noticed everyone around was also busy swatting flies. Lovely patio with misters in the building that used to be Minder Binders back years ago. There's also another patio, more like a fenced porch, with couches were you can play the games available. Some people were playing Jenga as we walked by, and other games and machines are available too at the back of the building. The food we had - there were five of us - looked and tasted good, although I could only eat the roasted brussell sprouts because all the other dishes ordered were full of chili and peppers: I'm tremendously allergic and carry Epi Pens when eating out, so didn't dare taste anything else. The Buffalo Mac n' Cheese, Tinga, Tacos and salsa with chips all made me want to try them, but couldn't. My friends all said they enjoyed the food and the empty plates confirmed this :) The service is where things came undone: the gal that took our orders was nice and chatty the first moments, but then she sadly didn't know how to take orders and remember what was asked for and didn't bring what I had asked for; we let it go until she didn't come back in a reasonable time with another order. Waiting for her to come around to see if we needed anything else was scattered and a long time; for my part I wasn't happy at all because I ordered my cocktail with no ice but both times it had more ice in it than cocktail. Not wanting to cause a problem I didn't say anything when the Manager came over to chat and see how we were doing. But when we waitied a long time for another pitcher of beer I went in and asked the barman if there was a pitcher waiting for our table, and also explained that both my drinks had ice even though myself and a friend had asked for no ice. He kindly said he would make me another drink and send it over to the table. Very much appreciated, thank you to the barman! He asked me who our server was and then had her called out of the kitchen. I was puzzled by her vacuous eyes and the fact that she came out chewing food and seemed to not even recognize me or the problem at hand but just ...stood there. There is a handful of free arcade games in the back that provide for a great time. On my third visit here, I did order the posole. I was a little disappointed at the temperature of the posole. Unfortunately not impressed. Had the Belgian waffle....VERY dense, overcooked, no flavor and requires way more syrup than what I like to use....just to halfway get it down; needless to say, didn't eat it all. The bacon was good though....the coffee was not good and hubby had green tea....it was Great Value brand . I hosted a birthday party for my husband & 50 guests in the Rafter Room. From the moment I toured the venue, to the planning, to the cleanup at the end of my event, Ashley (Director of Operations & Private Events) & the rest of the staff took amazing care of us. My party was incredible, and all of our guests were very impressed. The food (I booked the "University" meal package) was above and beyond what I expected for buffet food. The carved prime rib was delicious!!!! The bar manager also worked with me to create a Featured Drink, in honor of the birthday boy, and I had numerous people comment on how good it was. The venue is unique & has a very trendy vibe. We had the best experience! I would absolutely recommend the Social Hall for anyone looking for an energetic & fun event space that will have you and your guests smiling the entire time. Decided to have a family dinner. We walked in around 8pm on a Wednesday night, not super busy. We checked in and waited for about 5 minutes. There is seating inside and out and everything is decorated for the holidays. Our server was really nice and offered suggestions for cocktails and his favorite dishes. The cocktails were a little weak if you're looking for a stiff drink. The food can our quickly and we had great laughs. There are games to play as well. Cool place. My came to this spot recently for a private event. While I thought it was fine, I was not completely blown away. There was a buffet that was comprised of veggies and bread with dip as well as chips and salsa, and tacos. The plates they used were tiny and kind of a pain to use. I'm fine with smaller plates when appropriate, but it was hard to fit everything on them. Also, as a pescatarian there were not great options. I basically at veggies and chips and salsa as I was not able to have the tacos because the only filling they provided was meat. The addition of some black beans would have been a good option.
