We were greeted by a rude cashier who clearly didn't want to be there and we were given attitude with whatever request we had. And, God forbid you have a problem, because management will find a way to blame you for whatever issue you bring up to them, regardless of whether it is your fault or not. Let me tell you what happened to me yesterday. As a blind individual, I went into this establishment with my guide dog, who was leashed and harnessed at all times. The waitress said my dog was not allowed to be in the restaurant, when I said that she was allowed by law, this waitress went to find her manager. He repeated the same thing, claimed to be familiar with thr Americans with Disabilities Act (when he was not) and went as far as to say that he had his own service animal, thus pretending to be disabled. When I brought up these issues to the owner, instead of using this as a teachable moment and educating her staff on thr Americans with Disabilities Act, she falsely claimed that my dog was off leash and that that's why I was being kicked out. There were several people in my party all of whom corroborate my story and issues with my dog's leash were never raised when I was being told that I could not be in this establishment yet, somehow, this whole altercation was my fault. They are not customer centric and they will lie through their teeth before they admit they were wrong. Awful place that discriminates against people with disabilities. Well, it's a terribly small pie for $20. I added mushrooms to a whole "Meaty Meats" pizza, and the toppings weren't plentiful or tasty enough for that price point (almost $2 up charge to sprinkle a few mushrooms on the pie?). A few other local spots load there pizza to the brim with toppings. There's thin crust and then there's pita bread style crust. This is like toasted pita bread with toppings. I couldn't taste the marinara, and if you like cheesy pizza this is definitely not the place for you. I love you guys' setup, truly. It's a lovely little establishment, but for my pizza night I was left craving a cheesy/saucy pizza - my girlfriend and I are going for round 2 elsewhere. FINALLY a good pizza place in the Medical District! I had been eagerly awaiting its opening since I first saw construction starting. Firstly, I love this place for its location (it's literally a 2-minute walk from my place) and secondly, the pizza is delicious. I've tried the meaty meat and sausage & arugula pizzas. Both were yummy. The crust is thin and crispy, and there is a good proportion of cheese and toppings. They're also always happy to sub in different ingredients. Social pie offers great deals on weekends for lunch--50% off pizzas for dine-in customers! They also have a dog-friendly patio (though I wish their patio were larger). When you enter, you walk up to the counter to place your order, then find a seat after you order/pay. The servers were extremely polite and helpful. We ordered the house salad (with avocado) and the BBQ Chicken Pizza. Side note: They mention the salad is for 2, and that's extremely accurate. One pizza easily serves 2-4 people (depending on how hungry everyone is). The food comes out pretty fast, and the servers are very responsive and helpful. The interior is nicely laid out and I do prefer the concept of ordering first then sitting down. You get your receipt after you pay to leave on your number thing they give you. It was a little confusing how to close out the tab at your table. You essentially have to flag someone down or wait for someone to come by. Then, wait for the final paper bill to come. I dig that they are eco-conscious and participate in sharing profits with a charity you can vote for on their website. On a different note, I downloaded their iPhone app and ordered through it on a separate occasion. Loved it. Simple to use and you can use Apple Pay so no sharing your cc info. It's very good for pizza in Dallas. I'll start that way for the TL:DR peeps. I felt the atmosphere was nice. Good feeling place. Nice decor and design. Several TVs for sports. I could see on a cooler day when they have the windows and front opened up it would be a really good place to hang out. The pizza. It tasted pretty good. Good enough that it's one of the better places in Dallas, but yeah, it's in Dallas. Dallas has great food, but it isn't New York, Chicago, etc... Social's pizza is thin. Touch salty, but not too much. My pepperoni pizza had a nice toast to the top of the crust and cheese. The pepperoni was of the nicer higher quality large slice deli kind which is a good example of the quality. On the negative side though, it seems their oven is hot to quickly toast, but they are cooked on cold pans. This creates a good top toast, but the bottom of the pizza and the interior of the crust was overly soft and just a bit above doughy. The bottom of my pizza was nearly white with no hint of being fired. The price wasn't terrible. Almost $14 for the pepperoni. It is competitive. I did fell the $7.50 for a draft beer was a bit of a princely sum though, even if it was a local craft beer. Made me wish I hit their 2-7 Happy Hour pretty badly. Overall, I've been to a thousand places that are worse, and in the Dallas pizza world this deserves a return visit. If it was in NYC, I might not be as kind. read more

Went here last night and had to deal with 2 employees who kept telling us opposite things about whether we were allowed to eat outside or not. An older lady kept lecturing us about how we can't sit outside because we got a to-go order, but the younger lady kept saying we were fine and apologizing for the older lady's behavior.
