The establishment is fantastic and they found a way to make it cozy as big as it is. Our server was fantastic and knew the entire beer list and when asked what she recommended, she gave us a great idea on what to order drink and food wise. We sat upstairs above the front door and had a great view of the entire establishment. The bar tenders are surgical while making cocktails and talking to customers. We ordered the Brussel sprouts and truffle fries for appetizers and both were amazing. I ordered the mussels appetizer which was large enough to be a meal as my main. It was cooked perfectly and the wine butter sauce had a nice heat to it. My wife ordered a burger which was honestly too big to eat in one sitting. Cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. We were both a little under the weather so we didn't drink but the cocktail menu looks amazing and the table next to us raved about the drinks when I asked them. I can't wait to go back. Little tip, during the Christmas season make a reservation.

Now I get the hype! First timer, but definitely not our last. The food is exceptional - the drinks perfection all with good service. We started with the Chorizo Clams which were amazing. I had the KingPin burger which sounds busy but it's a flavor melody in your mouth! I swapped the fries for a panzenella salad - let me just say, salad shouldn't taste that damn good! I was driving so I opted for the local brew cup of coffee with dinner and as a true coffee snob I will say it impressed as much as the salad - it's so good I drank it black and had a second cup! That alone sold me that I have to go back for brunch.

Love that they took an old bank from the early 1900's. Preserved a lot of the original details of the building and maintained architectural integrity. The vault is open and decorated with barrels. It's a very hipster vibe bar. Need reservations on the weekend. Bar gets packed. Very trendy and patrons of all ages. Young groups and older couples. Really good mix of clientele. Little store to sell their stuff here too The staff are all friendly and attentive. They work really well together and make everything run smoothly. Drinks: Search for Figfoot - strong vermouth flavor. Good and not too sweet Are we there yeti? - like a lemon whiskey sour. Very strong lemon zest flavor. Mint to be blue- very good. Strong pepper flavor but not too spicy. Pairs well with the sweet. Food: -Harvest salad with shrimp- very good. Flavors pair well together. Just a bit dry, ask for extra dressing on the side if you order it -King Pin burger- good charred flavor. Basic burger. Hand cut fries are really good.

Social Still is a distillery and kitchen in Southside Bethlehem. They are open Tue - Thu 12:00PM - 10:00PM, Fri - Sat 12:00PM - 11:00PM, and Sun 11:00AM - 4:00PM. This place makes excellent cocktails, but I came for the food. The menu is seasonal so there are always new items to try. I started with the Mussels & Frites. It's made with sausage, garlic, shallot, absinthe, herbs, and hand cut fries. The mussels were fresh and the broth had a great flavor. The fries were soggy, but for this dish I didn't mind. For my entree I ordered the Thursday Special; 1/2 rack of apricot bbq ribs with cucumber salad and potato salad. The sides were enjoyable but the ribs were awful. Perfectly cooked ribs need a gentle tug to remove the meat. These required a pry bar. I usually never complain, but when we did our server was more defensive than apologetic. Luckily, management made it right. Our meals were comped and we were given a gift card to come back. Mussels & Frites - 8.2 Apricot BBQ Ribs - 1.9 Mom's Cucumber Salad - 7.4 Grandma's Potato Salad - 7.8 Food - 6.3 Service - 6.7 Value - 6.5 Restaurant score - 65

My wife and I have visited Social Still on multiple occasions and we always have positive experiences. We have come here for date night, with small groups, and with a big group. I have bought their bottles for Christmas gifts. They have a rotating menu that changes every few months. On this particular visit, we came for her birthday. We had a reservation since it was during the first day of Musikfest and there was a sold out concert across the street. The waitress was spot on with her recommendations from drinks to entrees. We had the chips and dip for an appetizer. I'm not one for appetizers usually but the sour cream and onion chips were house made and they're my favorite. My wife had the Big Bad Wolf (three types of pork) and I had the burger. We got dessert and coffee as well. She ordered the peach cobbler, which donated part of the price to one of the cook's ongoing cancer treatments, and I had the carrot cake. We took home leftovers and everything was fantastic as usual. Highly recommend!

Went to a show at Wind Creek Casino and wanted to grab a bite before, so I searched the area for a nice spot. I think I found the BEST one! It's such a cool vibe, a neat building (old bank), great seating inside and out, upstairs and downstairs, bar... can't beat it. They have a little shop when you walk in where they sell mixers and spirits. I can't say enough about how good our experience was. Our server was excellent. She had great insight on the menu, great drink selections, food was hot, came out quick, and tasted amazing. The When I Dip, You Dip was phenomenal. I would order it every time. She suggested it to us, and we realized every other table had an order, usually a really good sign. I'm still thinking about it a week later, lol. The homemade chips, too (cue mouth watering). We ended up shifting from big entrees to small meals and more drinks... don't judge us, haha. Split shrimp Caesar salad, the grilled shrimp on the cold greens is one of my favorite contrasts. Shaved parm was a perfect addition to a good Caesar salad. We also split the chicken sandwich. It was so good! Comeback sauce and roasted tomatoes really made the sandwich for me... and the fries are awesome. All the drinks we had were phenomenal. Excellent spirits and menu. Next time I'm in Bethlehem, I will 100% return to Social Still. Excellent stuff going on here, check them out!

Wifey and I have stopped in here each time we've gone to the Christkindlmarkt, also in Bethlehem. Every time we've eaten here the food was absolutely delicious. This past year, we just stopped in for drinks and we were again impressed with their creations. I also got "taste-tested" into buying one of their bourbons. Our waitress suggested I try it so I went to the bar and asked the bartender who told me about it and when I tried it I immediately went and bought one. Do yourself a favor...stop in for a drink or two.

Within a five minute drive from The Wind Creek Casino in Bethlehem and directly across the street from the National Museum of Industrial History (which can be used for parking when visiting the Museum or Social Still Restaurant) lays an old bank building converted to a distillery which also serves fun vibes and quality food and drink. My girlfriend and I originally had planned to get the artisan looking gluten free crab cakes however after analyzing their menu we both agreed to split the massive Kingpin Burger. The Kingpin Burger (Two ¼ Lb Steak Burgers, Cooper Cheese, Crispy Shallots, Bacon Jam, Lemon Aioli, Arugula, Brioche Roll) comes with gluten free spectacular french fries ( think soft but perfectly fried boardwalk-ish).....and bacon jam....insert drool imagine here. If you dine on the first level you have nice ambiance of bar / distillery pub drinking vibe. The backdrop behind the bar showing the massive distillery where the alcohol is being made. You also can admire the beautifully lit up vault door with blue / purple lights that holds perhaps their stock pile of brewed spirits. They also have a merch shop where you can buy t-shirts, bottles of their Gin, Whisky, and other items if you want to take home some souenviers from your experience. I am glad we found this spot and can fully endorse recommending you try when visiting the Bethlehem area. As always people SYOY!!!

Showed up as a party of 2 without reservations, and were welcomed right away. We were led up to the 2nd floor seating area. Our waitress was friendly and was more than happy to share her favorites. The drinks were delicious and all made with their house made spirits. If you're on the fence get the dip, you won't regret it. The Crispy Chicken Sammich, and the 215 Pork Sandwich did not disappoint! If you're in the area for the christkindlmarkt skip the food and try this place!

The cocktails were really good. I understand why the jalapeño heist is so popular now. The service was good and the place has a cool vibe.

Omgoodness the drinks are amazing! Highly recommend need I say s'more on the rocks was amazing even for my friend who doesn't drink liquor. The food is the fresh and perfect portion size.

I attended Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy Part II in DC, and overall it was a really enjoyable…read moreexperience--especially for fans of Poe--but with a few logistical quirks worth noting. First, "speakeasy" is definitely used loosely here. The event took place in a ballroom at the Kellogg Conference Hotel, with a stage set up at the front and several round 8-top tables arranged throughout the room. It felt more like a small theatrical performance with table seating than an intimate, hidden speakeasy-style venue. One thing to flag: the event FAQ mentioned that some venues may have a pre-show bar but no food. That wasn't the case here--the hotel actually had food available for purchase before the show. So if that matters to you, it's worth checking directly with the venue rather than relying solely on the event website. The performers truly carry the entire experience. They handle everything--checking tickets, seating guests, serving cocktails, and performing--which is impressive but also leads to some occasional disorganization. When we arrived, there wasn't great communication between the ticket checker and the usher, so some guests seated themselves and had to be moved later. It didn't ruin anything, but smoother coordination would make the start of the evening feel more polished. As for the cocktails: you get four, one paired with each story. Unfortunately, this was probably the most underwhelming part. The drinks weren't very strong--you could barely taste the alcohol--and despite the website showing nice glassware, they were actually served in plastic cups. It didn't quite live up to the "cocktail experience" expectation. That said, the performance itself was fantastic. The cast was engaging, energetic, and clearly passionate about Poe's work. They performed The Pit and the Pendulum, The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee, and The Fall of the House of Usher, and each was brought to life in a compelling way. There were even a few ad-libbed moments that added humor and kept the show feeling fresh. The actors also did a great job interacting with the audience at each table while serving drinks, which added a personal touch. Overall, despite a few hiccups with logistics and the cocktails, the strength of the performances makes this a worthwhile experience--especially if you're a Poe fan.

I usually quaff mine down fairly rapidly, savoring the buzz during dinner and still safely driving home after. I had potato soup, which was very good, and Ming had Beet Carpaccio, which was thinly sliced seared root veggies with seasoning. I only had a bite because she wanted it all! Then came dinner. I had the ribeye, which was done so that it was seared one the outside to keep the flavor in and red (while being cooked thru, not an easy feat) and it's was flavored but not overly salty, were unusual. I ordered my usual Worcestershire sauce to clean off the extra salt, but hardly used any. Ming had the crab cake, which was the only negative of the meal. While not overtired or salty, there was a bit of a fishy smell. Not terrible, but off putting. Luckily for me, I don't like crab anyway so I didn't have any. The desserts were good, with a tasty chocolate cake and a peach cobbler that was good but could have had a bit of peach goo to moisten it a bit. The prices were very competitive considering the venue AND the quality of the food. The bar was hopping too because it looked like a great place to hang out with friends!

After she dropped our food to the table we didn't see her for an hour despite trying our best to flag her down and asking the other waitress to get her for us so we could have our bill. The owner was working harder than this waitress collecting our empty dishes, asked us if we needed anything, cleaning tables( our waitress removed a used empty glass when she seated us) and I have no clue where she went or what she was doing that while time that she failed to see if everything was okay, we needed anything/refills or were ready to the check. This is another great establishment where you can relax and talk without being overwhelmed by loud music, so it's also a great stop for couples. My girlfriend got grilled chicken on spring mix salad with pecans and mandarin oranges. She loved it. My short rib over risotto with broccolini was phenomenal. The rib truly melted. For dessert we had an incredible peanut butter and chocolate pie. Our drinks were good but something seemed to be missing from each of them. I know my vodka martini had too much vermouth. Normally, the bartenders are spot on. We will certainly return.

We ordered the Caribbean conch fritters that were so small. You could barely see them. The gnocchi however, was very good. The two of us that ordered the filet mignon's were very disappointed. The server told us that we should order them medium rare because the medium would be not cooked to our satisfaction. The medium rare came out overdone. When my friend asked for another steak, they brought her a new one that was completely raw in the center. It's clear to me. They don't know how to cook according to temperature. The pan sear deck duck breast was not cooked to perfection either. In between each course, we had to keep asking for silverware because they served us food with no silverware. You should never have to ask in a restaurant of this magnitude to be given silverware with your meal. When we got there, I had brought in a cake for dessert and the guy at the hostess stand said let me take that for you and bring it to the table. I said no it's a surprise. When it came time for dessert, the waitress came over and brought menus for dessert and I clearly said to her we have a cake in the back and she said oh I didn't realize it was for you. Our server was.Danieliz A. I would think when your bill is $500 you would get a little better service than what we were given. I personally owned a fine dining restaurant and to say this experience was subpar is an understatement. The other part that really upset me was when my friend had to send her steak back we were all completely finished eating by the time her meal came out to me. This was a disaster.
