Came here to watch a fight card earlier this year and paid an entrance to get in to cover the fight! We sat ourselves and ordered a beer towers enough for a few people to share. What's amazing about this spot is that they have pool tables, shuffleboard and a ping pong table! It has everything you can imagine for your local bar and it's great when visiting. The service was also really good because the staff is always checking up. We played a game of shuffleboard and it was a bit pricey. Was worth it because we were all just having a good time but felt overpriced. For ordering food, the brisket plate was pretty good, it was on the dry side. We split this four ways so we all got a different piece. The wings were super small, def would not get this again. Any wing spot could've done better. If your just getting a drink or trying to play games, this is the spot but if your trying to get food or not trying to spend a lot, I don't recommend. read more

Society PB is one of the greatest indoor/outdoor sports bars in PB. One big game days the ambiance can't be beat, its electrifying!! The one drawback and recommendation I would propose is to get a few ceiling long blade ceiling fans connected to have better air flow throughout the building. It gets so hot at times for customers as well as staff during big game days. I would highly recommend. It can get a little tough to find a spot, but Ubers are super easy if you prefer a quick drop-off. Society is another great bar spot in Pacific Beach, and walking in, the space immediately felt open with really good energy. I loved how everything was set up, from the long bar area to the patio seating, high-top chairs, and the tables in the back. There are TVs everywhere, so we were able to watch a soccer game while hanging out. The bartender and staff were honestly amazing. My boyfriend ordered a couple rounds of beer, and they were so kind. I mentioned to him that I loved cherries, and the bartender surprised me with a whole cup of them, it was the cutest thing! Incredible staff, fun atmosphere, and an overall great area. The place has a large open area and plenty of pool tables for anyone to play with. Plenty of tv screens to watch sports or music videos. The place has their windows and doors open to try to attract people outside so if it's cold, be sure to being a jacket. The waiters are pretty attentive and come around often to take orders and plates. They seem to have a welcoming vibe. Their well drinks are pretty good, quite strong for meq The chicken is cooked well and has good flavour. There's even extra BBQ sauce in case it's not enough. The menu says "Corn Bread" but it's clearly Texas toast. Not that it matters cause it's tasty. The garlic mash potato was very tasty and well made. Stopped by here to watch the game the other day. We've always wanted to check this spot out because we've heard a lot about Bubb's barbeque and like the fact that they have a of pool tables. We ordered potato skins to start and the brisket sandwich since they were out of pulled pork on the entire menu. the potato skins were good and flavorful. The brisket sandwich was okay - we had a lot of fatty pieces in our sandwich and the bread was fairly soggy when it arrived so we just ended up eating the brisket. The main reason I won't return here is the service. The food did take a while to come out, but the service was not great either. It was incredibly hard to get the server's attention and we'd even try waving right at them to get their attention and their focus was strictly on the game and at one time rolling silverware. It's busy as hellllllllll. College kids galore! I guarantee the night I went was a regular night and if they had something going on, this place has to be a mad house! The venue is nice and spacious unless overly packed with college kids. I loved the TVs, open seating along with pool games and shuffle board. The service was actually pretty damn good and our server was more than helpful in taking our order and getting things to us. Now you would think a place like this the food would be "meh" fear not their actual dishes were ! I opted for the penne pasta with chicken and man oh man packed with flavor! Chicken was a little over cooked but I was still in shock from the presentation of it and the drinks they offer! This is a great place to play Billiards in pb! They have multiple pool tables on the first and second floor. My boyfriend and I went this past saturday, we did go around 6:30 p.m., so we missed a lot of the crowds. It is definitely becomes more challenging to get a table further into the night. You'll also have a server that comes and attends to you at your pool table, which is super convenient to avoid getting stuck at the bar. You pay per hour for pool, and you can pay by card, so you don't need coins or cash to play! read more

While we see other tables constantly getting waited on.... after we asked the waitress several times what is the status of our order we kept getting. It's next. The tables beside us kept getting served. I didn't know that you have to sacrifice 7 virgins, bathe in holy water under a blood moon when mercury is in retrograde just to get served here. This location is interesting. The female/server bartenders are dressed too what appears to be in women's lingerie. It was hot but seemed inappropriate for the restaurant. It made me feel very uncomfortable. A young probably college-age guy was there trying to meet up and bought drinks for 2 women. The women left without him. After the college guy left to use the bathroom, both bartenders laughed as he left alone without one of the women. That seems wrong as well to laugh at the guy. Just watched the Philly Iggles beat the Giants. Great place to watch games, with lots of fans in attendance all wearing our green and plenty of screens. Nice list of draft beers, and the pulled chicken sandwich with fries was delicious. Generous servings, very moist chicken, crispy fries and delicious bbq sauce. Would definitely get this again. Yikes! I really wanted to like this place but DAMN. First off the drinks while strong are not good, they taste cheaply made and not like a $14 drink we had a blue Hawaiian and a Cosmo- the cosmo was strong but tasted like a cranberry vodka, no lime detected. The blue Hawaiian was weak but only tasted like coconut. $29 before tip, I just wasn't impressed. Furthermore, they only had 2 bartenders for a huge location and 2 wandering servers. We were on the second floor and it took forever for a drink order and for them to come. I wonder if it would have been better on the main floor. Because we were in the second floor it was hot as hell, we could only tolerate it for about 45 minutes before we turned our pool balls in and moved to the much cooler downstairs. I would skip this place on a weekend especially with football. It's just not enjoyable. read more

My review was recently deleted, but this needs to be said. The tall guy that keeps yelling at people when they walk in has an ego that he needs to conquer. Instead of looking and these reviews and getting upset and remaining the same, he should take the constructive criticism and try to find a solution. Very disappointed in my experience here tonight. Walked in was carded by the security guard and got a pool table and beverage. Ambiance is pretty standard for pacific beach but maybe a bit on the more upscale side because of the pool tables and nicer televisions. Shortly after I was escorted to the front of the bar by the security and was told to leave. The manager Jeff informed me that I was "high" but doesn't know what it is because I never ordered any alcohol, he then told me I had to leave even though it was on my 26th birthday. My friend Josh Picket who is a regular tried to talk to the security guard and explain the situation but nothing changed. Disgusting attitude from him, very disrespectful to me. I told him I was sober for over 9 months and he thought I was lying. I'm not sure what made him think I was intoxicated that night but he didn't even give me a chance to explain myself and said I got to go. Even when I asked if I could be compensated for my time and not pay for the pool table he refused to give me back my card unless I had paid my tab. He managed to single handedly ruined my entire night that was my only plans I had with my friends and they even were on their way down from LA to see me. Probably will be the last time I ever will be here even though I used to come as a kid with my parents years ago to play pool and have a good time. This used to be my favorite place in pacific beach because they were the only place to have full sized professional pool tables. It really has gone down hill fast and I hope the owner can save it before it goes under because with a manager like that I don't think it will be around for much longer. Didn't get any food so can't rate that tonight but I used to like the potato skins and it's pretty standard bar food. Overall terrible service the managing staff needs to be rebuilt, if someone like that is in customer service, yikes. Waiters and hosts were great, I know the security was just doing his job but he knows me personally so the fact he didn't believe me too is just sad.
