Perfect chicken wings with teriyaki on the side
    Yolanda W.

A delightful time was had. Been a long time and I think it's had a few name changes over the years. Went to celebrate a friend's birthday. Ordered a simple meal that was pretty darn good. Love chicken wings and they were fried to perfection. It's the sauce on the side that was phenomenal. Wide spaced seating inside with both tables and high bar stools. Also the cigar crew was outside also being served. Our waitress Yani was so sweet and constantly checked on us. Like the ambiance and the service. Worth a try to explore local spots. You may be surprised. 26 tvs Wide entrees of steak, pasta, seafood and sizable cocktail and beers. Neighborhood bar winner!

Pleasant servers. Lively atmosphere. Great for watching a game. Food is not bad. Good for a sports bar. A good time to be had by everyone.

Saw that Sofie's Steakhouse opened recently and was happy to stop in for lunch. The owner, Ahmad, greeted me at the door and I made my way to the bar. Since I was only the one at the bar, the gladly owner made my drink and we had a friendly chat about the new restaurant and how excited he was to bring the steakhouse concept to the area. Since it was just lunch, I enjoyed the lamb meatballs and I promise to order it every time I step foot in this place... it was so good!! Not to mention, there are more than enough TVs to enjoy a game or two. I plan to go back for dinner because their menu had a few other dishes I wanted to try including pizza (I mean who doesn't love pizza!). The missing star is really just due to the inability to tell if the place is open during the day. There's no sign that indicates they're open and the doors are tinted so it appeared close mid-day. Nonetheless, there's plenty parking and the place is clean... I'll be back for another visit.

Came here before the food was good. Came today got chicken wings Terrible!! Very dry taste old hard. I am done with this place.

As you probably guessed, we love to celebrate an occasion. Tonight, we are celebrating my husband's cousin Kerry's birthday at Sophie's Steakhouse. I want to start out by saying I love the atmosphere... the DJ is decent - we are in good the drinks are good. Now as for the food.... can you say Salt?!?! The appetizers were salty, with the exception of the spinach dip tasted like it was diluted. My steak salad would have been perfect if my steak wasn't chewy like rubber. Now for the wait staff, there are approximately 23 people in our party and we have only one waitress. I will say that she is very nice but her skills are below par. We're about to leave and I am still waiting for my drink.

We had a great time our waitress was good but the bartender was the star of the show. I loved her personality and she made the best Long Island ice tea I've ever and I mean ever had and believe me I've had a lot of them.

This is how the butter was brought to our table.

Came for lunch and my first sign to run was the fact that at 12:00, there were only two other people in a huge dining room. I ordered the Prime Ribeye medium rare with a loaded baked potato. The baked potato had a few cheese shreds that got hard in the microwave. I asked for butter and it was clearly dropped on the floor. It had crumbs and fuzz all over it. The steak came out with no char on it and the middle was completely gray and well done. I took a bite and it was extremely tough, flavorless, and DEFINITELY not prime grade, nor worth the almost $30 price tag. I told the waitress about the steak and showed her the butter and she just stared at me. She didn't want to take it back. At this point, after seeing what my friend ordered and the filthy butter, I didn't want anything else. She stood there arguing with me that it was medium rare. It wasn't even medium well. She finally took it and then came back to the table to argue that the steak was cooked perfectly. It was inedible to say the least. Save your time and money.

New to the area, Sofie's has a decent menu and a great staff interested in pleasing their customer's. This is a big space as it was previously a popular bar so it has been pretty empty on my 2 visits. We started out with lobster nachos that were really good. I ordered a salmon salad on my first visit which came out quickly and was really good. We also ordered a pasta dish, crab cakes, mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables. On my next visit I ordered to go salmon, potatoes and veggies and it was also really good. Check them out if you're in the area.

It was my cousins birthday and we booked a table 2 weeks in advance! Arrived, manager told us they double booked for a private party and we had to order now, eat & go! Rushed experience. The food was pretty good. Lamb chops, steak, chicken pasta, burger, jerk wings and veggie egg rolls. I might go back

The restaurant is larger than it appears with plenty of seating at tables and the counter. It's spotlessly clean with two all-gender bathrooms. Every worker we encountered was cheerful, super polite, and willing to help. I only waited in line for less than a minute before it was my turn to order. I ordered two Hot Thigh sandwiches to go and then I saw on the order board that they had soft serve ice cream. I just love a good soft serve cone, so I ordered two as well. My husband and I sat down at a table briefly to eat our ice cream cones and wait for our sandwiches to be ready. The ice cream cones looked like they were vanilla, but were actually sugar cookie flavored. That was a fun surprise and quite enjoyable. Soon our sandwiches were ready, wrapped nicely and packed in a bag for us. I was very surprised at how heavy the bag was. We had a long drive home and popped them into the fridge. At dinner time, we unwrapped them and just barely reheated them in the microwave. All I can say is, if they were this good after all that time and being reheated, fresh off the griddle would've blown our minds. I'm not kidding, those were the best hot chicken sandwiches that we've had in a long time. The bun was super soft, they were very generous with the hot sauce and the Duke's mayo, and the not-quite-spicy pickles were very nice touch. The chicken thighs, two(!) to a sandwich, are fried perfectly with a flavorful thin batter, not too thick, and the thigh meat literally melted in your mouth. It was probably the most tender chicken I have ever had. Seriously, you have all got to try this place!

As a San Francisco Bay Area foodie who's been steadily eating my way through Charlotte, I had…read morebookmarked Lee's Sandwiches and was excited to finally give it a try--and overall, it did not disappoint. The concept is refreshingly simple: a straightforward menu of banh mi sandwiches, summer rolls, chips, and prepared foods ready to go. They also offer beer on tap, traditional Vietnamese iced coffee and tea, and fresh fruit smoothies. No frills--just solid, approachable Vietnamese fare. I ordered the #8 Chinese barbecue (char siu) banh mi and requested light pâté and extra vegetables. The sandwich was made to order and came out quickly. One of the owners kindly let me know that pâté typically isn't included on that particular sandwich and didn't charge me for it, which I appreciated. The sandwich itself was good, reasonably priced (around $8-9), and filling. I also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee, which delivered exactly the caffeine kick I was looking for. It wasn't overly sweet, had beautifully crushed ice, and came with a proper lid--not the plastic film seal you sometimes see at boba shops. Combined, the sandwich and coffee came to about $15, which felt like a great value. The interior is charming and thoughtfully designed. There's a small tuk-tuk display with retail items, traditional Vietnamese decor like bamboo hats on the walls, and even a seating area with low stools that gives a nod to the street-side dining style you'd find in Vietnam. I also loved the creative touch of repurposed Café Du Monde coffee cans holding napkins and chopsticks--simple, clever, and memorable. One small note for authenticity seekers: as someone who grew up with traditional Vietnamese cuisine, I've been searching for the classic old-school imperial rolls made with rice paper that fries up bubbly, crispy, and slightly chewy. The owner confirmed what I've been noticing--that many restaurants in the Charlotte area adapt recipes to American tastes, so that particular style is harder to find here. It wasn't a dealbreaker, just an interesting cultural observation. For my personal taste, the char siu wasn't quite as rich or fatty as the Chinese barbecue versions I'm used to, and the pâté had a slightly bitter note. Next time, I'll likely try the lemongrass pork banh mi and skip the pâté altogether. Insider tip: This is a great spot for a quick, affordable lunch with authentic flavors and fast service. The iced coffee alone is worth the visit. Overall, a cute, well-run neighborhood shop with solid value, friendly service, and a menu that does a few things well. I'll definitely be back to continue exploring the offerings.
