Cevapi: Mini Halal Beef logs grilled on a fire you can see when you pick up and smell and taste when you pickup. Served on house-made bread that's like Pita with lots of onions with a tomato based paste and ricotta cheese condiment. Delicious though you'll have onion-breath. Spinach Burek: Super delicious, texture is like a Vietnamese eggroll but filled with cheese and spinach, comes as a big rolled up sausage-like shape I've never seen before. This is a must order and was very good. Staff is A+, very nice crew working and handed my son a parmesan pack when he asked for cheese. Really small restaurant but the food was great! I especially loved both the cheese and spinach Bureks. I wish I got a photo but we were starving. The pizza looked really good too, but I stuffed myself with too much Burek to try. Fries are also good! They're crispy and have some batter which is always better! I had never had Bosnian food before coming in. Their specialty pizzas were a nice refreshing change to the blah pizzas that are served at other restaurants. I appreciated the Bosnian touch in the Bosnian burger - the patty was well-seasoned and tasted like something you wouldn't find elsewhere. My favorite item was the Burek - it was almost addictive to pull away at the tasty pastry swirl stuffed with meat. I also really enjoyed the wings. My all-time favorite wings are at Big Al's Pizzeria and I have never tasted any that come close. These wings were crisp, ooey, and flavorful that they joined Big Al's caliber for me. Everything American but the flavor. From outer appearance it looks like your classic American burger but underneath it all you'll taste the richness of Bosnia. The beef patty is very distinct, blended with spice & seasoning, has more of a chew texture. Inside the burger is a thick subtle soft cream cheese and peppers paste that brings it all together. I recommend ordering to go, because it was pretty packed when I arrived. At first, I was only planning on trying the bureks because sandwiches are so normal and boring, except for banh mi's. Luckily I thought otherwise and ordered 1 chicken parm sando, 1 spinach burek, and 1 potato burek. Holy moly, the sando was amazeballs. The bread was crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. I read on their website that they make daily fresh bread and that definitely translates well. I will go back just for that bread alone. The spinach and potato burek I can pass. It was heavy for us and it only tasted better with the cucumber yogurt sauce. The burek we felt wasn't really anything special with phyllo dough wrapping and cheese and spinach. I could've shared 1 burek with 2 or 3 people. I rolled in about 6:30 on a Wednesday. It was busy for takeout. I order a large ćevapčići dine-in and a meat burek to go. I was told the burek took 40 minutes, did I want to wait? nice to advise. My cevapis came out in about 25 minutes. The meat and the lepinja type bread were excellent, with onion and avjar and kamak on the side. I couldn't help eating soem of the burek when it came out, wonderful. The leftovers were warmed up noon next day by my family and they pronounced it fantastic. Would definitely go back. When I moved NY I worked a hotel that was ran mainly by Eastern European New Yorkers. I had Albanian, Montenegrin, Croatian, Bosnian, Polish, and Ukrainian colleagues (to name a few). Lunch time was always fun because I would be introduced to all sorts of amazing ethnic foods I'd never seen or heard of. And while I've never been able to visit any of these wonderful countries, through my coworkers I was able to taste a tiny bit of their culture. Now that I'm back home in California, I find myself constantly searching for the dishes that remind me of my "other" home. I was so delighted to find this place and see see "Bosnian Entrees" on the menu. Cevapi and Burek are not easy to come by in Orange County. If I could I would have ordered a bit of everything but being that I was alone I could only order the small Cevapi. Even then, I struggles to finish everything because it was very hearty. The meat was moist and juicy and flavorful. The bread was crispy outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I definitely will return to try their burek in the future. My first introduction to chevapi was when I traveled to Croatia, I enjoyed it so much I practically ate it every day while I was there. First, it's very easy to pass this spot - there's big bold PIZZA GRILL sign with 'Sofra Urbana' tucked in between. The food, service and experience here is world class. The sofra Urbana speciality pizza is like nothing you've ever experienced. The dough and pie itself is done right and the toppings - omg the toppings! You get the sweet mushrooms, the peppery arugula the salty Parmesan shavings and just when you thought it couldn't get better, the bresaola (thinly sliced smoked beef) decides to crash the party. It's that good. Curious about the rest of the menu, I asked them what Cevapi is. They told me it is one of the national meat dishes of Bosnia . Curious even more, I ordered one last time we ate there. There are basically only 3 components to this dish - raw diced onions, the cevapi itself and a warm fluffy crispy exterior flatbread as a wrapper. Everything about this dish works - imagine a fluffier gyro, milder in flavor but tender as a fluff of marshmallow. It is that good. And when you take a bite with all three components of the dish, you know they've won (whoever they are). Don't skip the onions - they round out the dish. I can't wait to try everything else (non pizza) on their menu and I wish eternal success on them or at least until I move out from Huntington Beach jk. I can confidently say that the Burek here is better than most of the Burek I have had in Sarajevo even. It is the perfect balance between chewy and flaky. Also it's not greasy which is ideal for me, although most Bosnians I know prefer greasier. Tried all four flavors of Burek, all excellent, I would say the meat was my favorite. As for the cevapi it was solid but what really made it stand out was how fresh the bread it was served with was. Took me by surprise since most places I have been don't serve it with such good bread. I love kebabs and I have had Turkish kebabs in Turkey, Greek kebabs in Athens n Santorini, Egyptian, Armenian and now for the 1st time Bosnian!! I never even thought about Bosnian food n have no idea there are Bosnians around here. Orange County is home to a lot of Muslim people, Anaheim is called Little Arabia. The OC Register had a review of this restaurant so I wanted to try it. I made a movie of how they made their cevapi, all hand made over huge fire, the whole room smelled such yummy bbq from the grilling. We ordered a mini pizza $8 and a cevapi, it came out to about $20. They have a promotion buy 3 times and you'll get a free cevapi , that's generous, I signed up. The sauces were delicious, the white one is sort of a garlic sauce w cheese, the red sauce is sort of a tomato mixture of eggplant and spices, I asked for a yogurt sauce they didn't have it like the Turks n Greeks do but their 2 sauces sure worked wonder. Why 4 stars and not 5? Well the sausages were made of ground beef n it was very coarsely grounded, most people probably have no problem but I just came back from a week in Cabo n all the jalapeño consumed gave me gum sores n chewing chunks of beef was hard, I had to spit out residues! Mr Kebab restaurant near by ground their beef finer so if you guys can do that I'll even uprate this to 6 stars ! Whoohoo! I'll be back, your lunch special sounds amazing $10.49 for a cevapi plus drink n salad. I feel blessed OC and LA has cuisine from the entire planet earth ! I was on my way home from my daughters in Los Angeles. I stopped to get something quick for dinner because I didn't want to cook. I was craving pizza. I was greeted right away, everyone was so welcoming. I asked if they had slices of pizza? They didn't but I was offered a personal size. Lots of choices. I chose Margherita & also a salad. She suggested a Mediterranean. I only waited 10 minutes. Ran to CVS next door to pick up some wine. By the time I got back my food was ready and delivered to me with a smile. Finally arrived home. Honestly it was the best pizza & the most "flavorful" salad I've honestly ever had! I will definitely eat there again & share my experience with everyone I know. We also tried the beef burek a phyllo pastry filled with beef, rolled then coiled and baked. The cevapi was savory, delicious and filling. I highly recommend this. The burek came fresh from the oven, hot and the phyllo pastry was crispy. The beef filling was not as tasty as the sausages but still good to try.
