My ig is @travelwithyachu to see all of my other reviews - Not sure why lately all I've been doing is visiting Latin Food establishments while in Central Florida but today I finally found on @yelporlando @yelp my number one favorite @sofritolatin . I paid $65.99 including my tip, for the two pina coladas and the two entrees, which is a tad pricier but definitely Effin worth it. (1 entree is absolutely enough to share). I typically always find a flaw, I wish the establishment could improve but this spot did not let down!. Whoever in the world is back there cooking received 10 stars from me and that pina colada was definitely on . The Flavor , the service, the details, the ambiance!!!!! It's on my faves list. My moms cooking got some competition and I don't say that lightly. read more

Visiting from out of town and were so pleased to find Sofrito! Followed some previous recommendations and got the pork (w plantains, red beans, fries, and salad) and the Media Noche sandwich. Excellent - all of it! Pork was tender, plantains were perfect, salad dressing was yummy. Find a bottle of their hot sauce laying around and use it - it is perfect - not too hot. So glad we found this gem! Yum! read more

Taste A+, Service A+, Price A, Vibe A (music turned off most of time I guess the staffs were busy not paying attention but no big issue). You pay first at the counter then they'll serve the food to your table. I wish they speed up the ordering process during the busy hours. Must try Churrasco steak and Latte. read more

Fast, friendly, and oh so delicious! The Sancocho was large enough to split with three children and have a serving left over. We ordered the picada for two- it was great the steak was well seasoned. The beef empanadas were tasty. We also ordered churros and Nutella empanadas. We were well satisfied when we left. Don't let the storefront appearance dissuade you. read more

So good! Just come here. You won't regret it. I loved the slow roasted pork. The saltido was good but a bit too much salt. I loved their margarita also and all their sides (rice, plantains). And they have a great Yelp check in. So happy I didn't dine at Disney while I was there and instead made the trip here. Plus it was conveniently across from my hotel. I am not obsessed with Carribean food thanks to Sofrito! read more

Wow... this place is the bomb! My husband and I were staying at a nearby hotel and kept passing by Sofrito. One morning we were trying to figure out what to eat for breakfast and realized they have a breakfast menu! We figured it's the perfect opportunity to try this place out and we were so right! We loved everything we ordered! Make sure you check in on Yelp and get your $5 off $30! We were able to try a few empanadas this way :) My husband and I shared the Venezuelan cheese empanada which was delicious!!! Seems like it's also a house favorite too. The outside was nice and crispy. We got the Cuban beef empanada which had a delicious flavor, and the tequenos (I think that's the name?) which are little cheese rolls covered in dough and served with a dipping sauce- but I'm pretty sure we got the wrong dipping sauce because it was supposed to be guava and the one we got was white and more savory- but still good). My favorite was the Cuban beef and my husbands favorite was the Venezuelan cheese We both also got Arepas which are like Venezuelan sandwiches. My husband got the beef and Gouda, I got the beef, bean and plantain one. We both liked mine better. I asked for a side of avocados and their hot sauce and they gave me 2- a Colombian one an a Peruvian one. Both were good! Each bite was to die for! We're so glad we chose to come here! I was on vacation with my girlfriend in Orlando and was looking for a place to eat. This place is really tasty and for a very reasonable price. We had the pork main and the churasco (sp? The skirt steak). Everything was delicious. The sides were really good. The plantains were tasty. Black beans and yellow rice were solid. Service was friendly. Tables were very clean. We stopped in for a quick lunch, and found this place to to be a keeper. The empanadas were amazing. We had the Cuban chicken and beef empanadas. OMG they were delicious. We also had mojitos which were excellent. The outdoor seating gave the appearance of being on a tropical island when in fact you at in the heart of Orlando. We will definitely be returning to Sofritos and this time, we will try the dinner. Stumbled upon this place for dinner and couldn't have been more pleased! First - the food is delicious and a unique and broad selection. We each had an arepa + shared three small dishes (croquettes, yucca, and pastelitos). Second - the service was top notch. It's counter style where you order, sit down, and the food is brought to you. But still felt like a full service restaurant; the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, particularly with the ordering process and recommendations. Lastly, the atmosphere was great. It was busy (even at 4:30pm when we arrived) but you still feel like you have plenty of space and aren't sitting on top of the table next to you. Soooo happy to have found this place. The only part I drag about Disney trips is that mostly bad fast food is involved. In a sea of tourist-trap-not-good-food restaurants this place saves the day!... and the stomach... and of course my soul with the authenticity of their Venezulan dishes... Cachapas, empanadas, arepas, tequeños all on point... so was the coffee. I finally have some food to look forward to on Orlando trips! read more

This place is fantastic. We actually used it as a meetup for a club that I'm part of. They don't take advance reservations, but they've got a lot of seating on the outdoor patio, and they have a pretty spacious interior as well. The coffee/café is incredible -- I would go for that alone! The menu is broad and represents several popular Latin dishes. I wasn't super hungry so I only tried the empanada. I feel like I cannot leave a fair review on the food because I tried so little of it, but the meals that others had looked excellent! It's a little tricky to get to if you're coming from the 535 area. You'll need to do a little u-turn and pull in. It shares a parking lot with a tourist souvenir shop. So whether you're in the mood for cafe or stronger bebidas, they've got you covered. I cannot wait to go back and try more of the menu! read more

Found this place on Yelp and decided to check this place with a local friend. The restaurant had a nice romantic vibe (though not on a date). We ordered our food at the front area then found a table. A simple detail that speaks a lot is that I asked for water, and it was presented in a chilled bottle (fancy). The customer service was really nice - smooth, natural, professional. Good, quiet vibe. The food was also exceptional - I ordered the skirt steak with chimmichurri sauce; it came with three sides :)! My friend had the chicken, and all were delicious. Sofrito ... The food was probably hands down the best Latin American cuisine I've had in a long time. It was so delicious. I was blown away that they have four types of empanadas (Argentinian, Colombian, Cuban, and Venezuelan). I didn't want to pig out so I only ordered two (Argentinian and Venezuelan). Both were so tasty, but I personally prefer the Argentinian empanada since it's baked (the Venezuelan empanada was delicious as well, but it's fried - I'm a little partial to not eat too much fried foods). The main meal I ordered was: churrasco (grilled skirt steak with chimichurri sauce), which comes with salad and 3 sides of your choice (I got white rice, Cuban black beans, and tostadas). The steak was very well seasoned and very tender (not chewy at all!!). Overall the food was so delicious!! Everything was tasty. Can't wait to come back:) read more

Surprised to see such high reviews. I had this place bookmarked for a while. I became skeptical as we pulled in. This is where all the tourists come to eat, of course. I don't trust tourists lol Anyways, here is the breakdown: Cuban empanada: 2.5 out of 5 stars. Lacking in flavor and meat was dry. Colombian empanada: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Better than the Cuban for sure. I would say it was pretty decent. Cachapa. 3 out of 5. Made the mistake of ordering with beef. We ended up scraping off the beef because it was ruining the dish. The beef itself wasn't good anyway and had an offsetting taste. The cheese was very chewy. Patacon. 2 out of 5. The garlic and cilantro sauce was a no go. I was not a fan. They used the SAME beef for this dish as the cachapa, *eye roll* needless to say, we didn't finish this dish. It didn't have a punch of flavor unfortunately. Mini tequenos. 2 out of 5. Ordered with the side of garlic and cilantro sauce. No no no. Not good. The sauce was weak, not garlicky at all. So we ordered the guava one too, and that was a disappointment as well. read more

This is right next door to the courtyard we were staying at. You order at the counter and they bring it to you inside or large patio dining table. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

You can tell that the crepe is really thin with rich layers of cream in between. It's an Asian bakery so the sweetness level is not as intense, and the bread dough is on the soft and pillowy side. Oh did I mention they also offer dimsum and a bunch of other things too. Yes, you can eat your breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea here. And probably still want more.

Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. I recently discovered a fantastic Cuban restaurant located close to Disney, thanks to a colleague who took me there. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and was blown away by how delicious it tasted. This place was incredible!! It took a while to get our food, but we it gave us a chance to take. Upon entered, you take a menu and order from the counter. The guy at the counter was very helpful. I thought I knew what I was ordering but he suggested I get it a different way. And it was amazing. Had the shrimp dish (I forgot the name) and it was very flavorful. There are many options for Latino food in Florida. Being a chef and one that cooks and eats this type of cuisine regularly, I can be critical at time. This was not bad at all. I enjoyed the outside cafe area, and the service was good. Prices were not bad for the area and the connivence of several hotels within walking distance. I'd try them again next time I'm in the vicinity. read more

I ordered Colombian empanadas only to find that it was all potato and no meat . This is the 3rd time I order empanadas from here and it's been the same so it's no mistake , they're cheap with the meat . Also NO ONE came to check on us and we couldn't ask for what we needed at our table . Horrible customer service . Too bad cause they started out well . I wont be visiting again read more

We came here on Saturday night around 8:30 pm/ was busy. Line was a bit long but moved quickly. Service was friendly and fast. We tried empanadas and were fresh and hot. My daughter's chicken was exceptionally dry but she said it was ok. Her fingerling potatoes had good flavor but we're off-putting because they were drenched in sauce and mushy. The mushroom risotto with scallops and pancetta was thick and creamy. The flavor was good, the scallops small, and the pancetta in small cubes. They should not have put the bland mushrooms across the top. The bone in pork chop was a little tough, and the bleu cheese flavor hits you over the head. Avoid if you don't like bleu cheese. The fingerling potatoes were perfect with this dish. The four of us were exceedingly uncomfortable every second we were in the restaurant because I would venture to guess the air conditioning was set to 60°. Two of us had jackets on with our hoods up in August. Our server explained that they keep it this cold because when it's hot outside, the humidity makes it damp inside. I argue that they could easily still turn it up a few degrees and the humidity wouldn't shoot up too much for comfort. When your check arrives, figure out the tip on your own instead of using their suggestion since they include taxes in their suggested tip. Tip should always be figured from the subtotal. Surprisingly, they did not even wish us a happy anniversary, and I made a note on the reservation. I read that Mythos will be closing within a year. If they are updating and not changing it completely, I hope they fix these issues because it really did have a great vibe. As it stands, I would not return, but hope you have a positive experience. Remember a sweater! :)
