Checked out this spot for fun first time and really liked the atmosphere. It's spacious, plenty of spots to get work done, plus WiFi and board games, which is a nice touch. I tried the açaí bowl, and the best part is the unlimited toppings. I'd recommend getting the regular size, the price difference is $2, but the portion is noticeably larger. The bowl was overall okay. I've heard good things about the matcha, so I'd probably try a drink next time. Service was good, but there was only one staff member working and the line picked up quickly. Plenty of street parking, which is always a plus.
Cute little local spot that opened in the summer of 2025. Glad I gave it a shot and tried it! Street parking was relatively easy and there's a decent amount of tables to sit and study. The decor is great and gives a warm cozy vibe. Owner here was friendly. The Madagascar vanilla latte was fantastic. Perfect warm temperature to sip right off the bat. Rich and creamy but not too sweet. I also appreciate how the vanilla flavor is homemade as well as the honey cake. The honeycake was a great combo to pair with the coffee and would love to try the cheese cake next time!
I've been meaning to try this cafe for the longest time! I actually tried stopping by one weekend, but the line was so long that I decided to skip it for a weekday. Finally, one Tuesday afternoon, I bombarded my colleague and asked her if she wanted to go on an adventure with me...she said yes! So, we embarked on a trip to Soft Cafe. When we arrived, there were still quite a few people inside, but the line was surprisingly short. We noticed they had a special Summer Menu featuring a tropical lemonade, mango matcha, spirulina latte, and coconut matcha. I should mention that everything was iced. My colleague ordered the mango matcha, while I went with the matcha topped with banana cream. We tried each other's drinks, and wow. The mango matcha was delicious. It tasted so fresh and authentic that I genuinely wondered if they pureed the mango themselves. The matcha flavor was strong, bold, and didn't get lost in the mango. As for my drink, the banana cream top was incredible. It tasted like someone blended a sweet ripe me. Even though the cafe was busy, the baristas were friendly, efficient, and kept things moving. They had board games, some small tables, and people either chatting with friends or working on their laptops. I'll definitely be back. I want to try their coffee!
I've been to Soft cafe a few times and I'm hooked. I tried their regular matcha latte at half sweet and it was perfect. The matcha is hand whisked to order and has a grassy earthy taste. The grinch matcha latte is on the sweeter side and very creamy. The toffee cloud latte is also a fave! It has the right balance of bittersweet. Their chocolate chip, coconut, and oatmeal cookie is also very tasty! The service has been consistent and friendly. I will absolutely come back for more!
Cute spot to work remotely from or go for some coffee with a friend. There are a couple of tables and a couch with board games. I have only ordered the Acai bowls from here which are pretty good. They give you a lot of variety of fruit for the large $17. Service is decent. There are a couple of other places around but parking is fairly available.
Amazing time at soft Café for the first time I go up and down the street all the time and never knew it was there. The ambience that they've created in addition to the quality of the açai bowls guaranteed that I'll be back the server was beyond helpful and kind. She took her time to explain how everything works so that we would get exactly what we wanted and they're ordering processed super super super simple
First timers here, super cute inside looks like a nice place to grab a bite or something with some friends. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Only thing is the coffee was not my favorite. It was pretty bitter and tasted watery. Maybe I'd give there other things a try but as for coffee, I would pass.
Soft is the perfect coffee shop. From the ambiance to the amazing drinks. I ordered a large, iced chai latte and added vanilla flavor. It was pretty tasty. They have a pretty nice size menu of coffees, tea, matcha's, and food items. There is also plenty of tables in the inside and a few seats outside. This would be the perfect place for a date or even if you are solo. I plan to come back to try a matcha. They have so many different flavored matcha's and I am intrigued. The staff was also nice when I came the first time, and I didn't wait very long for my drink.
A super cool coffee place. I actually found it on Yelp and the reviews were pretty accurate. I'll start out with what was a miss for me and then finish with why you should still check it out. I went there to meet a friend and talk and most of the tables are occupied by laptop campers. It's as quiet as a library in there. It's so quiet, whatever you say can be heard by everyone else. On top of that, it was super cold. Maybe they made it so cold so the laptop campers would pack it up sooner. It's a beautiful space and they add a lot to the business area. Street parking is plentiful right in front. A woman with awesome glasses took our order. We both had one of their craft lemonades. They were way too sweet, even sweeter than a soda pop. I wish there was a way to order the level of sweetness you want. The woman who served us was so kind we didn't have the heart to send them back. Still, they have all kinds of drinks, so you can surely find something you like. They also have sandwiches and artisan ice cream. They do a steady business, so the word it out! Give it a try!
I like this place. I visited here to wait out traffic (which proceeded to increase as I drove so I had no reason to wait :'0) but I'm glad I visited! I got a rose cream matcha which wasn't on the menu I just wanted to try rose cream but it was too late for coffee and they were very nice about it! (Can you tell I'm afraid of asking for things that aren't on the menu? I'm irrationally afraid people will boo and/or spit on me) matcha was $6 and 1.5 extra for the cream when I went. It was very yummy and the experience and drink was worth it even though it's a bit expensive to me (which is everything these days so it's pretty reasonable and seems like the standard now) still worth it compared to other places anyway. The barista was also probably one of the friendliest and most attentive I've ever witnessed?? When I was leaving he unprompted asked if I wanted him to refill my water cup. I was planning on just eating the ice from that empty cup in the car because I was dehydrated but didn't feel like asking for water a second time. This man single-handedly saved me from shriveling up out of dehydration so shoutout to him. Very impressive social and drink-making skills. The ambiance was also very nice and cute. I liked how at night they put on one of those LED changing lights it felt like I was studying in the clerb B) I also liked the music. There was free parking out front and good amount of seating. I'd come here again if i lived closer and didnt have to waste away in traffic to get to this area

This place will not last long. They over price for mediocre food and drinks there. I spent $41 on two croissants sandwiches and two drinks this isn't including the tip I gave them. These items we ordered are nothing to come back for, unfortunately it was my first and last time there. read more

Visited: August 31, 2025 - First time here This was my first time visiting this café in Hawthorne and I was looking forward to supporting a spot in my area . Unfortunately, my experience wasn't welcoming. * The coffee was pretty tasteless, even with added flavors. * There were no trash cans inside, which felt unusual for a café that serves pastries. When I asked, the older woman (who I believe may be the owner) responded with some attitude. * The pastries looked like they had been sitting out since the day before (or longer). There were crumbs everywhere and the cookies weren't neatly stacked . * The environment overall didn't feel welcoming. As a mixed-race person, it was uncomfortable noticing that the staff was all white in a diverse city like Hawthorne, and the way we were stared at felt uninviting. * I came in at 9:05am, just five minutes after opening, and things already felt unprepared. I really wanted to like this place since it's in my neighborhood, but overall it didn't feel like a warm, inclusive café experience. Hopefully with some improvements, it can be better for future customers . UPDATE: Thank you for your response. I'd like to clarify a few things: * Drinks: My friend and I ordered two different drinks, and both were completely tasteless. That's why I didn't ask for a remake--it wasn't a one-off mistake, it was a clear reflection of the quality we received. * Attitude & Customer Service: I mentioned attitude because it was present. As a new customer walking in right at opening, I was met with no smile, no warmth, and instead constant glances that did not feel welcoming. Dismissing my experience as "incorrect" doesn't erase the fact that it happened to me. * Pastries & Readiness: Regardless of the time I arrived, a café should be fully prepared to serve at opening. The pastries were messy and looked like they had been sitting out for a while. Being open at 9:00 means being ready at 9:00--there's no excuse for being unprepared or disorganized in front of your first customers. * On Race: I never made a racist comment. I mentioned that the staff were all white and staring, because that was my experience. You chose to twist that into a "racism" accusation and wrote paragraphs trying to defend yourself. To me, that response came across as unnecessarily aggressive and dismissive of what I actually said. If anything, it shows you were more concerned with proving something rather than listening to a customer's feedback. My review was based on what I experienced: poor-tasting drinks, unprepared presentation, and an unwelcoming environment. Instead of acknowledging any of that, you chose to attack my character. That alone tells me everything I need to know about how this café operates. read more

The matcha here is really good and the taste has a great blend of matcha and milk! They do have milk alternatives if you are in need of that. The lattes are amazing, we tried two signature drinks, the MADAGASCAR VANILLA LATTE and the AFFOGATO. The Madagascar vanilla latte was so smooth and creamy loved it. The affogato was with chocolate flavored ice cream and it was so rich and delicious. The baristas were so friendly and gave amazing latte recommendations. The cafe itself is such a vibe. This new mom and pop cafe in Hawthorne serves up some great artisan matcha, coffee, and other delicious options including ice cream. On this visit I had the overnight oats. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, they have some board games and great seating options. The lady with the white hair served me and she was so nice and pleasant. My wife and I are always looking for coffee shops to enjoy a cup of coffee. Luckily we found a new local spot here in the neighboring city of Hawthorne. They just opened a month ago so we're the first of what I'm hoping is many future visits. We both ordered the Madagascar vanilla latte. Mine was hot while my wife's was iced. I have to say I preferred my wife's iced version but I'm just a sucker for hot coffee. Both options are delicious. We also ordered a cinnamon roll and it definitely hit the spot. I recommend you get that warmed up. Service was fast, maybe waited about 5 minutes so be patient with them since they're a small operation. It's a calm environment with some music playing so nothing loud or annoying which is good, we can enjoy our coffee. It's safe to say that we found a local spot that we will be regulars at. Came to Soft because it was close to our hotel and wanted a quick pick me up. This place is clean and the staff is so friendly! We brought our two littles ages 3 and 1 and they had a little table for the kids to sit at and color while waiting for coffee. Gonna give 2 stars instead of 1 because it looks like they just opened. Do not come here (yet) if you are on a time crunch. There's only 1 person making drinks and a line. I will come back because the matcha looks really good I just need more free time to try lol it look like a 30 minute minimum wait for a drink. After 10 minutes in line and seeing her not take orders I was over it. Super cute in there tho! I have walked past this Cafe while walking to the gym . The smell of coffee and the beautiful , clean aesthetic drew me to stop by with my husband today . We ordered the RAF , one lightly sweetened with lavender and the other heavier on the sweet with vanilla, both were absolutely delicious. The barista was so courteous and knowledgeable, we asked for suggestions and the RAF that she suggested was spot on . She mentioned they have only been up and running for about 2 months , it's so important now more than ever to support our local businesses. First time visit , definitely won't be the last . read more
