SoHo Ramen was the perfect spot for us the other night. Looking for a place to eat that wasn't just your traditional chain restaurant we stumbled across this spot in a restaurant row type are with a bunch of big names around it. We walked in and we're seated right away. Our waitress was prompt and took our drink orders and started on the order for our daughter. My daughter had yakisoba noodles with teriyaki chicken. While waiting for her to return we perused the menu. It's quite extensive. Appetizers, multiple ramen dishes, rice dishes, salads, and about 3/4 pages of sushi! My wife ordered one of the ramens and I went with something that sounded so out of the box I had to try it..Kimchi Beef Fries. The ramen was good. Broth was full of flavor noodles cooked nicely, you could tell this was more than just a soup. I didn't have much of it as I was drawn into my fries. Crispy crunchy golden brown fries topped with kimchi, beef strips, a delicious creamy sauce, and a fried egg. I know this sounds like the ultimate post party meal, but I just couldn't pass it up for dinner and I'm glad I didn't. It hit every tastebud you can think of. We will 100% be back for more ramens and will be trying the sushi for sure next time. read more

Another good experience at Soho Ramen and Sake Bar. So far this is my favourite place for Japanese food in town. We came here on a few occasions and never got disappointed. Each time we arrive here, we try to order different dishes. The menu have a few good choices so finding something you may like shouldn't be an issue. I noticed that recently the sushi bar menu offers much bigger selection. I tried their sushi before and it was good. I will definitely order some sushi next time. During this visit we ordered side of fried baby octopus. This appetiser was well done and was served with spicy sauce that complemented fried octopus very well. For main I ordered spicy tonkatsu ramen. The broth was creamy and had nice consistency. The aburi prime pork belly slices were cooked perfectly and melt in my mouth. They had nice smoky flavours. The noodles was a bit too soft for me but still paired well with the entire dish. The second main was bento with bulgogi beef. The bulgogi beef was very tasty and seasoned perfectly. Shredded ginger added extra depth to it and left nice aftertaste on a palette. The prices for the food are fair and worth the dishes this restaurant serves. Give it a go! read more

Super happy this place has a great mix of meat and vegan options. I split the Sakana veggie roll and a vegan yakisoba, both were excellent. More than just standard veggies in the rolls, and a very good vegan croquette. I'm excited to come back and try the ramen and the vegan bao buns, I had a hard time picking just one thing for dinner. I used to come to this place all the time when i lived in Temecula. I came down to try it again when i had time after class. It was lunch hour and got Miso Ramen with a California roll on the side for their lunch special. The ramen is good, not the best. But good for Temecula Ramen. I didn't really care for the California roll if I'm being honest. The ramen broth is nice and rice and the pork belly was nice as well. The food was good but didn't give me that satisfied ramen feeling i always get after ramen if anything i just felt meh after. But for ramen I'm Temecula it's definitely the place to go to :) read more

Amazing service, big menu to choose from, and quality food/drinks! I usually come into this restaurant when I'm in town and craving ramen. this last time i went, we tried kimchi fried rice which was so good lol, all the flavors meshed so well. I had a spicy albacore hand roll, and spicy tonkotsu ramen sub chasu with brisket. Really great drink options. Took home a matcha IPA beer which i have yet to try lol. Service was great! The ramen served and sold here is on a higher scale per my taste buds, the broth that's in my spicy tonkotsu is very very good. I level it up with the ramens I get from San Diego. It's so flavorful, good amount of meat, noodle texture is very good, and the flavor of the egg is tastier than others. The same goes with the short rib ramen. It's delicious. What you get is how it should be. Best broth in town. The salmon Kama is also grilled to perfection, although I like it with a little burnt on the edges for that extra char flavor which I forgot to request. Now the takoyaki... this is very good, crunchy on the outside with lots of bonito flakes and a good flavorful small cuts of octopus inside. Couldn't stop eating and you get about 6 pieces per serving. The place is quiet and clean. The servers are quick and everyone is smiling, and always checking if everyone is okay with everything served. read more

A surprising gem in Temecula! As an avid eater of ramen, this was one of the best bowls of Tonkotsu Ramen that I've ever eaten! The soup was creamy but just light enough to be satisfying. Best part was the pork belly- AMAZING!! ‍ It just melted in your mouth from how tender it was. Reasonable price for ramen too. Only critiques would have to be the egg, which was more on the hard-boiled end than soft-boiled- a little inconsistent across our ramen bowls. Five stars! Read on. As a replant from the Bay Area, my husband and I constantly on the search to find amazing Asian cuisine in the Inland Empire. If you know Northern California restaurants, you'll agree with me that the task at hand is tall. But maybe not so fast. Last week, we tried a new restaurant in Temecula California called SoHo Ramen and Sake Bar on Margarita Road where we ordered enough food to do the place justice in a review. Here's the list of items that we ordered: Beef Kimchi Fries with a Sunny Side up Egg, Spicy Beef Ramen, Unagi Roll, Red Tuna roll, Snow White Roll, Dragon Roll, Salmon Nigiri, Inure and Genki Veggie Roll (no fish). Full transparency, I do not eat fish, and I am the one writing the review. My husband is Asian and I relied on him to talk about the rolls. For my non-fish-eating readers, SoHo Ramen and Sake Bar has a true veggie roll on menu. Yes!!!! And this is not just some cucumber wannabes roll but rather one that holds up to all the other great fish rolls on the menu. And! It tastes amazing! The Food: Here we go! The Beef Kimchi Fries are something to write home about. The fries were crispy and the beef with egg tastes great! Note to self. This item could stand on it's on as a meal. The ramen! The broth of the ramen tastes authentic, like the cook took time building the flavors and the noodles were cooked well. The only suggestion that I have is to bring the ramen to the table piping hot. This broth came to the table warm, but I need it super-hot, almost to the point where you have to wait to eat it. But this note doesn't take away from the full experience. Again, my husband reviewed the fish rolls and the best that I can say is that he loved everything. I could see it on his face. The Service: The entire team was friendly, helpful and attentive. I waited to the end of the meal to reveal that I was writing a review so that the service was authentic. Takeout: Grubhub and Doordash delivery are available for this place. So, toward the middle of the meal, I ordered a takeout Chicken Katsu Bento Box to review the packaging. The best way to describe our satisfaction is to say that we've ordered delivery six times since our first experience. Yes!!! I know. It was that good. Packaged to perfection. Even the ramen dish. I would say the food had decent taste and was fresh. However The roll that I ordered said it had shrimp tempura in it yet it was all batter and literally no shrimp- that was pretty gross. I had to pick the burnt pieces of batter out of my roll. The service was pretty fast. Overall not a bad experience. Some little tweaks would be good. read more

Not pictured was their green tea sesame ball dessert. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I am obsessed with sesame balls- slightly crunchy because of the sesame seeds and a slight sweetness from the inside filling, and they fry theirs fresh here. We were a bit bummed they didn't have any salmon belly sashimi but the fish was fresh and a nice starter to the ramen. We started to hit the hot sake game and the bulgogi kimchi fries were the perfect accoutrements to drinking. Koreans love their kimchi. YUM! The ramen was tonkatsu is hard to go wrong with and the pork was probably some of the best I've had in awhile and the eggs, in my opinion, are always the best part. read more

Was in need of a liquid hug on a hectic day! Surprisingly I wasn't craving the spicy ramen I usually do. I noticed that SOHO had a vegan miso ramen and was intrigued! It was so delicious such a perfect balance of subtle flavors. Added an egg to my vegan ramen which made it not so vegan but definitely more delicious! They cook their eggs perfectly here! They also put three fried potato croquettes in there too! I'm not sure if you usually get that but man I'm definitely ordering that next time I'm in the area. I ordered take out. It was efficient and although my food had to be reheated it still tasted fresh! I really enjoyed their to-go containers! Nothing spilled and the noodles didn't get soggy. I had to give this establishment a 3 because my meal wasn't as advertised on the menu. I was starving and really craving some ramen when I bumped into this place. A nice guy out front told me that it was absolutely amazing and I wouldn't be disappointed. So I couldn't wait to gobble down some ramen to satisfy my cravings. I ordered the spicy beef. The beef was tender and had decent flavor but not much flavor. The brother had flavor but there was definitely something missing. Or more like a couple of things missing. One of those things were the spice. If you advertise something as being spicy it should have some sort of spice. The spice level of this dish was equal to A boiled chicken breast without any seasoning. Not hyperbole. This place has major potential. I hope they see my review and let me know when to come back and order a spread to taste everything else. For now it's not quite top tier on my list. Amazing food. I've tried a few different ramen flavors and they're all great- I usually get the Spicy Miso Ramen. It's convenient to get to from the mall or the surrounding businesses, lots of parking, and their outdoor seating area is cute. It's pretty low key even on busy nights but the street noise can be a little much if you're trying to have a conversation (one of the main streets thru Temecula runs directly behind the restaurant, which isn't their fault). So if you dislike the street noise try to sit inside. The service is great, they're attentive and friendly and the food comes out pretty quickly once you order. read more

First off, I really liked the cozy relaxing environment in this place. I feel like if they had outdoor seating with tents and lights it would feel even more like a drink, eat, and socialize with friends type of place. As for the food, we got a tonkatsu bowl, gyudon, spicy tonkotsu ramen, and a cucumber roll. The rice bowls were pretty average and the cucumber roll was refreshing but a bit bland. The spicy tonkotsu ramen was the best dish there, I really enjoyed the broth and the perfectly cooked noodles. It was the perfect amount of fattiness and spice. We went on a Monday night and it took us 30 min to get our food, so keep that in mind for weekends. read more

I can't remember the last time I had ramen in Temecula before coming here. My brother informed me that Soho is probably the only legitimate ramen joint in town besides another restaurant we'd eaten at years ago and never returned to. So we gave this place a try. It's located in a quieter mall around the Promenade loop. Parking is no issue, but cell signal is spotty here so I couldn't pull up the Yelp check-in offer during our dine. It took a couple minutes to get seated as the front of house staff were all busy (it was lunch after all). There are tables both inside and out on the heated, covered patio, and a bar area. The menu features an array of appetizers, ramen, yakisoba, curry and seafood dishes, and vegan options. We ordered Vegan Croquettes and Spicy Tuna Wasabi Fries to start and Katsu Chicken Curry Udon, Miso Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and Beef Bulgogi Yakisoba. A few minutes later our server informed us that the croquettes weren't available and asked if we wanted something else instead. I asked about the Vegan Bao but it turns out that it also includes the croquettes. We settled for just the Tuna Wasabi Fries which were probably the best plate in terms of presentation and flavor out of everything ordered. The Yakisoba soon followed, but then there was a large gap in between the time that plate came and the remaining plates came. Our server even acknowledged that the kitchen was being slow. We all wanted to start eating everything together, but by the time the ramen and curry arrived, the soba noodles were cold. Despite this lull in service, servers were otherwise friendly and attentive. Our food was good (particularly the appetizer) and I may return to give them another try. For now, 3.5. read more

This shop has been here since 2019, I think. The sushi bar is less than a year old. The sushi chef was very friendly and helpful. We ordered Tonkotsu Ramen and Curry Udon. Tonkotsu is made from pork bone marrow and is wonderful. This restaurant added garlic. It was quite nice. The curry was a bit watery but not bad. My husband gave it a 3 out of 5. He IS Japanese so should be an expert. The food prices weren't bad. However, the green tea, I ordered, cost $7 for two tea bags and some hot water. A bit high for tea bags. We may go again some time. We've been wanting to come here since they first opened. They're located on the periphery of the mall on Margarita. We walked in and it seemed stuffy so we sat on the patio.....dog friendly. The tonkatsu ramen was good and the broth was delicious. We got a couple sides as well. Went with the karagie chicken and tempura shrimp. I have to say the fried coating was very hard on each side. Most likely frozen and dropped in a fryer. If I came here again it would only be for the ramen. Lots of parking where they're located. read more

I've been craving ramen for some time now, especially with the weather cooling down, and was really wanting to go down to San Diego to grab some. I looked around online and found this location. Due to the menu, pictures, reviews, and the fact they had gluten free options- I knew I had to check it out. First impression when walking in, you just know it's going to be good. The restaurant was filled with a few indoor and outdoor options, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. We tried a sake flight and I got the spicy tonkotsu with gluten free noodles- super delicious. The flavor of the spicy paste was sooo good, and I love that this ramen came with a whole egg and crispy garlic chips. This is my first impression. The front staff is very hardworking and kind. However, the kitchen dropped the ball on the one food item I ordered. I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen with keto noodles. The noodles and veggies were the only thing worth eating. The egg had a cold yolk. The broth was almost room temperature. And the pork belly looked like it had a burnt edge but the rest was flaccid and slimy. The attached photo is moments after the bowl was set in front of me. Not very appetizing. Maybe this place is really just for drinks and sushi with buddies? I do not know. I may never know. This ramen really was not worth the $16 I paid, and the canned sprite with a cup of ice I was given was also overpriced at almost $4. read more

Stopped by for an early lunch with the family. The location is a little hard to find, being on the periphery of the Temecula mall and with a small sign that's hard to see due to overhangs from nearby businesses. I was hesitant to try it given how badly the Food Lab location is rated, but was charging in the parking structure 5mins away so figured, why not. We were a few minutes early but the owner (I think, from photos of Dwayne Ciang at Soho Ramen in the Riverside Food Lab) was kind enough to seat us while doing final prep and took our order. The interior is sparely decorated except for the elegant bar. The menu was a reasonable size...larger than I want for a ramen place but with more variety for the non-ramen-aficionados. We ordered takoyaki and chicken karaage appetiziers, and tonkotsu ramen and bulgogi beef bowl for mains. Food came fairly quickly and presentation was decent. The takoyaki was good, with a crispy shell and gooey interior. The karaage was mediocre, with a mix of too small pieces that were over fried and bigger pieces that were undercooked to the point of having uncooked batter inside. (I later told the owner about this just for feedback and turned down his kind offer to comp us the dish, so hopefully this will improve.) The tonkotsu ramen was a fairly small portion, especially for the price (well, Temecula adjusted). The broth was reasonably thick but, unfortunately, I didn't notice the black garlic oil automatically came with it, which I dislike because it covers the taste of the broth and makes it hard to tell if it's actually any good or not. The noodles were the wavy kind, not the straight kind usually suited for tonkotsu, but the texture was decent with a tiny bit of chew. The 'aburi prime' pork belly was quite tasty and well-sized slices and definitely the highlight. The soft-boiled egg was a whole one and done nicely. The bulgogi bowl wasn't a bowl at all. Instead, it was some veggie heavy bulgogi and a mound of rice with a fried egg on top. The egg was good but the bulgogi was quite mediocre and we didn't end up finishing it.
