High energy and vibrant night life like Korean spot. Was a bit of a wait during peak dinner time but not too bad. Wait was about 30 min without a resy. Place is loud but not where you can't make convo inside. Ordered the kimchi stew and bulgogi and it was just the right amount of food for two people. The portion sizes are pretty good. Soup was pretty flavorful, but the bulgogi was just okay. Wish it had a bit more spice to it. Overall the atmosphere is def a fun place for a night out of drinking or celebrating.

Coming here for an early dinner on a weekend was a good choice, as my friend and I were able to get a table within 10 minutes without a reservation. While we started our dinner being able to have a conversation, we could eventually hear many peoples' conversations around us, but the noise level was not too bad. For two people, we ordered their Seafood Pancake and Sizzling Bulgogi. Both portion sizes were generous! The Sizzling Bulgogi did come out hot, and there was a good amount of meat for the dish. The Seafood Pancake was easy to share between the two of us as pieces were easily broken off, but I wish that it was a bit crunchier. We also were given rice dishes with egg and small anchovies since we came early enough. For the quality and amount of food, it's worth the experience and price!

There aren't words to describe how insanely good the food, service, and ambience of this place was. First of all, the restaurant is located on the second floor of a cute, swanky apartment. You take the elevator up and get transported into a darkly lit, romantic restaurant with limited seats. The wait in the line was worth it. The menu is full of Korean classics, and EVERY single thing we got was absolutely perfect. Visiting from Annandale, VA (where there is REALLY good Korean food), my mind was blown. The korean stew with Pork Belly is a MUST! Everything we had, honestly, is a must. You cannot go wrong here. Keep the drinks flowing and the food coming. I'm dying to go back already

The interior is like a modernized Korean pocha, with round metal tables and plastic chairs. The wait to get seated was very long. The servers underestimated our wait time by nearly half. We got the kimchi fried rice and spicy soondae. A little pricey but very good. I'd love to come back to try more food and drinks when they're not as busy.

Came here for late bites on a Saturday night. There was a small line when I arrived with a group of 7, but we got seated within 15 minutes surprisingly. The food options are a little more unique than most K-Town pocha menus, but I wouldn't rush to recommend for Korean food in NYC. My favorite is the Sweet and Spicy Fried Shrimp. The Stir Fried Udon is tasty, but if I could improve it, I would add more udon noodles. I would come back for the ambiance for sure. Attentive workers as well.

I came here again recently and was able to try their seafood pancake, bossam, potato pancake, and soondubu, and I just wanted to say that their food continues to be delicious! Loved their seafood pancake as it was full of seafood as well as their bossam, which came out with lots of veggies to enjoy it with. We also came on a Saturday night, where there were multiple birthdays and it was so fun as the whole restaurant would sing HBD and the lights would dim!

Food: The food here was average. We ordered the seafood pancake, which was packed with seafood peppers, scallions, and onion. Although it was filled with a lot of seafood and vegetables, it fell apart very easily for this reason and didn't seem like a pancake. I think there are other Korean restaurants that make this dish better. We also ordered the clam soup with flat noodles. The clams were big and fresh. The texture of the noodles were chewy and added a nice touch to the dish. The broth was just okay and wasn't as tasty as we expected. Service: Service was excellent. Staff were very attentive and explained what everything was as it was served. Ambiance: There are large tables and small tables. They keep the restaurant pretty dark and there is very loud music playing. It's a very nice place if you don't mind the loud music. Overall, I would not recommend this place, but it might just be personal preference because I know others who like this restaurant!

It's always a good time at soju haus especially late at night when you want to drink more and have some food. Love getting the clam soup, the fried chicken, seafood pancake and ddukbokki there. Can't really go wrong with the food there and plenty of drinks to choose from.

Soju Haus is always a must-visit when I'm in NY for school breaks. While most people come for the drinks (I mean, it is the House of Soju haha), the real reason I keep coming back is for the food. Their gopchang jeongol and sundae bokkeum are my absolute favorites--flavorful, satisfying, and just perfect. If you get there before 8pm, they'll treat you to either seaweed rice or rice with anchovies and a fried egg for FREE! And the acorn salad they serve as a side? Honestly, I wish it was a menu item because I'm always asking for more (it's that good). Oh, and a little quirky detail: they used to serve corn water instead of plain water, and I really miss it. I might be a little weird, but that corn water was honestly one of the highlights of my meal. Always a great time at Soju Haus!

Braised Pork Ribs with Sun-dried Radish Leaves
    Jenny C.

Great place to eat and drink with friends. The food was delicious and the atmosphere says classy but still casual and fun. The portion sizes were big so definitely share with your buddies. The braised pork ribs with dried radish leaves was tender and fall off the bone. The sauce was so good that my friend sopped it all up with 5 bowls of their rice balls with seasoned seaweed. The pork trotter was braised perfectly to the point where the meat was soft but was still able to hold onto its structural integrity. The radish kimchi fried rice with brisket is a must order. And the seasonal oyster egg omelet was so good that I also made my own version at home. The oyster was sweet and tender and cooked and perfectly wrapped in a little egg blanket. The servers were attentive and knows the menu like the back of their hand. I highly highly recommend this place. I'm actually adding this to my list of possible birthday dinner locations

    Spicy Grilled Chicken Gizzard

This was on my list of places to try after a concert since they were open late night. - Spicy Chicken Gizzard -- was our favorite! we even got another round! - Clear Clam Soup -- clams were huge and fresh! the server even removed the clam from the shells for us! - Complimentary Mung Bean Jelly Salad - Peach Soonhari Soju They gave us a heads up that they only take cash or Amex before we were seated. It gives a classy but chill vibe! The service was amazing and the staff were friendly and attentive.

An absolute gem in Ktown! Everything I've had here were solid! We started off with the seafood pancake, its crispy and one of the better seafood pancakes I've had They have $1 ours haters on Thursdays but they were all gone by the time I got there. The mild seafood soup and pork belly and kimchi is good too!

Are there any gluten free options? Asking for a friend

Can I hit my juul here?

No, you need to smoke outside

    Any Keto options here?

Of course! It's a keto diet dream! It's AYCE bbq, just order unmarinated meat (marinades have sugar). The sides are generally low carb but might have some sugar so ask.

Is pork feet only available on certain days?

The marinated Pig feet/trotter is served all year round, however this is a specials version of it which is served on 2 days since I last visited.

Is this a place to dance at night?

No. It’s more of a sit down restaurant with good food and drinks. If you take the elevator up to the third floor there’s a DJ and dancing there.

What's the age restriction? If there is one? 21 and over?

There is a bar upstairs. But I think you only have to be 21 to drink. If you just wanted to have dinner, I think you can eat at a table like you’d regularly do.

Where is this located? I walked all over the block and couldn't find this place? Does it actually say soju Haus on the building/front?

On the corner of 5th Ave and E 32nd (entrance on 5th Ave) ... once you enter the building you have to take the elevator upstairs to the 2nd floor.

Here's what we ordered: ~ Tako Wasabi - 5/5 stars A fiery delight. This appetizer feartures chopped raw octopus marinated in wasabi. It has a lively zest from the wasabi and is topped with tobiko, which adds a pleasant contrast in texture. ~ Honey Makgeolli - 4/5 stars A traditional fermented Korean beverage that is light and pairs brilliantly with your meal. It is a cloudy alcholoic drink served in a metal teapot, and surprisingly, there is much more in that teapot than you would expect. It easily provides six to eight generous pours. The flavor is subtly sweet with a pleasant tang. ~ Temaki Set - 4/5 stars You can order a set of three by choosing from selections 1-17, or you can order a la carte at the listed prices. Some of the temaki stood out more than others. Our two sets included marinated salmon, bluefin tuna, spicy yellowtail, spicy bluefin, and two dynamite temaki. ~ Spicky Pork Ssam Set - 5/5 stars Truly another standout entree that even surpassed my beloved grilled BBQ bossam. You received a generous basket of assorte greens, including romaine, kale, perilla leaves, dandelion leaves, nappa cabbage, and more. It is well worth the price and makes for a fun, interactive dining experience with your family and friends. The banchan was excellent, especially the kimchi. It was very fresh and was one of the highlights of the meal. What I liked most about the food overall was how clean everything tasted. Nothing felt greasy, heavy or too salty. The flavors were balanced and very comforting. We ordered the pork bossam, kimchi pancake, and chicken kalguksu. The pork was tender and had a clean flavor that really let the quality of the meat come out. The kimchi pancake was topped with a poached egg which was interesting.... Personally, the poached egg addition wasn't really for me, but my friend loved it. The pancake itself was crispy flavorful. The chicken kalguksu was exactly what I want when I'm craving comforting and warm food at 11 PM after watching a musical. The broth was light but flavorful, and the noodles had a good chew. It felt homemade!! The ambience was very very cozy and nice. The interior is warm and cozy and intimate, it's great for a night with friends, or even a date night!! I love any spot with soft lighting. Even late at night, the restaurant felt relaxed and inviting. Service was also great. The food came out quickly, and every staff member that came to our table was very friendly.

I ordered the soju flight but I ended up not liking it so my cousins shared it. The meal comes with different veggies as well as your choice of soup. We got the spicy tofu and split it 6 ways. The spice lived up to its name, so I didn't eat very much. The best part was meat. Despite there being 6 of us, there was plenty to go around. I think you have the option to cook it yourself or have them cook it for you and we chose the latter. While I enjoyed it, I wish there was more space. Most of the space was taken up by the accompaniments that come with it (veggies, etc), so there was hardly any room to put anything else. It didn't help that none of our dishes were cleared once we finished them and that no rice is included. Aside from that, both the food and service were great.

I walked into a space that was well designed, the kind of room that felt intentional from the lighting down to the table setup, and the ventilation was genuinely excellent. I did not leave smelling like smoke, which is not something I can say about most places in this category. The format here is tableside cooking handled entirely by a dedicated chef, which changed the experience considerably. The meats came out properly and in the right sequence, and having someone manage the grill meant nothing got overcooked or neglected while I was distracted by conversation. The Nubiani Package is the standard way to go and covered a solid range of cuts. Meat quality was high across the board, well marbled and fresh, the kind of thing that reminded me why I was paying what I was paying. The banchan selection was generous and well prepared, and the egg soufflé that came as part of the meal was a high quality dish. Service throughout was attentive in a way that never felt intrusive. Banchan got replenished without me having to ask, the pacing moved at a comfortable rate, and the staff seemed genuinely familiar with the menu and how the meal was supposed to flow. There is a time limit on the reservation, which is standard for the format, so it is worth knowing going in. Reservations through Resy are essentially required, and they will not seat your party until everyone has arrived, so plan for that.
