Update 1/30/25 Do not fall for Jeremy's promise of new management. We have reached out after all of these promises of new management and still have not heard back. Since our original review we have emailed almost every 2 weeks to be met with either no response or a message that said they will not be work with us any longer. We received a formal civil suit from the solar panel supplier demanding we pay for panels that we already paid solar 360 for. We have tried to work with that company and they too are now nonresponsive. It has been 5 months. Our battery is still broken and our system is still not operational. We have filed a complaint with the state attorney general and the state license bureau and have placed credit card disputes with the credit card company. We expect to be in arbitration soon as it seems to be our only course of action at this point. read more

I am extremely disappointed with Solar 360's handling of my solar installation. I started the project on May 24, 2024, paid 80% of the total cost, and was told it would be completed in 3 months. As of today December 3, 2024, the project remains unfinished. No one responds to our emails or phone calls anymore. I will be filing a complaint with BBB if our project remains incomplete and we do not hear back from the project manager and/or team. Key issues: 1. **Delays & Poor Communication**: The installation started on July 16, 2024, but delays continued, especially with the EV charger, which was only installed on August 23, 2024. After a final inspection on October 3, 2024, I was given no updates, despite my follow-ups. On October 15, I learned that we failed the inspection due to an incomplete roof layout. Revised plans were supposed to be submitted, but as of November 19, no progress had been made. The city and fire department confirmed Solar 360 hadn't contacted them since early October. 2. **Misleading Information**: I was assured no lien would be placed on my property, but despite receiving documentation saying the lien was removed, my bank discovered it was still active. This was only resolved when the bank intervened. This project, promised to take 3 months, is now over six months in and still incomplete. There are times when it's a pleasure to write a review, this is one. No hard sell and Charlie, the sales pro, was helpful and not a hard sell guy. In fact, he was kind enough to reach out only after I asked. Other companies would call and call, until I finally blocked the number. One called me 7 times in one day! Once I agreed that what they proposed and what I wanted were in sync, I got a wonderful Project Manager, Jessica Shropshall. She kept me up on everything. Even after all was said and done, she remained helpful. If there was a hiccup, she would tell me and was always quick to answer my questions. If you get her on your team, you are in excellent hands. The install was fast and the lead tech, James, blew my mind with his nice ways. He took his time and did a great job. He was informative and friendly. Now, when they installed the new electrical panel, my doorbell got disconnected. Ouch. They tried to get it back running, but in an 80 year old house the wiring doesn't always lead to what you might think. So, we agreed that I'd just buy a wireless doorbell. Done. Every company will make a mistake. How they care for the situation it's what matters. Jessica took care of it all and soon a reimbursement check was in my hand. Goodness, even the Controller is amazing. I've had a service call, nothing big. Rick will be out next week and over the phone he made it clear that Solar 360 wants to do it right and make sure everything it's working efficiently and as intended. Amazing. My experience with Solar 360 started off well. Their Sales Consultant was great. She was able to explain our proposal over the phone as well as in person with my parents. She answered my questions and a deposit was set. Once we were assigned to a Project Manager, that is when our communication started breaking down. Going through the entire process of replacing the underlayment (with another company), mounting the solar, installing the back up battery, as well obtaining Permission To Operate (PTO), was truly a headache. With the business closing in March 2025, we were already having communication issues starting in December 2024. The VP tried to assist in our project while covering for the Project Manager but, there was no true accountability. Cross training, team work, and synergy were factors in the company failing. Coming to understand how much fraud, waste, and abuse that the owner was committing was upsetting. Unfortunately, a lot of this information was discovered after the fact. However, I am thankful for those that did assist in getting our household connected with Edison as well as lining up another company to purchase our Tesla Meter Collar again. Be careful if you come across anyone in the industry by the names of Kadyn, Service Manager, as well as Jessica Shropshall. These folks take no pride in their work, waste people's time, and are dishonest in what they do. Above all of them, is the owner named Frank. Not staying righteous and finishing jobs for at least 10 different jobs when he decided to close the business. IF YOU WANT TO LOSE YOUR HOUSE TO A MECHANICAL LIEN FROM A SOLAR PANEL MANUFACTURER OR YOU ARE OK WITH LOSING YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS TO POOR WORKMANSHIP, THEN GO AHEAD AND DO BUSINESS WITH THEM. I almost lost my family due to their negligence. Roof tiles fell after installing the panels and almost injured a family member. I tried to text and email them but their complacency was on a whole different level and their excuse was "we're busy". I reached out to the sales rep that sold me the solar system and he confessed that he is not happy with their business practices. The owner had been ripping people off and taking their money, and installing panels on their roofs that were not paid off to the manufacturer so the manufacturer who couldn't get any money from Solar-360 put a mechanical lien on the homes. When the owner was confronted with this, he said several times that he will go bankrupt (another lie) so that the victims won't go after him. He even didn't pay his employees and they filed complaints with the department of labor against him. The owner Frank is a horrible person, he doesn't care about anything once he gets your money. He will put your family's safety in Jeopardy with his poor crew workmanship and expose your house to a lien with his sketchy business practices and all the money he owes to the manufacturer. Even his business partner walked away from the business after all the sketchy business he did and all the people he ripped off. The company has treated other homeowners that I referred horribly and it was a super embarrassing situation for me. Sales process with Charlie was great. Contract was signed in March of 2023. As of February 2024, solar 360 still is (was) unable to get their act together to get a $50,000 job done and I eventually had to fire them (they still have not refunded my $1000 deposit as of this writing). The biggest issue is their lies and lack of communication. Without diving into the play by play, I had 3 different project managers because the first one quit, second one was fired due to lack of communication, and third one had an issue with telling the truth. Continual missed deadlines, claims that plans were submitted when they weren't, claims that they were waiting on the city but after asking the city I found out that solar 360 had been sitting on revisions for 45 days without resubmitting. See photos for small sample of some of the many lies and absolute dysfunction. Aug 21 - plans are submitted and moving along. Sept 5 - your people were fired. Sept 8 - your previous person lied and the plans were never submitted. I asked upper management to call me multiple times, when I FINALLY heard from Rene, he promised to get me updated within 48hrs. I called him a week later and he told me "sorry, I totally forgot about you because I went skiing in big bear and caught a cold." Our electricity bill was getting ridiculously high in last summer. We figured it was not too late to get solar despite we missed the NEM 2.0 deadline from SCE. We were referred and recommended by our family member who had Solar-360 installed their solar system before. We contacted Charlie Kim who gave us a detailed quotation. We also obtained two other quotes from companies that were referred by our neighbors but we eventually picked Solar-360 due to their competitive price and Charlie's professionalism. He never hard sells and upsells to his clients. He listens and understands exactly what we need and built the spec from there. Other people just kept bombarding us with calls and emails. Charlie was able to address all our concerns and warranty questions before we went ahead and signed a contract. It took a while for the city and HOA to approve the installation. Installation went well - Solar-360 completed it in 2 days. They even repaired/replaced few roof tiles for us as a courtesy service. Final city inspection approval and SCE permission to operate also went smoothly afterwards. The system is working very well and it exceeds my expectation. Charlie even assisted us to apply for the SGIP rebate based on our backup battery purchase; that's an A+ service! Update 11/21/24 Apparently writing a Yelp review generates a response. Solar 360 contacted me and offered an amended contract in order to activate our system now without the second battery. I was informed that the second battery will probably not become available until Q2 or Q3 2025. I question why I was sold two batteries when there is such a significant shortage, but am satisfied with Solar 360's attempts to rectify the situation. I don't know what happened to this company. We used them many years ago and were so happy. We even referred fiends to them. However, in the last month we have tried REPEATEDLY to get in touch with them about a needed repair. They have not responded to the online/email request that they make you use (we submitted the email on January 27. It is today February 26). You can not call the service department. In addition to the TWO email requests for service we have emailed them several more times and left phone message for the sales department (the only department that you can reach by phone). Do not even consider using Solar 360. I used this company because it was vetted and recommended by OC goes Solar and the city of Irvine. I thought that with those recommendations this would be a good company. Wrong! My sales person, Charlie was great and always answered my texts and calls. Unfortunately, once I gave my $1000 deposit, the communications with my project manager was not answered. After the initial installation of panels and a 90% payment, the communication was not at all. Finally they called and installed my battery in the end of December, but now they won't get back to me about my inspection. Unfortunately, they have my money and they will not respond to my calls. Jeremy was initially very responsive until I signed and approved their quote, then he disappeared and I've been unable to reach anyone at the company. They initially promised to prioritize my roof install, so I chose the tiles, gave them a go-ahead, and asked for confirmation of a start date. That's when they went silent. While I was happy with the installation because it all appeared to work my roof started leaking underneath 2 of the solar panels about 2.5 years in. My insurance sent a roofer to examine the roof leak to find its origin and the examiner blamed 2 spots underneath the solar panels. I then paid for 3 other roofers to go up and investigate and they all concluded the same thing - the solar panel installation. One actually found that a clip wasn't even holding down one of the panels! When I contacted Solar 360 their Vice President, Rene Paez, immediately was defensive and sent pictures of the installation when the workers were installing. He actually said that debris from the sky could have caused cracks on the tiles that were UNDERNEATH the solar panels!! The pictures were completely useless as you can't see close up on the tiles or underneath, you can't see anywhere near the railings where screwed onto the roof and it doesn't show the roof as it looked when the job was FULLY completed which was months after the date on the pictures. He also explained that their "process to see if your roof is covered under the warranty is to take a $500 credit card deposit for our roofer to come out (feel free to have your roofer present)". One, I've already dealt with RENE in the past. He and Solar 360 cheated me out of a warranty that came with an A/C Unit they also sold me. i paid Solar 360 $44,870 for both the solar panels and the HVAC installations- I didn't pay another company. Yet when my AC unit failed a little over a year later Rene says that the AC department was no longer part of Solar 360. He said the warranty was null and void because the "Air360" division was no longer operating. I could care less which of their departments are no longer operating, I paid Solar 360. When I threatened action he offered a few hundred dollars over zelle!!! So I already know how RENE operates, he's crooked. Had I known Solar 360 would operate like this i would have NEVER engaged in ANY business with them. Two, the contracts I signed said nothing of having to pay a $500 deposit in order for Solar 360 to come out. They can see already see a microinverter isn't reporting on my roof and that is reason enough for them to come out yet even with reported leaks and an email document from a roofer indicating Solar 360 is at fault they refuse to come out? I would pay the $500 if I TRUSTED this company but I don't trust them and I know they will just make up any excuse and, ultimately, keep my $500 deposit. Also, just to ensure that he add more pressure to pay the $500 he threatened that any "attempt to remove the solar panels" to investigate would void my warranty on the entire solar system! The contract also doesn't state this - it simply states that a qualified person needs to the work, not Solar 360. I dealt with Rene when I first requested a quote and he's a rat; trying to get you to do what he wants all the time. Back then Solar 360 apologized for his behavior and assigned someone else to finish the quote. Everything was great until I had the issue with the AC unit and then now trying to get Solar 360 to honor what their contract says - not what Rene is making up on the fly. In any case, as soon as I have free time I will be filing a lawsuit against Solar 360 for not honoring their contract which I have here and have read over it. My previous fix was to the inverter as stated by the technician. The new one was installed in December 2023. I've been having issues with the generation of energy so I used the app and it stated the inverter isn't working. I've called the listed number a few times and was able to get a call back in 2 days and got the VP's number as a contact. I've requested for someone to come check it out but seems like the technician was backed up and it would be 2 weeks before he could come assess. They said they would call back with more info, no callback. I've left 3 messages on the main line, called the VP and left messages, and texted. Meanwhile, I figured out a way to reset the inverter and solar seemed to work. Every 5-7 days I would lose connection and would have to reset the inverter. Now I'm forced to check multiple times a day through the app to see if I'm generating any energy. It has cost me hundreds to thousands of dollars to pay Edison for the bills. Currently, the app isn't connecting and resetting the inverter isn't working. I've had the solar system not even two years, broken inverter by one and a half years, and now the second is on its way out. Still haven't gotten a callback for any assistance. read more

Overall the system was installed and working as expected. I would have given more stars if the communication was better from the back office after receiving the Mechanic's Lien. We participated in the OC Goes Solar and we went with Solar 360. That as a great decision! Charlie was fantastic in answering my questions. When I said we couldn't afford as many panels as they said would give us the most benefit, he said no problem. When I asked if we could add more panels and a battery in the future, he said no problem. He was prompt in his service with us. Jessica was also fantastic! She was very fast in responding, and diligent to follow up when I didn't respond. And after all the paperwork was submitted, she even helped me when SoCal Edison said I was missing information and contacted me directly. She took care of it swiftly. The installation team was super professional, fast, quiet, personable and respectful. The place was clean and you couldn't even tell there was construction on our property afterwards. Evie was our inspector. She was very knowledgeable, personable and took the time to answer my questions and show us what we needed to do with our new equipment. The equipment has been humming along for 2 months now and we check it every day to see how much we're generating and how much CO2 we are saving from going into our atmosphere! It's exceeding expectations (I thought we'd save maybe $180 but its more close to $360. Could be wrong, I can't read the SCE bill well). What value! I received estimates from 5 different company before I settled on going with solar360. They weren't the cheapest but middle of range. I also needed my roofing done as it was about time. For the fact that they also do roofing and not have to coordinate with another roofing co made my decision easier. Brand and model of solar equipment and battery they installed were also what I was shopping for. Whole process was actually done earlier than originally expected as they had some schedule open up. My panels stopped working 9 months ago and sadly I didn't even become aware of this til just recently thanks to my heart-attack-inducing annual Edison bill (I have apparently been misinterpreting my monthly bills as credit and assumed I was still producing). And I can't blame my installer Solar-360 as they dont monitor my system. The serviceman they had sent diagnosed the problem as a failed inverter, which they ordered 2 weeks ago. Since we are now beyond the 7-10 day delivery window of the replacement part, I reached out to support staff for a FOURTH time to check on the status, to which I have received either NO reply or a "Not here yet. Trying calling us again tomorrow." The servicemen was kind and proactive enough to research my file and fwd me the tracking link which confirms it was delivered A WEEK AGO. Had a large job in Newport Beach with approximately 38 solar panels and 2 battery backups installed. Job was done professionally and on time. I was very happy with the customer support. Even more, about 7 months after the install, the readings from the system were inaccurate and causing the system to not work at its full potential. Sale process with Brent was great! I was not constantly pressured into making a decision. I asked a million questions over the course of weeks and he took the time to answer each one, rather than just referring me to an informational pamphlet. I was given a custom proposal that spelled out the process pretty well. Once I signed on, I was able to get through the pipeline faster than usual due to COVID. Business was slow, so they were able to focus and push my project. Just know that from start to finish, this project will take well over a month and you'll be interacting with lots of different people from this company, contractors, the city, and the electric company. Work will occur over multiple days and different people will be at your house for various reasons. Also, I decided to not only to get solar panels installed, but also have them install a new electrical panel since mine was dated. That likely added time and people to the project. The review would've been 5 stars if the project management and the explanation of financing was better. Get yourself educated or ask a lot of questions about split loans if you go that route! I was left hanging several times when I asked questions on the timing and completion of each step of the process. I was upset with the way the work site was left for days on end. I wasn't aware that my backyard would have construction debris for well over a week before it was finally cleaned up. Not good for my dog or my pool. At the end of the day, I'm happy with the results. There is a cool app to use that shows my solar production. Since activation, I produce more than I consume, so I only pay a monthly connection fee of $10 or so to the electric company and my monthly loan payment for the solar panels, which is similar to what my regular electrical bill was prior. In 12 years when my loan is paid off, I'll basically be powering my house for free! The panels have a 25 year warranty and should last upwards of 40 years, so that's potentially 28 years of free power. Not bad if you ask me! read more

Our system appears to have stopped working about 2 years after installation. The system is well within the warranty period, but Solar360 is avoiding communicating with us to get it fixed. No one ever picks up on the "customer service" line or returns voicemails. When I was finally able to reach a field engineer through the Sales line after multiple days of calls, he promised that he would give me a call back the next morning to arrange a time to come by. He didn't do that, hasn't called me back over the last 5 days and does not pick up when I call the supposed "direct number" he gave me. Solar 360 apparently seeks to just take your money and leave you without a working system if anything goes wrong after installation. I really really really wanted to give Solar 360 a 5 star rating, but truthfully their back office operation needs a lot of work. After getting a few quotes from multiple solar companies, we proceeded with Solar 360 because their quote was most competitive and Jeremy (the Sales rep) I talked to was very responsive and knowledgable in guiding us with the various options to consider. Once we the contract was submitted and signed, I started to notice the responsiveness in their communication dropped significantly. It took a few follow-up's to finally get in touch with Sergio, who is our project manager. I found myself always having to call, text, and email him to confirm things or follow-up on things because he wasn't super proactive with confirming timelines with us. Once I do get him on the phone, he's always very communicative and helpful, but it's the follow-up and follow through that is lacking. At times, his phone would be off and we can't get a hold of him altogether. An example is trying to schedule someone to come out to commission our battery after PTO. No email confirmation on the date or time. I had to call to press him about putting us on the schedule, then they delayed the date by a week without informing us, and Sergio's out of office (again). As deadline of benefit with NEM 2.0 is getting close I decided to hire Solar 360 with some worry which is usual when it is related to construction. But quite contrary to what I thought everything went so smooth and it was done much earlier than promised.
