I never considered solar until I purchased my new home which uses a lot of electricity due to the large square footage of my property, the running of my pond as well as the electricity to run my Tesla. After finding out that my monthly bill hovers around $300 to $400 dollars and knowing that there is still a 30% federal tax break I quickly did my research and started to get bids. I received bids from the top names in the industry, from Solaris, Peterson/Dean, Solarmax, LA Solar etc... Each company really did provide me with great customer service, great follow up and explained in detail what their services was about. I was about to close a deal on one of the companies until Solar 360 popped up on my Yelp Page. To be honest I was concerned because it says they serve the orange county area but to my surprise they serve most of the LA county region. Dominique the sales rep came and explained to me in detail their warranty, their product, their workmanship and so forth. What I really wanted to know from him is the pricing. Solar 360 actually has the best competitive pricing. I am not kidding when I tell you this but they easily outbid the quotes from the other companies by at least $5 to $7 grand. But of course you need to have great credit. There were some small bumps along the road but that was expected because of the issues with the city and edison however the customer service from Courtney has been really great. I did feel like I was bombarding her with questions but each time she patiently responded with a response :) I know am running solar happily and at the same time saving the environment ...and money! :) read more

Had my system installed back in 2016 and everything was great. But then with all the rain this year, my system sprung a leak so I called the company to check. Victor came out and was very professional. He identified the leak and was able to do a permanent fix while explaining the whole process. The other companies were secretive and not forthcoming, only sharing the most basic information about the proposed system and financing. We asked for solar only (no batteries) quotes through EnergySage as well as a few independent quotes. Charlie Kim from Solar-360 provided a very competitive quote. We asked for REC or Panasonic panels with Enphase micro inverters. We also wanted a contractor that would use our existing solar attic run wiring, and Solar-360 was one of the few companies that would meet our needs with NO up-charges. Also a roofing contractor, the Solar-360 crew did a great job on our concrete tile roof, including the replacement of broken tiles they found. The system was planned, designed, installed, and signed off by the city ahead of schedule, and so far is working great! I had my Solar panels installed last year. From the start of the process, everyone from the Solar360 team I had contact with were very hands on and communicative. It never felt like they were just trying to sell me solar panels, instead were very patient, and I could feel their transparency and guidance to making the right decisions for this project. I did my research before hand, and offered me equipment that were the best suited and most efficient for my home. The process was a lot faster than the projected install time for my case, Solar360 prepared and submitted the application to my city promptly, and my city approved it within a couple of days. This was unexpected, but the Solar360 team was able to adjust and move the install day as soon as possible. Install was quick and no problems with the panels and the equipment. Even after my solar became operational, they would still check up to see if everything is okay and if there are any problem. I appreciate that. Solar360 was great and attentive when we first installed in 2015...now they are unresponsive. Our panels are broken and I've been trying since June of this year to get even an estimate or next steps to get it fixed. Apparently now that our system is older, service is poor/nonexistent. I've been attempting to get them to return calls and emails regarding a mechanics lien for months. I finally got someone on the phone about a month ago who assured me the issue would be resolved. I naively assumed it had been handled, and was completely shocked when I received a summons today because I'm being sued for the mechanics lien. So far the solar system itself is fine but customer service is non existent and apparently they don't pay their contractors. read more

Buyer beware...I thought I did sufficient research and trusted the many positive reviews on yelp. The ugly: I honestly thought something was wrong with the system, I just had to come to the realization that they undersized/designed my system. I decided to get solar because I got an electric car, we have another one on order (and I told them this) yet they still sized my system to my standard usage. Obviously they wanted the sale, my not knowing any better, I trusted that they included the anticipated usage into the system size/design. It's extremely frustrating to pay all this money for a system and to be disappointed with the outcome. I'm paying a loan for my system, I still have a monthly bill that goes to SCE, and after the 12 month cycle, I'll have a bill that will be around $1,000 to SCE. If you get other estimates and anticipate having higher usage in the future, go with the estimates that give you a larger system. The bad: There seems to be a lot of turn around in this company. The person that sold me the system no longer works there, neither does the project manager that did my installation. I've been having issues on an array that comes on and off line. They've come out multiple times to address it but I still don't have confidence in it. Customer service is not the greatest. Last time they came out, the electrician did a good job troubleshooting and staying on the phone with Enphase to make sure everything was good. He said he was going to be back on Monday to do a firmware upgrade and more trouble shooting, he never came back and I never got a message rescheduling or canceling. The good: Their team talks a good game, they work fast and do a decent installation. Inspections had them come back multiple times, but for the most part, they did a good job installing the system. read more

I will give a 1/2 star if I could. I will not recommend this company to anyone. I got so frustrated due to their non professional performance. The solar system started installation in mid July and after 4 months now, there is still no sign of any possible approval. To be fair, I am not saying that was due to their workmanship. That is kind of on par but not super. However, they installed my solar different from their approved plan. Even their electrician took the original field measurements before making their plans. Because of this, I was not able to get my system approved by the City at tue first final inspection. A revision of the plans had to be made. The point is after the revision, I wasn't regularly informed about the status of the project. The project manager, Jessica, rarely replied emails, messages or phone calls promptly. I was hanging dry for weeks. When I tried to take things in my own hands and scheduled inspection. They didn't bring updated plans for inspection and for sure another fail. Later they said the revised plans are not approved yet. But I just can't understand why they didn't say that when they knew I scheduled inspection. Then Rene from the company who said he/she will handle the project now (the third one for my project now) emailed. He/she claimed only one more inspection left before the City needs to charge me $400 inspection fee. Sounded like he/she is blaming me for calling inspection this time. So ridiculous!! Now another two weeks passed after the last failed inspection and ,as usual, there is no feed back or update. You tell me if this performance worths a referral or good review!?? read more

My solar system was working well for 2 years but has been down for the last 3 weeks, reportedly due to a power surge. The equipment manufacturer's best practice recommendation is to install adequate surge protection. I had inquired about this protection prior to signing the contract but was told they do not provide the service and they did not recommend it. Parts of the install were also different than what was initially discussed (see photos). They had promised me that any solar production problems would be monitored and repaired by Solar 360 but in fact did not take any action on this issue until I discovered it myself and notified them more than a week later. Their contract guaranteed I would achieve a annual production level which I will now not meet due to their delays in assessing and fixing the problem. read more

After speaking with some bigger companies, I considered talking to my local solar companies to see what they could give me. After searching through Yelp, one of the companies I requested a quote from was Solar 360. They were able to give me the largest selection of panels, a thorough breakdown of all products they offered, and the best prices I'd seen. Some of the bigger companies were charging me the same amount as Solar 360, but were giving me much smaller systems. After a visit from their salesman, Ron, I was convinced this was the company for me based on: how thorough their process is, the price, quality of materials, and they gave me this feeling of trust. After signing my contracts, I was given a detailed schedule of the process to get solar up and running. I started this process August 18th and they predicted everything would be installed by the end of October, but they finished everything so quickly that my panels were installed on October 10th. I started generating energy on October 21st! They sent their salesmen to speak with me one last time for a final walkthrough of my system, and assured me that if anything went wrong, I could put in a ticket and they would handle my needs as soon as possible. I also asked how easy it would be to get more installed later (I've asked this to the other companies and some of them said they don't do that) and they said they'd come out for any number even though it may not be fully profitable for them to do so. I definitely recommend them to everyone, especially those who aren't knowledgeable on solar because they walk you through everything and make the process extremely simple! Hello everyone , after many research on which panels I should buy based on my usage and style, I found that the perfect panels for me where the LG320N1K-A5!!! Called of course different company and I got a good price (I thought) first company quote me $29K, the second one $27K any way.. it was really tiring.. Everything seemed to be good at first. We got all New flat roofing with insulation and covered in a sealant to help reflect heat. They also installed solar for us as well. At the end of the project the roofer said he would be back to paint the siding to match (pictures) and that someone would contact us for final inspection. 2 months after the solar was turned on I had to reach out and ask for a final inspection, at this point is when I realized I had made the wrong decision with this company. David came out and did the inspection and saw that it wasn't all completed. There were dripping, the conduit hadn't been painted and the siding wasn't painted. He emailed the photos and asked for the company to send out people to co plate the work. This was Nov 22 and he sent an email asking for the work to be completed (this AFTER I had already sent my own email). Fast forward to March 13, and still no word back and now the roof started leaking!! See pictures of the brand new roof below! It was a sitting lake. I emailed David again and he forwarded the information to a bunch of people including the CEO Frank. He quickly responded and said it would all be taken care of and "made right" (I have attached a photo of email as proof). Now it is August and STILL NOTHING!!! No response, nothing fixed. They don't care at all.....it has been 1 year since the job has been competed and it still hasn't been signed off! The job still isn't done, not to mention it leaks and has probably damaged the wood and insulation underneath. Please feel free to message me on here to ask for more info. I highly recommend fully researching other options rather than going through this company. It has been a nightmare and the communication is terrible. Now to add to the headache the original guy who was helping me doesn't work there anymore. We just want it to be done and completed. Beware of this company. He brought in his crew and was able to get the leak fixed and the dry wall patched in the ceiling(painted as well). Great communication and joy to talk with. My second review with Solar 360. Got our system in 2019. Has been wonderful. So when the switch to 5g happened in 2022 my app was never updated. And with all this rain Edison started sending us electric bills I couldn't see what we were producing. Ricky came out here to my house same day out of his way on his lunch to see if he could update our solar edge or if we needed a new antenna for our inverter. I had someone out here before that couldn't get it to update so I thought this is a lost cause. Well Ricky got it up and going again now I see all my panels and what they produce on my phone again. I chose Solar 360 because of the positive reviews. The sales rep seemed to be far more knowledgable then reps from other companies I spoke to. They definitely were not the cheapest, but I do believe you get what you pay for. I was WRONG! The communication has been TERRIBLE. I've had to initiate all phone calls as to the status of the project. The installers show up later than the times given and leave without saying anything unless you track them down. They don't work a full 8 hours. The won't show up for weeks with no update. Then I would call and be given the run around with excuses. It would take a week or more for them to show up, leave the job incomplete and leave with no update. We've addressed the communication issues multiple times with no improvements. They scheduled a final inspection with the city, then left before the city inspector showed up. They were to replace any tiles they broke. They haven't! The 2nd attempt with the city inspector they were told by the inspector that all the tiles had to be replaced/repaired before he would sign off. That was 2 weeks ago. I was told 5 days ago the "roofing" department was to show up this morning to replace all broken or missing tiles. They didn't! They estimated the project to complete in 4-5 days. We did run into a section of the roof that needed repairs, but I hired a roofer and the repairs were made within a week. For a 4-5 day installation that started in JUNE we're now in late AUGUST. The system is still not operational. I have missing/broken roof tiles all over my roof. WHAT AN EXTREME DISAPPOINTMENT! read more

Well, this is very sad. Maybe it's a sign of the times. I HIGHLY recommended Solar360 many years ago when they installed my system. Everything went smoothly and I was extremely satisfied. So in turn I recently recommended someone at my work to call them and use them. I told him they were great. Unfortunately, he did not get the same great service, yet his system did get done and is now working. Not without some hiccups. Once his system was in and operating, I called and inquired about a referral spiff. Since my Enphase monitor had stopped working I thought that would be a good referral spiff. I was told to let them check with Enphase and they would get right back to me. It's been weeks and not even a return call. I can't say I'll be referring any more clients to Solar360. read more

Update: I take that 2 star back. Now I wish I could just leave no stars. All the old felt paper from the roof and some of the new rolls were left leaning of my wooden fence for a month. From 12/17 to 1/16. The wooden fence at one point gave out and was leaning towards my neighbors side. They were the ones that brought it up. I contacted solar 360 about it and after they came to take a look they refused to fix it because they said the fence already had dry rot and that they are not going to take responsibility. Pretty much they told me it was the fence condition that cause it to give not the all the heavy rolls leaning against for a month. To me that just sounded like another excuse in order not to fix what they damaged. I ended up paying for the repairs out of my pocket. I added pics of all the stuff that was leaning on it. read more

We got our solar power system installed and running smoothly because of the very good work of our sales person Mike McCue and our project manager Courtney Ford. These people were so knowledgeable and very nice and fun to work with. They were easy to get hold of and responded in a timely manner as well. Not only did we get solar panels but we also decided to get a new Alumawood patio cover with lighting and fans to replace our existing rotting wood patio and new vinyl fencing for the entire backyard. Not only that, Mike told us about zoning our house so that we'd have more control over the temperature between the upstairs and downstairs of the house without having to install a separate air conditioning unit. I had an extremely positive experience with Solar 360. My install was a bit challenging and it seemed Newport inspectors were an obstacle every step of the way. But project managers Clayton and Jared were great about keeping me in the loop and letting me know what the next step is through the entire process. Both were accessible, answering and/or returning calls promptly. Once the system was up and running I got a great tutorial from Jared. Finally, the cost.
