They provide a clear recommendation, options for financing over 12 and 20 years, and a digitized proposal. Rene was very transparent and consultative throughout. We have had our solar panels for approximately 3-4 years and initially we were producing and consuming a fairly equal amount of energy to be able to receive credit from Edison. This was during the pandemic (2020) when everyone was home 24/7 so consumption was at its highest. Each year since, we have been paying Edison almost the same amount we paid before we had panels. We understand consumption may be up and prices have also gone up but it does not make sense that we are paying quadruple now. We have been in communication with both Solar 360 and Edison and of course each is blaming the other. My main issue is not even with all of the things I described above but rather the customer service from 360. We just wanted someone to come out to check that the system is working properly but that alone took 6 months and the only way they would send someone out is to charge us $300! We decided to pay this just to get some answers but should have known that the answer was the same for less than 15 minutes of inspection. I have never encountered a business that charges this amount of money to provide a quick inspection to make sure your product and customers are taken care of. Mind you this is the first time we've had anyone come out to check so this is not due to overuse of the service. Be cautious when choosing your solar provider as our friends who used another company did not get charged any fees for an inspection. read more

The problem is that there are lots of options to consider and a sales rep isn't necessarily a reliable indicator of the product and service you're purchasing. BEWARE!!! I'm glad I waited to give this company a review. I actually worked with the 2 guys that talked me into this bad decision. I had worked with them 18 years ago. I thought they were trust worthy. After a year I ended up getting a 4500 dollar bill from SCE. They promised me that it would be approximately 75 dollars a month which is 900 dollars. Then when I called they were saying that the system was working and producing more than promised. They said in October there was a small hiccup in the system. They said I was doing something wrong. So when they said that a red flag came up because nothing had changed at my residence. I got another Solar company and SCE involved. And both confirmed confirmed that the system had not been producing since October. I'm am on paperless billing and autopay with SCE and didn't see this coming. I actually discovered the problem in January when I pulled up my bill online. It was at 3500 dollars in January and the final bill was closing in March. So I called them after finding out they lied again about the system working properly and they said they would fix the problem. It took them over a month to get someone out to look at it. He said they put in an out dated inverter (from 2012) and he said that was the problem and he would be back to fix it. So I called and let them know because I was upset about what I was told and they said there was no way that happened. That was in February. So the guy never came back and I called for another month and finally said I would get my attorney involved and they sent someone out. They said it was a wiring problem and they would be back to fix it. Well it's now a month later and nobody from the company has been back. So I'm paying for solar every month and not getting what I'm paying for and not getting the problem fixed. And because of that I'm paying more to SCE because they charge almost double during peak hours when you have solar. Pretty sad when you spend over 54,000 dollars with a company and they don't care about the customer. read more

It's been a month now that I've had my solar panels installed and running thanks to Solar 360, and I'm very happy with my purchase. I interviewed 9 different companies before picking solar 360 and did so for a few reasons: 1) No BS upselling of things I don't need - A couple of companies pushed for premium panels which wasn't a factor given my roof space and energy needs. Electricity is electricity. Since I don't need the power density that the premium panels provide, Dominque was honest with me that the Hanwa panels were the right fit for my home. 2) Great service - Solar 360 was on top of the whole project and took a little over a month from signing the agreement to the net meter getting installed and sending power back to the grid. They explained the variability in the permit timelines and set my expectations, but were able to exceed them with their efficient work. 3) Did what they said - In the end, I got exactly what I expected and even a little more. Since the panels we originally agreed to in the contract ended up being unavailable, they offered slightly better panels for no cost difference to keep things moving forward (or allowed me the option to wait). I hate sharing bad reviews because sometimes you just catch someone in a bad day. Usually I excuse it. But this is a repeated, long term horrible experience that is bordering on fraud. First, we signed up with Solar 360 about 3 years ago. One of the reasons we chose them was they told us they'd be a partner with us, helping us understand the more complex billing process with the electric company and answering any questions and concerns we would have. The experience was so great we even referred a friend, which we were told we would get $500 (and now 3 months later have not received). Our first two years our annual solar expense was under $200 and we were thrilled. Then, we received our third annual bill and it was over $4,000. We contacted the electric company thinking it was an error, and we were told that for 8 months our inverter was out and we weren't producing or using solar power. We were shocked our "partner" didn't let us know. We called Solar 360. And after leaving 5 voicemails over 3 weeks I finally reached someone on the 6th call. They asked us to send our annual solar statements and assured us we would be helped on the bill and a new inverter would be ordered. The new inverter came and was installed two weeks later, but we kept calling to find out about the "help in the bill" that was coming. After 8 additional voicemails with the customer service rep, and 4 conversations with sales reps saying that the owner was "reviewing why this happened and get back to us" - we have accepted our partner has abandoned us. It's been 7 weeks since this originally happened, we have never been called back, and no one is taking any responsibility for the failure. We are now told, 3 years later, there's an app we could have downloaded to monitor the equipment, which would have been so helpful to know years ago. And still, no referral check. There are so many solar companies in the market, I would urge consumers to avoid Solar 360 and hope they find someone honest. read more

After watching our electric bill skyrocket the last few years and the uncertainty of the future electric tier fees, we began to research the advantages of purchasing and installing a solar system. After researching and interviewing numerous vendors we chose Vince Curcie from Solar 360, Building Services Inc. to be our representative. There are many advantages to going solar but primarily the long term cost savings was most important to us. We purchased our system as opposed to leasing. The research I did on purchasing vs. leasing provided us with no logical reason to lease and in the end the greatest cost advantage was purchasing. We did not have to put any money down and we used a lender that Vince referred us to, who provided multiple options that we liked. We settled on an option that allowed us to pay our loan off in 8 years and our monthly bill is still less than our average monthly electric bill. With our solar system generating electricity we will not have an electricity bill so it is a win -win for us. Recently, there have been many salespeople in our area asking if we are interested in going solar. Through my contact with them, I have found that most of these are salespeople only and have very basic knowledge as to the working of the solar system. They will push a "20 year lease option with a locked in monthly electric bill" or "17 cent KW" option. These salespeople did not spend the time to explain their product and immediately went into the cost and how they would save me money. This sounds pretty enticing at first, but the monthly bill will increase every year and after 20 years, you still don't own the system. You will have paid two to three times as much by leasing as opposed to purchasing. There are some big name sales companies with large advertising funds and famous spokespersons pushing this option as well. Don't fall for the bait!!! With Solar 360, I found and contacted them. I interviewed Vince Curcie at my home. I found Vince to be professional and a great representative of the company. Vince kept me informed as to the progress of the installation from beginning to end. Vince took the time to explain the function of the solar system and product they used, manufactured in Oregon, USA. He used our previous 12 months electric bill to obtain our average monthly electric service cost and KW's used. Using this information he obtained the number of solar panels needed to generate enough electricity to come close to covering our electrical usage. With this information he provided us with the cost of the solar system and approximate monthly bill depending on number of years of the loan. Two months ago I discovered my roof was leaking. We have a roofer who's taken care of my father-in-law's house and a few friends houses over the years. I gave them a call and it was confirmed the roof had to go. I purchased solar from Solar 360 in 2014. They did a great job and it looked like I was going to need them again. I won't lie I had some trepidation about calling them and either discovering they were out of business or would be unable to help in time to get my roof replaced. As it turns out, not only were they still in business but they were busy! Initially it was tough to get a hold of them. I later learned they were having some phone issue and after sending them an email with my number I got a return call from Jerad. Jerad and I talked and settled on a price for removal and then a later reinstall. I believe it was fair and I appreciated not being "taken to the bank" as the saying goes. He agreed to squeeze us in ASAP and with-in 2 weeks we had a crew on our roof removing solar parts and stacking them neatly against a wall. The roof was replaced and I sent a text message to Jerad letting him know. We agreed he would again squeeze us in as his current jobs permitted. It took a couple of tries to get a crew out here. Jobs ran long and we had to reschedule a few times but Jerad kept at it until they had an opening. Yesterday 3 trucks and five men showed up at 0900 and begin to work. The lead man Chris told us it would be done by the end of the day. The crew was hard working, polite and professional. I am pleased to say I had yet another excellent and positive experience with Solar 360! They did what they said, they did it for the agreed upon price and they did a great job. I am told it is going to the city for permitting. Also if we use a different mounting bracket system we can save $2,500. I am good with this but not sure why this was not offered as an option for the start. It is now late May & have not received a single phone call or email from Solar 360. I call in to get an update as for a install date. I am told by the office that we are 3-5 month out due to the fact we need a electrical panel change. My overall experience with this company was very good. Dominique was my initial contact and answered every question . No matter when I called. He reassured me of all my skepticism. The process after that I spoke to a couple of other gentlemen. I can't remember there names but they too responded to all the questions I had in a timely manner. The assessment of my roof went well with no issues. The next step was install, while that was not an awfully experience the installers did leave nails and trash around my backyard. Not a major upset but a little irritating because I had to literally go around and pick up nails to prevent my kids from getting stuck as they love to go outside without shoes. Waiting to get approval to actually put the solar panels to work seemed to take a long time. It may be because I was anxious to get it done because it was missing summer but it took about 2 months from start to finish. After install the solar panels made these frightening popping sounds all day and night. I swear I thought we were at war. These sounds made me regret putting the solar panels up. I called the projects managers and they assured me that eventually the noise would stop but it went on forever. He explained that it could go on for up to year. It has been over a year I am glad to say that it has stopped popping, there is an occasional pop here and there but nothing worth calling anyone about. It is my understanding that it is the expanding and contracting of the panels. Last year I owed close to $200 on my electric bill for the year for my last bill of the year. I really needed more solar panels for the size of my house. We had 23 installed but really probably needed 10+ more to handle the the 3200+ sq ft. The Hero program is what we used to finance the solar panels and it was straight forward and explained in detail. We had no bill for the first year but was informed that we should save our monthly bill as though our payment were due now every month, because at the end of the year we would receive a lump sum bill for the entire free year. That did happened but our mortgage company had a hiccup and didn't bill us until a year and half later. Luckily the money was saved so we were able to pay it outright. This is added to your taxes and put into your monthly mortgage unless you pay it off. Which we plan to do by next year. This year so far I have credit of $204. I purposely waited to review so I could give a full detailed honest review.I hope this is helpful for others that are trying to figure out this process like I was. I would use solar 360 again the company is solid. Once we pay off our solar panels we will add more and I will use solar 360. I am still cognizant of how much electricity is used, especially once the sun goes down. I want to be able to turn on my air and heat and not worry about overage. I appreciate Dominique for not trying to make me buy as much as I qualified for. He encouraged me to test the panels before ramping if I did need more, I could always add more later and that is what will do. Had it not been for the terrifying popping and booming sound of the solar panels this would have been a five star review. No one informed me of the possibility that this could happen so it was very disheartening. It was a major deal as the sound would wake me out of my sleep. Half of the solar panels were over my bedroom. So if I could provide a critique it would be to provide that as a disclaimer to all future clients. We utilized Solar 360 for our solar needs due to the reviews on Yelp. We had five companies come and give us quotes and Solar 360 ((Rene) was the most professional and he explained the process clearly. Our current project manager, Will Olviedo, has done an excellent job of completing the work. Will has been very dedicated to the final process and making sure we were happy with this system. We had many bumps along the way that slowed down the process due to the required coordination with the County of Orange and Southern California Edison who had to approve the solar system. If you're thinking about going solar, I would recommend this company with the caveat that you may wish to increase the timeline in the schedule to allow for this coordination. Update - just to let you all know what great service we received from Frank, the owner of the company. We had some leaks from our roof near the panels and he has promised a quick resolution at no cost to us. We couldn't have asked for more!!! read more

Solar 360 installed my system five years ago. The system has worked great since then. A couple of days ago, I checked my MySolarEdge app and found that it hadn't reported any power production from my system for a few weeks. A bit of panic set in when I reviewed my SCE bill, causing alarms to go off and causing me to believe that my system was no longer producing power. The VP checked my system remotely and reviewed some screenshots of status panels that I provided from my inverter, and got back to me in less than a day to confirm that my system was functioning properly, explained a couple of things on my SCE bill, and submitted a trouble ticket for the Zigbee unit that has apparently not been reporting status correctly. It's great to know that I can count on Solar 360, not only for a great installation experience, but also to back me up years later when I have questions and issues with the system! read more

One of the FEW contractors that has delivered as promised. As of 2/21/2018, the solar system has performed better than Dominique Rivas promised. It was activated on 5/23/2016... with no problems, including installation. We probably interviewed at least a dozen companies when we were doing our research for a solar panel system. What we learned was that some of the companies offer lesser production capable systems at a premium price. Our system generates over 1 MWh of energy during 5 months of the year at the best price with the very best equipment & warranties. I can even monitor the production from my cell phone while I'm in Europe or China. We did our homework. Actually, my wife did our homework :). She has an Engineering Degree. If you are serious about getting a solar system, call Dominic Rivas at Solar 360 and tell him you want a system like we have. read more

He was accessible, answering and/or returning calls promptly. After signing my contracts, I was given a detailed schedule of the process to get solar up and running. I started this process July 2nd and they predicted everything would be finished by the end of September, but they finished everything so quickly that my panels were installed on July 27th. We decided on Solar 360 after getting bids from 2 other smaller Solar companies. While Solar 360 was a few hundred dollars more than the other bids we decided to go with Solar 360 and are very glad we did.From start to finish they were professional in every way. Once we had jumped through all of the hoops with the City and HOA they scheduled our installation for about 30 days out. Two days later our Project Manager (Sergio) called and said there was a cancellation and they could do ours at the end of the week! The installation was seamless and we love our new Solar System. Based on good Yelp reviews, I contacted Solar 360 in early June of this year (2019), seeking a consultation regarding a solar installation at our home. I spoke by phone and via e-mail with Austen Marshell, who scheduled a consultant (Dominique Rivas) to come to our house. Mr. Rivas performed an inspection of our house in mid-June. He asked for some additional information regarding our electricity bills, which we provided a few days later via e-mail. And then ... nothing. No further contact. I sent an e-mail in July as to the status, and I was told that they were "working on" a quote. And then ... nothing again. It's now 4 months later and we have not heard any further word. If this is how they treat prospective customers, then I shudder to think how they treat customers after the sale. read more
