I've had great massages here and some that lacked skill. There is no reason EVER to scrape the bottom of my feet with your finger nails, okay? Cut your nails, please. And my toe knuckles don't pop, stop pulling on them. And do NOT stick your fingers inside of my ears and press hard--wtf? These are not Chinese techniques, just unskilled workers. Do these masseuses have licenses? I don't see any evidence that they do. So, beware: I've had great massages here and some that lacked skill. It all depends on who you get. A nice cheap massage. We walked in and they took us straight to our beds. No extra questions or noting Jesus! As an introvert, the fewer words I have to say the better! I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and was very unbothered by the fact that we were in a big open room with other people. I got to keep my clothes on, so I didn't care. Upon returning from a trip to Shanghai, China where I regularly went out for massages, I wondered if I would be able to find such a great experience in Dallas! I was in luck! - My sister gifted me with a one-hour body massage here at Sole Therapy. The massage was wonderful and very reminiscent of my experiences at massage parlors in Shanghai! The enchanting sounds of Chinese folk music as the soles of my feet were rigorously kneaded, toes pinched and back clapped on was fantastic! The intermittent lulling away deliriously to the soothing applications of intense pressure along the body is surprisingly harmonious and not jarring as one might suspect. This place was pretty good - it was quick, easy, gets the job done. If you don't have time to sit in a fancy shmancy spa, and sip exotic teas but desperately need a few cricks worked out, then this is your place! I really liked how informal it was - no paperwork, no chit chat - mostly cuz they dont speak english, no taking your clothes off and slipping into a waffle knit robe, no fighting for space in a change room.. none of that. just walk in, barely a hello.. they usher you to the back and before you know it, your feet are soaking in a hot bucket of water! you dont even have time to think about what you want, or to even look at the menu. you take what they give you. its awesome! i was really looking forward to some brutality - to really get some deep acupressure type service. maybe my little guy was tired. maybe he thought i couldnt handle it. it wasnt deep enough for my liking, but my husband on the other side of the room, had his ass handed to him! it was amazing to hear him getting yelled at to "turn over! what, too hard?!" hahahaha! That's the guy I'm going to next time! I loved all of the slapping, knocking, friction, compressions - all very good and very effective. Even tho this was not a sweepy, glide-y service, don't be fooled - this gets circulation going,oxygen flowing, works more than just the superficial layers - it definitely stimulates your organs, gets toxins moving... So just as a side note - I am Chinese, and I am a licensed massage therapist. These guys did an awesome job! I'm only scoring 4 stars cuz I couldnt figure out how to get my chair to vibrate, and the pressure could have been a bit more. I really liked the loyalty card and I am 8 services away from a freebie! It was $35 for the one hour service, and BE SURE TO OFFER A GRATUITY!!!!! Try to pay cash... This place is awesome! Great bang for your buck. $35 and you get a full body massage. The massage therapists were great, very attentive and responsive to requests (you can ask for light, medium or hard pressure and they seemed to deliver on your request). The gentleman that worked on me applied hard pressure (which I asked for) and it was definitely hard but exactly what I wanted. I could feel him working out all the points of tension. The attention to pressure points seemed to relieve much of the knots I had, which felt fantastic. I suggest wearing clothes that you can feel the massage through (you keep all your clothes on), and clothes that are moveable as they do a bit of stretching on your arms and legs (workout clothes worked great for me). It also is a popular place so call in advance to make reservations. Definitely worth the $35. read more

Come here! It's a cheap, deep tissue massage with no appointment necessary! I always forget about this place existing but it's amazing. Clothes on, they massage you fro head to toe with some feet soaking in there too. It's one giant room with lots of beds but you keep your clothes on so it's not intimidating at all. I LOVE Sole Therapy! It's a great place to go to get an incredibly cheap and effective foot and body massage. 35.00 gets you an amazing little massage..starting with your head and then moving down to the feet and calves. Then you'll turn over and have a REALLY nice and deep massage from your neck down to your calves. It can be pretty intense at times, so if you are sensitive, I suggest letting them know beforehand. Totally relaxing and gets the circulation moving! The space isn't the GREATEST...The lobby is right outside the...massage room, so if loud groups walk by or someone bursts through the front door and talks above a whisper, you'll hear it. I do like the SUPER cheesy music that they play...I heard what I THINK was supposed to be a flute version of "everything I do...I do it for you", " i will always love you", and many other...romantic ? tunes. They play the same soundtrack @ Romi's nail salon too..which is always a big selling point for me when I go there. ** I DO prefer to bring a sleep mask to cover my eyes while I am having my treatment. By far the best, affordable reflexology massage I've had in dallas. I will be coming back over and over. My husband and I each got the 60-min back special, and it was awesome. They massage you, stretch you, knead you, twist you, rub your tight spots and even use hot stones!! It was exactly what we needed. Let's just be clear though about what to expect. It's not a spa atmosphere. You're in a room with other tables. You'll keep your clothes on. Expect them to put hands down the back of your shirt to massage your shoulders and lift your shirt to reach your lower back muscles. And expect it to be rough. What a bargain for top notch quality service. 60 minutes for only $35 and the result tops those $200/hour sessions from fancy spas around the world. I just relocated to Dallas from Canada. This will be my new go to place for full body and foot massage in town. He worked tirelessly through my work abused body. My knots at neck shoulder lower back due to desk work is bad enough that elbows just won't do anymore. Peter had to use his weight on his knee trying to work my gnarly knots loose. (Yeah, I had to have masseuse walk on my back before in Asia....). PROS: The massage technique was awesome! They get right down to business with the massage and afterwards I had a lot less backpain. CONS: Don't go for the ambience though, b/c there is none. Think factory style massage, bring your own mp3 player to avoid hearing the akward sighs of ecstasy from the person getting a massage in the chair next to yours. Also the phone rings incessantly so beware! My massage therapist was the woman who also doubled as the house secretary and cashier. Everytime the phone rang she would stop the massage to answer it. Also someone else in that room smelled like foot so that was slightly bothersome. I'm still going back because the bottom line is whatever they did MY SORE BACK FELT A LOT BETTER. Holy cow. This is literally the best massage I've ever gotten and is half the price of any of the other places I've ever gone. I tense up at work a lot in my shoulder area and I just had the MOST pain in my back last week so I swung by here after work for the back special. I was unfamiliar with Reike or reflexology before attending this session with Andi. I can tell you that I have never been more relaxed in my life. I slept so sound that night. Andi is truly a master at her practice. She is kind and gently and spoke healing words to me after my session. She was spot on about the things that I am struggle with by assessing the balance in my body. Your body responds and is weak in area for a reason. I learned things about myself and balancing my body. It was alright. However I wanted a hour long foot massage as my feet are killing me from working long hours on my feet and had crazy pain in my left foot. However they barely touched the feet and worked more on the body. I didn't need that just wanted feet relaxation. Not sure if I will come again. My feet don't feel any better and he didn't use much pressure when working on my feet. Then lastly I really hate when people hover over me to see what kind of tip I'm gonna leave. My massage was horrid. I receive a wide price range of massages and adjust my expectations accordingly. I have had some FAB foot massages at $35 an hour spots, but this was just awful. The girl was literally grinding my bones, grabbing, punching, pinching, and twisting my skin. It was horrible. I was so close to walking out of there but I didn't have the energy to make a scene. At times I was being choked out. For a "foot massage" you really only get about 20 min of feet and 40 min of body. I have never been in so much pain from a massage!!! I think she was perhaps thai as she was using all of her weight to "stretch me" however I weigh about 105 lbs so when a person twice my size puts all of their body weight "to stretch my knee" it results in injury.
