My wife and I ate here twice, one carry out and one sitting outside in the sand. On both occasions the food was great, fresh and good portions. Disappointing Service - No Accountability After a 50-minute wait, we were seated, then ignored for 30 minutes while our server looked us in the eye multiple times and never approached. I'm not a coffee snob, but I am a bit picky and I thought this was good coffee. The food was unpretentious (which I think there is a certain segment of the population who would say it needs more flavor, and you see that in the reviews below) but to me this was delicious. The server (I think Eliska? At least that's what was on our check) was super friendly and nice. Would 100% return. One tiny complaint -- I don't like the food being served on foil because I was cutting through it with my knife. Have yet to try the food but we stopped in for drinks randomly and saw they have the best espresso martinis as told by their sign in the front. They have this beautiful copper espresso machine on the counter/bar when you first walk in and you know the martinis are freshly brewed! I came to Somewhere on a Sunday morning during my recent trip to Rehoboth Beach. I had a party of six adults and two children, we did not have reservations and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich on a Croissant, with Bacon, Eggs and an added side of Hash Browns. The sandwich was good, the Croissant was very fluffy and the Bacon was cooked to a crisp. My only complaint about my order was that the portion of Hash Browns was really small, I wish I got a little more to match with the size of the Breakfast Sandwich. In terms of service, there weren't alot of people seated... but it took quite a bit for my niece to get a high chair. In addition to that, food took a long time to come out... and when my food came it was almost room temperature... I was wondering if my food had been sitting somewhere for a bit before making its way out to me? The staff were friendly enough, but the delay in service and the state of our food when it came out is why this place is not a place I would go out of my way to return to... Okay. The only reason I gave this 3 stars is because our waitress was nice but that's literally it. I came here with 3 other people and originally we wanted to go to Egg, but saw the amount of people waiting outside which led us to Somewhere. I walked up to the hostesses and asked if there was a wait but neither of them even greeted me. When I walked up, they both literally just stared at me as if I spoke in another language. whatever, they still didn't answer my question so I just asked for a table of 4. Our waitress came to get our orders/drinks etc. we ordered our food and drinks and it came out in a reasonable time. No complaints about that but when the food came out, I was so disappointed in the portion size. All the food that came out just looked sad and I can't believe for the price that they would serve it like that. Our bill came out to I believe was $125? around there. for breakfast I thought that was absurd. I'd never been nor knew of this place before so I checked out their menu and found both the food and the ambiance very interesting. Later my husband and I decided we would have lunch there. I'm so glad we did. We both had tacos - I had Mahi Mahi and Jerk Chicken and he had Pork Carnitas and grilled Shrimp. I got the avocado toast. By the time it arrived, all evidence that it was made on-demand for me was gone. The bread was indeed toasted at some point in its life. The avocado itself was not adulterated with any salt or acid or anything that would give it flavor. There were some small pieces of bacon on top that I have to assume were cooked a couple of hours ago and thrown into a bucket to get soggy and then picked out to be placed on the food items to be delivered. The Food did take a bit of time to come out, based off the menu size it should be a bit easier for the kitchen as it wasn't that busy. Corn tortillas tacos were not grilled before filling and fell apart as soon as I picked them up, and if you know the taste of an uncooked corn tortilla it makes or breaks the taco. The tacos overall flavors were good. I would recommend them all just ask to have the tortilla grilled first. End of service, waited 30 minutes after we were done for our bill.
