The food is good, the service is not. We waited 25 min for a mimosa (and it was make our own so we just had to get the bottle and the mix). When we asked the server what was going on with our drinks, she said we could go to the bar and ask. The drinks otherwise are good. The buffalo cauliflower and chicken sandwiches are good. The kale Caesar is very plain, so get extra dressing on the side. It's a cool little bar and the outside is really nice. read more

We came here for the first time yesterday for lunch... then came for dinner... then drinks... then this morning before leaving, we had breakfast here. The food is perfect. Delicious, fresh, many vegan and vegetarian options. The elote salad is divine, tofu tacos and shrimp tacos are heavenly, and the waffles are some of the best I've ever had! Every server we've had has been quick, kind, and cool. Cute place off the beach. They have a quality espresso machine from Italy and I was excited for what would probably be the best latte in Rehoboth. The barista was very friendly and the place has indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. She did a nice job with the espresso but unfortunately wasn't really trained on the difference between a latte and a cappuccino. She added too much air and made me a lattachino. It tasted good but clearly was the wrong thing. Overall, well worth looking for it and stopping by. The pastries looked good and probably worth a try. read more

Love this place. Tried it for the first time today and it was a 10/10. We got to sit down right away even on a Sunday morning. Most of us got the burrito which was fabulous. Somewhere (formerly Mud & Spoon) is a wonderful and serious coffee shop along with what looks to be a very fun and cool bar & restaurant. We came in early on a weekday looking for some quality joe and, wow! They delivered! Not only was the espresso and beans (toasted in nearby Wilmington) fabulous. They also have the equipment and expertise to really pull great shots and construct less common drinks (say, a cortado) perfectl. This was my 3rd time here. First 2 times were good however today's experience was terrible- food and service. We never saw our waiter after getting our food. Chicken on salad wasn't cooked all the way. I had to ask someone else for the check after sitting there for 20 minutes. Got the check but never did see our waiter again. I loved this place for a number of reasons: the staff out front was reason we stopped, they said hello and said you should come in so we took a look at menu and last minute decided to go in for some cocktails before our dinner reservation elsewhere. And really if we weren't meeting people at the other location we would've just dined here. The service at the bar was so fast and friendly and suggestion of the crab salsa and chips - oh my goodness- sooo good!! I am home from vacation and still thinking of that salsa, YUM. Cocktails were a blueberry coconut drink for me and my daughter who lived in Arizona and became hooked on spicy margs there has been looking for the equivalent since moving back and there she found it- a spicy margarita with lavendar and pineapple I believe. She raved about it. This place is decorated so beach fun chic. We tried the next night to go back for espresso martini but unfortunately they are closed on Mon and Tuesday. Somewhere will be going nowhere if they don't change fast... My family was drawn there for cocktails and dessert by images on the still active Mug and Spoon website that tout Somewhere's fresh baked waffle cones and creative desserts, yet we were greeted by a much different reality. As another Yelper stated, we should have been concerned when we arrived at 7:30 and found an empty restaurant. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and sat down at a table in their outdoor space-- a lovely sand and plant filled oasis oozing with potential. We told the hostess we were only there for cocktails and desserts and she said that was no problem at all. Despite being handed a paper food menu, the bulk of the cocktail list and all of the desserts are only accessible via a QR code on the menu. There were almost no desserts-- a cookie and ice cream. A hotel mini-bar has more options than this place which seeks to fill Rehoboth with the scents of waffle cones. Our waitress was friendly, but unaware of the ice cream options. After checking, she revealed them to be vanilla and espresso. The hotel mini bar continues to lead. I asked a bar tender/ manager about the lack of dessert options, and he said they "shifted concepts" to a full menu and removed all the dessert options pictured on the website. He did say the ice cream options might also include bananas foster and sangria. Even with these additions, the four ice cream list should be something the waitress can internalize. I then remarked, perhaps too frankly, that the shift in strategy didn't seem to be working (while staring at a literally empty restaurant). The manager responded that they "had a strong brunch." I get that. I love brunch. But why are you open now and why are you advertising creative desserts? The cocktails were pretty solid, but the vanilla ice cream we settled on to appease our kids tasted frost burnt. The space is great and I am certain if they imbraced their dessert based roots, they'd return to glory. If not, and they want to focus on brunch, go for it, just close at 2pm like every other brunch place and don't get kids excited with pictures of non-existent epic shakes and cakes. read more

Service VERY slow but maybe understandable on busy Sunday on holiday weekend. Mediocre coffee. Skimpy hash browns on the side. Waitperson was very nice and solicitous, but when she told me that the cook had already been admonished several times before about the dry eggs, she lost me as a future potential customer. They took 10% off the bill for my complaints. That won't be enough to lure me back for brunch. You can do much better -- and cheaper -- at Egg or Crystal up the road. We sat on the porch to the side (with a pile of disorganized chairs and tables behind us). Of the four things we ordered, three were good. Nachos were decent. Chicken and waffles were yummy. Mermaid drink hit the spot. My husband did not care for the shrimp and grits. We chose not to stay for ice cream. This is a hidden Gem!! We originally walked down Baltimore Ave to go to Aqua for dinner but saw it was packed. We were a bit nervous to eat at Somewhere seeing that it was empty. Saw they had Watermelon Mules happy hour so decided to grab a drink and then move on for dinner. Their Watermelon Mules were AMAZING!! So good that we actually went to the liquor store and kitchen store the next day to try to copy their recipe. Timesha was our waitress and she was extremely attentive and polite. We ended up splitting the smash burger as an app for HH. It was so good we just decided to have dinner there. Ordered the chicken sandwich and fries as well. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were delicious. Fries are an up-charge but definitely worth the $2. The owner stopped by our table as well to engage in a light conversation asking us where we were from and told us a bit about his up bringing too. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Typically, I never want to write a negative review, but I had no choice to give this establishment 1 star. The sad thing is we never even dined at this restaurant. It all started with the hostess stand. After going to the Sea Witch Festival on Saturday we wanted to grab lunch and check out this place as we heard it was fairly new so we wanted to give it a try. Upon walking up to the hostess stand she seemed very busy and looked like she needed more help. She not only was working the hostess stand but also wiping down tables. After putting our name down bc we knew there would be a wait we were told by the young hostess the wait time would be 20-30 minutes. So we said okay no problem and sat down out front. A little after 40 minutes of wait time we asked the hostess what the status was and she told us we should be up soon. While watching her disappear several times and watching people wait for her to return to give them there name we noticed lots of the tables were empty and also had dirty dishes still on them. Seemed to us they were very short staffed. This weekend happens every year and as a restaurant they should have been better prepared for the busy weekend. My children started getting more restless because the hostess kept telling us soon, but after an hour and 15 minutes still no table so we decided to leave and go somewhere else, the point of this review is the management really needs to train their front staff. They are the first ones that make a good impression, and this young woman really had no clue how to do her job. She did not know how to answer people coming up to her asking how much longer and in my eyes very poorly trained. She also was smiling and laughing and being very rude. My husband and I really wanted to try this place out but after dealing with the lack of professionalism and lack of care for their patrons' time we will not be back. A hostess should not tell customers that the wait time will be 20-30 when it ends up being longer than an hour and 15 minutes period. Unacceptable and she could have come up and said hey we are really sorry can we offer your children a soft drink, water anything. Then after my husband and I told her forget about our name being on the list bc they clearly have no idea what is going on the manager tried coming up and not sure she is even trained to help with customers bc she could really care less that her hostess is not doing her job correctly. The management should be training the front staff on how to determine times. The whole place seemed off and again I get it was a busy weekend but that is not an excuse.
