Who doesn't like a good soft serve? This spot can be popping at times, but it has self service kiosks that makes everything super efficient. Be sure to check out their instagram to see the flavors of the week! I haven't had a flavor here that I didn't like.

This little ice-cream shop is known for their creative menu items. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The building does not have a seated area inside, but you can stand and eat inside at a long high table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I used the kiosk to place my order and it came shortly after. There isn't anything more to it.

Yum! We got an ice cream with taiyaki and it came with a delicious Nutella filling, which I paired with a Biscoff cookie crumble. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very clean and open![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Very easy to use the ordering tablets. Will be back!

I ordered the red bean and black sesame taiyaki, and it was delicious! The taiyaki is fish shaped, and served hot and fresh! The filling of the red bean and black sesame goes so well with the fish waffle. The staff was very quick and friendly! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only thing I would say is that the store only has tables and no actual seats so you can't sit inside to enjoy unless you eat standing up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It would be nice to have seating inside, but it feels more like a to-go place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, there are some benches outside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here for the Upsidedown taiyaki + soft serve in a cup! I got soft serve matcha/ube in a cup for the win. It was perfect on a hot afternoon day. The flavors of soft serve and made to order taiyaki is amazing. It was nice there were two kiosks where you could put in your order. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only not-so-pleasant part of the experience was the tight spacing and standing room only while you're waiting for your order.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I haven't tried to many Korean desserts, so after having lunch I searched the area and decided to give Somi a try. I kept my first time order pretty simple, trying the Ahboong which is a fish shaped waffle cone with milk flavored soft serve topped with oreo and fruity pebbles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of Somi is not very large and there is no seating so it's really grab and go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I enjoyed the fish waffle, it was soft and chewy and had a slight crisp on the edges. I really liked the milk soft serve as well it was light, creamy and taste like a mild vanilla ice cream. Overall, I enjoyed Somi and would return to try the other menu items.

Matcha Uber, custard waffle, cotton candy and Graham Cracker toppings. YUM

This business was featured in the Frisco travel book. I rarely eat ice cream. Had spouse drive over here after eating and In -n-out and shopping. The fish waffle comes with your soft serve combo. You pick soft serve flavor, I chose matcha Ube, you choose a flavor for fish waffle cone, I chose custard, then toppings. I chose cotton candy( think it was nerds) and Graham Cracker. I took a photo before eating and kept the cool spoon. This is Korean ice cream. Yummy! Spouse even liked the custard fish and ice cream. Definitely stop in if you get a chance! Review 14 in 2025.

My brother wanted to get Somi Somi after his graduation and we barely made it before closing. My brother, mom, and grandparents each got their icecream with a taiyaki on top. I ordered 2 pieces of taiyaki, one custard and one black sesame. However, they forgot to make my order and were starting to clean up to close the place. I had to remind them of our order and in return they made me a double order so I got 4 pieces instead. The taiyaki were warm and crispy on the outside yet fluffy and creamy from the custard within. I only got to try the custard taiyaki since my family all took one to try but I was told the black sesame one was good as well! They also have other filling flavors such as Nutella, red bean, matcha, and Oreo

Stopped in yesterday, easy to order with the screen they have. I ordered the coffee with soft serve and it was delicious! I am tempted to stop back in soon just for that. I did not order anything else this trip but the smell was amazing, and I def want to stop back in.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute place.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was quick, the ice cream was smooth and tasty! I got cookies and cream with an Oreo topping and it was great. And the fish cone made it so much better. I can't wait to visit again.

    Ube Ice Cream
    Laura W.

Went on a Sunday afternoon afternoon fortunately no lines. Loved the ube flavored ice cream in a cup and topped with toasted coconut crunch bits. Price is fair for the amount of ice cream you get! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Standing only but not really a space issue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Most people are in and out very quickly. If I had more room, would have gotten the Taiyaki on top. My friend loved this flavor as well.

There are so many options that you'll want to come back just to try more of them. The Korean fried chicken was cooked to perfection--crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sauces paired with it were just as impressive and really took it to the next level. The main entrées were equally outstanding: generous portions, incredibly filling, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice and flavor. The service was excellent from start to finish. The staff was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the wide variety of menu options, which made ordering much easier for first-time visitors. The atmosphere was another highlight. The restaurant is spacious, comfortable, and has a really cool vibe with its bench-style seating, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. Overall, this is an easy 10/10. Amazing food, outstanding service, and a fun atmosphere. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu!

The food was extremely delicious. Gen K BBQ is officially my new favourite K bbq spot. The staff there are also extremely hospitable. There was something I ordered on the menu that they didn't have and the manager came to apologize and let us order 2 items from their premium menu to say sorry. And our server Benny? LOVED HIM! Benny if you see this, you is smart, you is appreciated, you is funny and you is kind. Benny brought a huge smile on my face everytime he came to our table and even gave us a nice deal on drinks. The place was clean and ambiance was great too! 10000/10 experience and definitely the best dine in experience I've ever had. This is my new favourite spot.

Sometimes he was nowhere to be seen or circling around in the kitchen looking frantic and lost. We struggled to get his attention and it felt like he avoided our table.. suffice to say service was just terrible. We waited almost 15min just to get our check. The food at Gen isn't anything special, but I suppose for the price, it's ok. The rice is mushy with almost zero texture. Idk how they can serve that. This was our third time here and it has just confirmed for us that we would rather drive out further to Carrolton to get our Korean Bbq fix.

The ambiance is okay and unfortunately the restrooms were poorly maintained and smelled bad. Overall the food was just average. The fried pork was not seasoned well, and didn't taste great despite being fried and obviously unhealthy. The black bean noodles were okay and very unidimensional. The noodles did have a good texture and chew. The spicy seafood noodles was also lacking depth of flavor, and it was very underwhelming. My diagnosis: average food with good service.

The servers were kind and hustling nonstop. That said, it looked like they were a bit understaffed for a Saturday lunch rush -- only two employees were handling seating, orders, drinks, and checkout for the whole restaurant. Still, they did their best, and it showed. I tipped generously - well deserved. Ambiance: Clean, nicely decorated, and a fair size space. My party of five was seated quickly with no issues. Food: Unfortunately, this is where things fell flat. The jja jang myun noodles texture and chew were great, but the sauce was underwhelming and lacked depth. The jjampong portion was huge (great value!), but it too was on the bland side -- missing that rich, spicy seafood flavor I was hoping for. The sweet and sour fried pork was just okay, nothing memorable. Overall, Dong Bo Sung is fine if you're nearby and craving this type of cuisine -- you'll definitely leave full -- but for me, it didn't quite hit the mark. I'm a bit spoiled by Paik's Noodle, so this one lands at a solid 3 out of 5.
