We don't prefer warm temp ice cream that melts immediately when you have no inside seating available and have to eat melting IC in 95' weather. I believe BR compensates for their wonderful icy cold scoops by upping their flavor profiles to make them more pronounced and delicious! It just still happens that there was a portion of the wall where there were green columns of individually wrapped chocolate pieces, as well as a pink column. Being that my little one ordered a Matcha and strawberry gelato, those two colors were swirl and it made for a perfect picture. So, this was my first visit there. I didn't know what to expect. I definitely didn't expect to have to decide on whether or not I wanted my gelato cup to be covered with any sort of special toppings. And that I would have to pay for it before I really decided on what I wanted. So, this was kind of how my visit went. We got in line. I was then asked to pay for whatever size gelato it was that I was going to order. Personally, I had not decided yet if I wanted to purchase gelato for myself or if it would just be before my little one. So, I just paid for the one. During the time that I was paying, that was when my little one was allowed to sample any flavors that they wanted. But also, that is when the employee asked me if I wanted any crushed up toppings on the bottom of my cup of gelato. I think one of the toppings was like crushed up cookies. I'm not entirely sure. I just felt so rushed and confused. I decided not to get any toppings on the inside of my cup. What if I got something that totally did not go with that? I didn't want to be stuck with it. But, like I said, a lot of this transaction just felt very backwards to me. They have some awesome flavors and from what I understand, they will rotate periodically. Outside there's a lot of nice sitting area available. Unfortunately, when I was there, all of the seating area that was available was in the direct sunlight. I kind of felt like the whole process rubbed me the wrong way because I felt a bit irritated when I left. The gentleman who helped me with the actual gelato order was very friendly. He encouraged us to try different gelato flavors. I'm glad we did. My little one was so thrilled with her selection. I will admit, had I not been forced to pay for the gelato order first before ordering anything, I think I probably would have ordered something for myself. Initially, I had told my little one that we might share one order. We visited the Pasadena location just two days ago, and the kids' size was generously filled. Today we went to the Glendale location, and the kids' scoop was only about half the amount we received in Pasadena. I don't understand why there's such a big difference when it's the same menu item and the same price. Because of this inconsistency, I'd recommend the Pasadena location over the Glendale one.

There was one party ahead of us and another couple behind in line. Instead of serving customers in the order they arrived, the worker appeared to purposely skip over us and served the couple behind us. After waiting and realizing we were purposely ignored, we decided to leave. The place was not busy at all so this was not an oversight. As someone who grew up in Burbank, I'm especially disappointed to have this kind of experience in the community. Customer service and treating people fairly should be basic expectations. I'll be advising all my friends and family in the area to take their business elsewhere. Hopefully management takes this feedback seriously, because no customer should have to feel ignored or intentionally skipped while waiting in line to give them business.
