This is probably the worst Sonic I have been to. Service was the slowest I have ever had (40 minutes to get our food), the food was cold, and they didn't get the order correct. Sonic is usually pretty good about getting the food out to customers, but this Sonic was horrible. When my husband opened the bag on the ride home he noticed the hamburgers were cold and so were the tots. We didn't even want to waste anymore time with Sonic, so we had to heat the food up when we go home for the kiddos. Don't waste your time going to the Sonic our in Canyon Lake. read more

You really roll the dice when you come to this Sonic. I'm giving this 2 stars because we still go here somewhat regularly. They typically do ok on the food, but the drinks and ice creams... AAAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHHHH!!! Twice I've made a five piece drink order and they've forgotten one. There's a 50% chance they're going to screw up our cream slushes or custard or whatever. There just seems to be a laziness at this place. Literally 5 times out of 10 it's either not mixed or wrong. Twice I ordered a snickers concrete and both times they just dumped some snickers on top and didn't mix anything. Multiple times I've ordered ice cream slushes with nerds and the candy is either dumped on top, or the ice cream and slush aren't mixed, just in 2 layers. You really do run a 50/50 risk of not getting what you ordered, especially if you order more than a soda and burger. Good luck! read more

Bad service from a nice young lady. Tots are really bad. Burger was pretty great. I very plainly stated my order. With the engine off in quiet environment. She got every part of it wrong, though it was just a number 4 with tots and a large diet cherry coke. First she put just large tots and cherry limeade on the screen. After much discussion she got it mostly right and rather than change the drink I just took what she punched in for me. Fair enough. And I pushed the button five times at first. The prompt would go away and then the prompt telling me to press the button would come back on. So she was silencing the alarm inside I guess and then not taking my order? Wow. The bad service drops the place 1.5 stars and the tots are the worst I've had. Disgusting. Chewy and overdone or old and over salted. Tots drop the place 2.5 stars. They get one star. Sorry Sonic. One word, AWFUL! Went to this location for the first time a month ago, and it took over 20 minutes for 2 kids meals and a combo, and the quality of the food was sub par at best. Giving it another chance, went for the 2nd (and last) time this evening for the same order, 2 kids meals and a combo, and it was a disaster. Order was wrong and food was lukewarm to start. Fries tasted and looked like they'd been sitting out all day. By the time they "corrected" the order, all the food was cold and they still forgot part of the order! No offer for ketchup or other condiments. No straws in the bag. Asked for the manager, asked him if he was aware how terrible the reviews were for his store and he said, "Yes." Wow! I've been to Sonic a lot during covid and during the first couple months they were doing amazing! However the past month or 2 has been a nightmare. They rush taking my order or they are not bagging all of my food. I have had to go back 3 times to get food that was missing which is usually only the sides. And other times I feel the kitchen is rushing to make food and they make it incorrectly. I'm allergic to tomatoes and I say it every time I order but they put them on Everytime anyway and have to get it remade... I don't know if it's new staff or stress but I know they can be amazing! One star is the absolute best I can do! I'm one of those customers that "NEVER", complain! I completely understand running a business (because I have a business) and I understand mistakes! But this visit was absolutely terrible! Now that I see the other reviews, I understand I'm not alone! My best friend and I (both around age 40) pulled up too the drive-thru! We sat in the drive-thru for 25 minutes and was never acknowledged on the speaker! So a little frustrated, I pulled into slot 18! I pushed the button and in about 5 minutes a guy took our order! We sat in slot #18 for over 45 minutes! So In all..... we had been at the Sonic for approximately 1 hour & 15 minutes at this point!!! After waiting 45 additional minutes after placing our order, I reached out again too press the red button too find out where our food was! I was told they got confused and sent our food too another customer...In a different slot! So frustrated I ordered yet again! I waited 15 minutes ( I felt that was plenty of time & fair) After waiting approximately 2 hours in all....I finally pulled up too the drive-thru window! Only too have some girl trying to cut my complaint off by continuing to shut the drive thru window in my face, without letting me finish what I was saying! Very, very rude and so unprofessional! So for the 3rd time trying to order yet again....they asked me too pull up & they would bring my food out! When the guy brought my cold food, I was told they thought I had drove off! Um I informed the employee, I had been setting in slot 18 for the whole time going on 2 hours!!!! So his excuse wasn't valid! Then after waiting for over approximately 2 hours....when they finally brought our food, it was cold, half the meal was missing & no condiments I asked for 3 times........when I ordered our food! When the kid finally brought us the rest of the order after all that....they gave me about half a bag of ketchup & mustard....it was there way of being a smart a$$! Mind you, people are burning out of the parking lot left and right, mad! I told the guy that brought the food...that Sonic has too be the easiest job ever and if they can't serve people any better than that....I told him I really feel sorry for the world! I told him that if I owned that Sonic I would fire everyone of the employees there! What a experience!!! 2 hours for a cold corny dog! Wow! I'm removing a star from my last review. I said we wouldn't go back but leaving the lake at 9 at night with hungry kids, what are you gonna do. NOT GO TO THIS SONIC IS WHAT YOU DO! As another reviewer said," AVOID THIS SONIC AT ALL COSTS". I ordered a chicken club sandwich amongst other items for the fam. It took 25 minutes to get our food and after all that the chicken was still raw in the middle! Hey owner or manger of this location, do you even care that your place gets one star and serves awful food compare to pretty much every other Sonic on the planet? I guess folks coming off the lake are so desperate for a quick meal, that your business isn't hurting but jeez, it's ridiculous how bad your location is. Quit ignoring it. This Sonic seems like a good choice after a day on the lake, but AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We went through the drive thru and finally placed an order after being told "can you give me a minute" 3 times. After 10 minutes of waiting to order we finally order and get out food, then we realized we were missing a burger. We tried to pull into one of the stalls to ask for our missing burger, but the lady who answered was in such a hurry that she couldn't be bothered to listen to what we were saying. After she rang us up for the incorrect item we decided to try the drive thru again. Unfortunately the same lady answered the drive thru and said "if you stayed where you were you have gotten your burger already". After showing restraint and driving off we pulled up front where one of the workers brought us out the incorrect burger that the lady rang up and then asked us to pay for it. When we showed him our original receipt and explained the situation he acted confused, said okay and walked away. WE WILL NEVER BE BACK TO THIS LOCATION. We stopped in to get two drinks, pulled into the stall, ordered, paid. We waited 20 minutes and the hit the button to see what was going on. Right when we hit the button a passing employee stopped. We explained what we ordered and his response was, "Not to be rude, but I would just go across the street to get some Arizona teas from the gas station. That's what I like" and walked away. At that time someone came on the speaker to "take our order" we explained what we had ordered twenty minutes before and we thought the employee we just spoke to was checking on it. There was a long pause and the employee on the speaker said, " So what do you need?" We explained again and there was no response. 3 minutes later another employee came to our stall and asked, "So what going on?" We explained for the fourth time and her response was, "Did you pay for it?". We explained we did and she said "ok". Our drinks finally came out 5 more minutes later carried by the "Arizona tea" guy. We thanked him and he said nothing, offered nothing (like napkins) and walked away. 37 minutes to get two drinks. And not one single simple, "I'm sorry about that". Truly the most horrible customer experience. My expectations were not super high. I know it's just a fast food chain, but it was really bad, even for fast food.
