I dislike coming to this Sonic's location, but it's the only one close to my house. They take way too long to come out with your food after you order. If I could give a 0 star I would. Past two times eating from this location the service is horrible, management is non-existent and food is horrible. Ordered 2 shakes, 2 double cb large combos, and a kids meal through the drive-thru. Live only 7 min away and food was so cold, drinks were wrong including sweet tea had so much sugar in it that a layer of sugar was on the bottom, which was non-drinkable. Called after realizing the bad quality and incorrect order. Spoke with a young girl that made the excuse she was busy and didn't know where the new manager was. I asked for her name and she hung the phone up. Called back and she had placed all calls to voicemail but mailbox was full. Also had 2 "be my guest" cards for a previously terrible order I had received and literally was told nobody knew how to process them--come back tomorrow. Called corporate and spoke with a guy named Adrien. Took my complaint with no apology or concern and said I would be contacted. Spent $32 for slop that we could not eat but fortunately we had ordered 2 milkshakes so we made those our dinner. Along with all this, I ordered the kids meal and grilled cheese was not toasted at all. Melted cheese slapped together on 2 pieces of bread. No toy was given for my toddler. Most horrible service, food and money down the drain. I am hoping someone will get in touch with me because I do not like flushing money down the drain. Never will I ever go to this Sonic or any other Sonic. I am pursuing in having my money refunded, though. Gave this store a chance and it failed tremendously. Don't go to the walk-in. I couldn't finish my order before she told me a total and when the food was brought out I was missing half of my order. After that portion was fixed, they brought my friend's order (the exact same thing as me) and he paid two dollars less for the exact same thing. They continued to mess up multiple orders as others ordered food and the staff seemed to have no idea of what was going. Terrible. Makes my glass cutters itch. read more

The food was decent for fast food. The burgers were overcooked, but all fast food joints do that. No pink! The tater tots were saltier than I prefer, but edible. The service was quick and friendly. This is my second and last time attempting a milk shake here. They give you a spoon instead of a straw. The straws they do have are soda straws that are thin and flimsy and collapse when you drink out of them. They need thick, wide, milkshake straws. If I wanted ice cream, then I would get ice cream and eat it with a spoon. I want to drink a milk shake out of a straw, not a pipe cleaner. read more

I had the worst experience her today. My friend and myself ordered 2 meals with 2 hotdogs on the side. We asked for extra condiments and such and when our food arrived we didnt get any at all. Then the screen was acting up so the young lady had to take my card inside to pay for my purchase. She comes back outside and tells me that my card is declined, and i knew i had funds on my card. So i gave her cash, and she brings my change back. When i get to work and check my account balance, i notice that the monies was taken off my card. So before i dispute the charges i called this location several times and i keep getting an automated messenger and this location is clearly open for another 45 minutes. I called the other location in charlotte and the manager was able to speak with me and give me the district managers email address and she also forwarded a message for me so we could get this straightened out. I am at awe over the fact that they charged my card and then told me it was declined and i can clearly see they have taken the money. Also as i sat there i watched a guy on a 4 wheeler do a drug transaction to another guy in an suv and there was an employee standing outside smoking a cigarette watching. THIRTY minutes in drive thru on a Tuesday night. Slowest service ever received at any Sonic.

Worthless drive thru. I pulled in to the drive thru wanting only a slush during happy hour. I ordered one and the guy says "sorry our slush machine is down but i can offer you a half price shake", so i said sure and ordered a medium chocolate shake. I pulled around and had 2 cars in front of me which quickly reduced to one car ahead of me. Then i sat there for at least 5 minutes before finally just driving off. During that 5 minutes, the car ahead of me had at least two things handed to them but i assume it wasn't their entire order since they were still sitting there. Meanwhile, the rest of the drive thru lane had backed up to the speaker box. So since the guy at the window obviously wasn't taking or giving orders, what did he decide to do with his free time on the clock? Chat it up with other employees, mill around, and take sips of his drink as i could see through the glass door of the building. Meanwhile my shake was probably turning to liquid and all the customers in line paying that employees's check were probably getting as fed up as i was. Evidently nobody at the store got the bright idea to send a carhop out to the people waiting in the drive thru line. I mean it's not like Sonic doesn't do that on a regular basis anyway, right? Especially for the people that were only waiting on ONE (1) item that is not time consuming to prepare. Or maybe they could have even told the car waiting at the window to pull up and park somewhere and then send a carhop out to that car? I mean it's not like Sonic never does that anyway, right? If i go through a drive thru somewhere it's because i want it to be speedy. If i wanted to sit there and wait i would have pulled into a parking spot to order. Stopped here for lunch one day and left 15 minutes later. No one answered the intercom after I pressed the button. I kept noticing a guy run in and out of the kitchen laughing and joking with the staff. He wasnt any employee cause all he had on was a tank top, gym shorts and ear buds. Apparently he spilled something cause an employee called him back in and made him squeegee what looked like milk to the floor drain. I've been coming to this sonic for YEARS without problems. They advertise a morning drink special between the hours of 8-10am. On a Tuesday I went and got a large ice coffee for $1.49 as part of their special. On Thursday I go back and order the same thing. Different price. Lady named Darlene at the window informs me that they are no longer running the promotion- seems weird but I don't have time to argue as I was on my way to work. I come back that evening. Take a look at the menu. Special is still advertised. Speak with a rude gentleman who informs me they are no longer running the special and I'd have to come back in the morning to get a refund. I asked why it's still listed on the menu.."because we haven't changed it .." I asked how was a customer supposed to know they aren't running the promotion if it's still listed on the menu "...they tell you when you get to the window." I told him that was unacceptable and that they have to honor prices listed on the menu. He tells me I have to take it up with the morning crew. I ask for someone above him and a different guy comes back with a dollar and some change. Honestly it's just a dollar and cheap ass fast food but this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I plan on contacting corporate and probably never going back again. read more
