I visited sonics in Milford last night and was treated so poorly. I have never felt so disrespected in a place of business before in my life. Not only did I wait in the drive in for 20 minutes before I finally went to the drive thru to try to get my food. When I did, D'erby told me it was not her "f*cking" job to take my money. That it was the other persons problem. 5 mins later I Finally got my change back. When I express my complaint and told the manager Jerald that I would never return he gave me a weird smirk like he could care less. The service at this location just gets worse every time. The drive thru is supposed to be open til 12. I was there at 11. It took 10 minutes for them to get their shit together. The staff there last night do not deserve a raise of any kind. I wanted a bacon,egg and cheese wrap (burrito). I asked them to put mild salsa on it and ranch dressing on the side. It was simple but I had to explain it 5 times and they still looked at me like I asked them to build me a time machine! I finally thought to myself that if I had to explain my simple order to them 5 times then it's a great probability that they'll screw up my order! So I told the guy never mind-forget it. I'm fine. Congratulations!!!! You just made the top spot on the worst fast food dinning experience I've ever had. Seen Sonic commercials for many years, but never have been. The chain just hasn't been in New England area till recently. So when I saw this in my travels I just had to try. This is a new location so you would think everything would be in working order. Right off the bat the menu video boards weren't working. You had to look at a small tattered paper menu. The employee behind the counter was very nice and helpful. This is most positive thing I can say about my first and last time here. I got my order the double cheese burger with all the fixings. The tiny burger patties were way overcooked. The bun was so old and stale that it had a crunchy outer "shell" that turned me off right away. The worst fast food burger I've ever had in my life. The chili tater tots were ok. How can you screw up deep fried frozen potatoes with canned chili on top. The worst part of my experience was the staff in the back seem to be having a ball. They obviously aren't paying attention to the food going out. If I was the manager I would fire everyone in the back of that location. .... my boyfriend and I were told to hold on upon arrival at the drive thru. 5 minutes go by... 10 minutes go by. Cars are piling up behind us, the poor parents two cars behind us with screaming hungry children. The girl comes over the intercom finally and we had to repeat our order to her at least 3 times. We pull up to the window. There are at least 6 people working and no one dining in! They were all messing around and gave us attitude. The girl spilled my soda on me and continued to ask us what we ordered. This whole ordeal lasted 25 minutes. 25 minutes for fast food in an empty drive thru. We were extremely upset. The best part is there were NO apologies. I have worked in food service for almost 10 years now. I am all for support of my fellow restaurant workers but this was really really bad. My experience here was fine. We went at about 8PM after the dinner rush so it wasn't crazy busy. Once we finally figured out what we wanted, I pushed the button and waited only a minute or two. The girl who took the order struggled a little bit. It took a few tries/repeating just to get 4 meals correct so make sure they read it back to you. Only one item ended up being wrong (got a large instead of a medium) so no big deal there. I would go back but definitely not when it's super busy. Horrible! I went today with my brother for lunch, as Sonic is his favorite, and I received a frozen cheeseburger! The outside of the burger was cold, and the inside was completely frozen! I bit into this, and immediately vomited. The girl came out and brought me another one, but I was so disgusted by this incident, I could not eat it. The attitude I received after asking for napkins since they were not in the bag was unacceptable. This was my third time at this Sonic, and every visit was subpar service. The slushies and mozzarella sticks are great but the rest of the experience here was pretty terrible. My husband had never been to a Sonic before so I was excited for him to experience it. We were sitting in the order port for 10 minutes before someone from inside the restaurant came over the speaker to tell us to go to the drive thru. Then we waited another 10 minutes to have our order taken. When we finally got up to window it was another 5 minutes. The employee threw my card back at me rather than hand it to me. Food isn't too bad. Nothing spectacular. Biggest draw to me is the drinks - can't go wrong with the cherry limeade. The real fruit slush has real fruit pieces. The service is slow. We stopped by today and while it wasn't super busy I felt we waited in the drive thru line longer than necessary. If you go - don't have high expectations. The dining area and restrooms were filthy the floors covered in trash an grease, the tables and seats are sticky. The counter is left unattended you can hear the staff socializing in the back, when the counter person does come out they are friendly. I'm afraid to know the state of cleanliness in the food prep areas. A shame really the food is good, also complaining to the corporate offices via the website is a waste of time I looked in to see if this location cleaned up but they didn't. read more

Well....the first time we placed an order with Sonic, my sister came home with the wrong order, and it contained a lot of fried foods. They did give us our money back the next day, but our fun evening was ruined. The second time just I went, I was excited to order a philly cheesesteak, because I cannot get a good one in Milford. I was extremely disappointed, it was a nothing sandwich, not many onions, the 'steak' was thin and like cardboard, and I literally only got TWO bites of cheese. Wow, never again! The third time I got a hot dog. Hard to mess that up, and it was actually very good, and stayed warm until I got home in the special packaging. So, the 2 stars are for the hot dog, and that's all I can say about it, so far. Update: So I had a hankering for some chicken strips, and thought, let me try this crunchy chicken dinner...it comes with fries and one onion ring. To my surprise, when I opened the box, there were 2 pieces of soggy toast! Odd. I bit into the chicken strip, and it was very dry and tasteless! Somewhat hard coating around them, too. I had ordered the bar-b-que dipping sauce, and along with added salt, it made them taste like something...but not something I'd pay $8.50 for! I would have done better at McDonald's. As for the onion ring, terrible, it had a weird, sweet taste to the batter, and I threw it out after two bites. The fries were just eh. The only thing that was kind of alright, was the iced tea. Apparently they serve brewed, unsweetened iced tea, and it was great, though a bit weak, especially as the ice melts. To top off the whole mess, the young woman who took my order was impatient, spoke too fast, and was hard to understand, and when I asked her what she said, she got huffy. To be fair, I have gotten some very friendly help there, so guess I just got a bad one. Summing up my reviews from last year, and today, I would say that there is not a lot I'm happy about, with Sonic...but again, the hot dogs are pretty good, especially the Chicago dog, and the jalapeno cheddar bites are good. read more

So we went to the drive thru instead and placed our order within a few minutes. We both had cheeseburgers - terrible. A poor rendition of a Burger King whopper (and BK is better!) where the meat was rubbery and the burger dry. also had an all American dog which was a water logged hot dog with mustard, ketchup and relish- terrible. I see people saying this place is like Burger King with 5 Guys prices. I wouldn't even put Sonic in the same category as Burge King. I don't like burger king but would chose a burger king burger over one from Sonic any day. I have had the burgers, fries, tots, hot dogs and drinks. I can honestly say the only that was enjoyable were the drinks. The burgers I have gotten have been so dry that I couldn't even finish it (probably cooked a freezer burned meat patty). I do like the corn dogs but as with any of their hot dogs I feel I need a gallon of water after the amount of salt from them (yes I know hot dogs are normally salty...but Sonic's just taste more salty than normal). The slushes and limeades are pretty good. The strawberry shake had to be my favorite. Never been inside or ordered from the car ports, only drive thru. And every time no matter what I order...one corn dog or one beverage it takes at least 10 min even if I'm the only one there. read more

Now when it comes to math they rock, my order came to $11.78 and I gave them $12 they gave me .80 cents talk about a deal. This is 100% the worst service I've ever received in my life. The employees were so rude and disrespectful to me and my friends. You will be dissatisfied with your experience. The establishment lost my friends credit card and after about 5 minutes of the employee looking for it, HE LEFT. After sitting in the car for an hour waiting for some kind of information about the card, we received none. We then entered the building to ask for an update on the lost card. We were then treated so disrespectfully and the manager couldn't even help us and showed no empathy. He is one of the rudest men I've ever met. So i placed an order at sonic at 9:45 thru the mobil app. i then arrived to check in at the stall for my food. upon my arrival the app told me my payment could not be processed, cool no problem i'll pay when i get there. i pressed the red button to say i need help as the app told me to. i wanted until 9:57 before i walked inside to see what the hold up was since no one had answered the red button. when i got inside i explained to both cashier and manager ( Shev ) on duty my issue. she explained to me that they didn't receive the order. so i replaced my order inside. i waited until 10:22 before she came back out and asked " You didn't get your food yet ? " YEAH I GOT IT IM JUST HANGING OUT. NOOOOOOO i have not gotten my food. she then went to the back and poof magic my order comes out. i usually only get drinks from sonic and have never had an issue i can definitely see why i was told NOT to eat at this location. it's disappointing that i have to give atleast one star for a review. the lights outside were not on. carhop you could not see. it's just disgusting how the place looked inside. smfh get it together sonic read more

This was the worst Sonic I have ever seen. I was traveling through town with my husband and some other friends and we were looking forward to eating at Sonic, as we do not have one where we live. We actually drove out of our way to go to this one. First of all, we drove up to one of the stalls and no one ever answered after we called them. Then we decided to go inside. It was freezing inside. It seemed there was no heat on at all. After a few minutes, someone came from the back to take our order. The ordering process went ok, but then we went out to the dining area and it was disgusting. We had to look for a table that didn't have dried crap on it. We waited it out to see what was going to happen with our food. One order was a breakfast item that wasn't recognizable as a breakfast item. After ordering a Frozen Limeade, we were then told the machine wasn't clean. The rest of the food was mediocre at best. This place needs shut down or new management. If this place were in New York City, it would clearly have a terrible rating posting on the door so we wouldn't have to make the mistake of even going there. read more

Eventually it just went back to the beginning screen where it said to press the red button. This time when we pressed it someone answered immediately and we started ordering. We got through one drink and the person said i will be with you soon please hold on. About one minute later he came back and we finished our order. It was only 2 shakes so we expected it to be out quick. Ten minutes later and the drinks still are not there yet. The person next to us got here after us and ordered food and he has already finished his food and gone. We pressed the button again to ask where it was and someone came out and took our order again. After 5 minutes the manager came out and gave us our drinks for free and that is the only reason that this is 2 stars and not 1. About 30 minutes total to get 2 drinks. read more
