We go every week and found out yesterday the Chicago dog is gone. No need to go back. Very disappointed!

This review is coming from someone who grew up in Louisiana and frequently visited Sonic's in all the surrounding states. This sonic is TERRIBLE. It's a real shame to the sonic name. We didn't order over the screen/kiosk, instead someone came out and took our order on a cardboard box. She seemed like she either had a lot on her mind or was extremely overworked. She took our order- did not repeat back and we got no confirmation of it. She proceeded inside then the total popped up on our screen/kiosk for us to pay. It took awhile to get our food and it was wrong. What she input was not correct. The sizes were incorrect, the sauce on the chicken was incorrect. The food was all around terrible and so was my cherry limeade. I would say this mess up was hit or miss but obv not based on these reviews. I am also unsure what the problem is as there was MANY employees there. When we first arrived there was about 5 employees outside chilling and others were inside working. Before we got our food they had all went inside and there still seemed to be a back up there. Overall, stay away. This sonic sucks! If you are ever in Louisiana/Mississippi/Arkansas, give Sonic a try! read more

This is the best Sonic's. Fast food, professionalism, service in a timely manner and food is great. Only once did they ever mess up my drink and someone came out less than 2 minutes to replace my drink for me. Very kind place. People working here are college students. read more

I only get the frozen drinks here, the service is sooooo sloooowwww. Not sure how they are still in business, you could be the only one in the drive thru and you would still have to wait, its a great atmosphere if you love peace and quiet because it doesn't look like anyone is working. But wait theres more, already pulled up an a car is waiting in front of you, triple the amount of excess time just to even get up and order, not sure who is running the show but the organization of time may need to be addressed. ?? Waited 20 minutes in the car park. And employee asked us to wait to order food 3 times and never actually took out order. Cars came and left and we were still waiting. Decided to update my review but they don't allow zero stars. This place continues to disappoint. I honestly don't know why I return. I order through the app so that it speeds up the process but service is awful. There is a sign that states we are under staffed so please be considerate. I get it. All places are understaffed. It's the service that disappoints. Half of the employees strongly dislike their jobs. No smiles and just miserable. I feel bad for them. This place needs some TLC and employees that enjoy what they do. I've only had a couple that smile since my last review 4 years ago. Management needs to step up. read more

Hey Yelpers! First Visit: Wednesday, May27 Honestly so upset about my order. We waited about 20 minutes in the drive through for our order. Food: Very disappointed, I ordered an Oreo milkshake with Reese pieces, and cookie dough. My boyfriend ordering an Oreo cheesecake milkshake. We did not receive what we ordered at all! We both received plain Oreo shakes. Both shakes had very very light amount of Oreo pieces... I called to speak to the MOD, his name is MICHAEL. I explained what happened and he said to come back for two free shakes to make up for the mistakes. Second Visit: Saturday, May 30 We spoke to a lady at the window and explained that MICHAEL said we can come back for shakes. We ordered the same two shakes we wanted the first time (Shake with cookie dough, Oreo, and Reese Pieces, and then one Oreo cheesecake). The lady we spoke to was very nice before we mentioned what happened. Suddenly, a change of attitude when we requested our free shakes. We also ordered some food as well: mozzarella sticks with ranch and marinara, and wings. Shakes: Well at least they got the Oreo Cheesecake Shake right. My shake they did not get right once again. This time they gave me a shake with cookie dough and Reese cups. I specifically asked for Reese pieces, OREOS, and cookie dough. If they did not have Reese pieces, they should've informed me. There was absolutely NO OREOS in my shake at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED, will never be going back. Food: Food was warm and good. But they did not give us the marinara and ranch that we requested. Ordered Uber eats. I got the bacon breakfast burrito meal, the burrito was cold and seemed to be missing half the ingredients I have ordered this many times and it's usually 3x the size. The tots were excellent but only half full as was my cherry vanilla coke. I like Sonic and this location usually has really excellent quality food and service I hope this was a one time occurrence. read more

In the past, Sonic has been great. I happen to love me some fresh, hot tots. Add a corn dog and I am happy as heck. Today's visit went extremely the opposite. The tots were barely warm at all. The corn dog had obviously been re-cooked at least once and likely twice as it was more-or-less inedible. I had a few bites and tossed it in the garbage along with 75% of the tots in my order. My SO's hamburger wasn't made as requested and 90 minutes later, I find myself on the toilet with the runs. Obviously food poisoning. The signs posted all over the place mentioned that they are understaffed. They need better management and training. I'm not so sure I'll ever return. read more

If I could give a -10 star, I would. The service is the worst in ANY KIND OF BUSINESS I've ever encountered, and I'm 63 years old! The positive is I became very angry and complained to a "manager" who asked "how can we make this right for you?" I asked for an ice cream slushy and he said it was on the house. This is the second time I have been to this location and it's the worse BY FAR! The staff does not listen the quality of food/drinks is awful! That location is absolutely disgusting and filthy and should be shut down immediately!! Yesterday I went and got two items a LARGE slushy and Medium Reese's shake. When I got to the window I was given a small slush and when I asked if that was a small the girl at the window gave me a new one on my way home I notice that my shake had no Reese's cups in it so I had to drive back and get a new one. This place is run by children (I get it, it's fast food but train your staff accordingly!!) I will definitely be taking this complaint further because this place needs to be redone with the staffing TRASH TRASH TRASH!! read more

Every time I come to this sonic Katie brings my order out and she is the best. My friends and I ordered 4 separate orders to a stall one time and she brought each one out with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed each time. read more

They literally were incapable of getting my order correct. This is the 2nd time in a row I've been there that they messed up my order too. After I'd been there over half an hour, the supervisor refused to even speak with me about trying to make it right. All I wanted was a double cheeseburger with only cheese, lettuce, and tomato on it... Shouldn't have been that hard. The last time they tried to remake it I even handed the receipt back to them so they could see what it was supposed to be... And it was still wrong. And when my wife called they claimed they made it how it was on the receipt, but the receipt says it right, they just made it wrong... Again. How does a supervisor refuse to even speak to the customer at all in a situation like this??? At least corporate handled it well when I called and gave me coupons for a couple free things next time. Unfortunately to use them I'll have to drive 22 minutes each way to go to the next closest location, because after 2 experiences in a row of messed up orders, and their unbelievably bad customer service, no way am I ever going back to this location. read more

Last week I ordered items online that required a beverage tray for transporting. When I arrived for pickup I was advised that they were out of beverage trays. A week later I returned for a drive through order. After I placed my order I was told they were out of beverage trays. I cancelled my order. Is this problem bad management or is this Sonic closing ? Seems like there's a love/hate relationship between this place and its Yelp customers... First time I had sonic was actually while in Arizona. So this location is pretty typical. You pull into one of the stalls, check out the menu and push the button when you're ready to order. Food is then brought out to your car, but there's also a drive thru option. The kids working here were friendly. The food does take a few minutes to come out though. the food here is obviously oily and salty, like any fast food spot.. And their cheese burger reminded me a little of what you would get at jack in the box. I tried tasted my husbands chicken sandwich, and it was pretty good. A pretty large piece of breaded white meat chicken, a soft thick bun, bacon and everything else.. I'm a fan of their onion rings. Crunchy, it has a sweet taste to it. I've gotten their chili cheese tator tots, I like it too.. So yea, if you're feeling some old school food like the above mentioned, or hot dogs and corn dogs, this place is worth trying.. They also have milkshakes, Malts, slushies with a huge selection of flavors. I like getting a strawberry limeade slush. It's pretty sweet, but give it a little stir and a couple minutes to mellow out and it's pretty good. read more

My family and I Sonic yesterday and had a fantastic experience; while the wait was a little longer than I expected, I was almost overwhelmed with how friendly the service was. We were served by Noah, and we felt like we were dining in an actual restaurant. He checked in on us 3 times, offering us sauces, and even bringing out new drinks when our Coke tasted a little off. Service needs improvement we waited 27 minutes and no one took our order. It was around 9:30-10 and we went through the drive through. We pulled up to order and waited about 7 minutes then drove to the window thinking maybe it was broken the we told the woman working the window that we tried to order but no one was responding and she sighed and said just go wait at one of the parking spots and order there then and we asked if we could just order at the window and she she said no. We pulled up to the parking spot and pressed the order button. One car went both the drive through. Then another. We waited 15 minutes pressing the button twice and 7 cars went through the drive through. Are you joking? Keeping in mind the workers were sitting on the table outside. Maybe they were in break but once they got off they didn't even answer still. The woman could have just taken our order and we would have been on our way. 27 minutes was wasted and we just wanted Ice cream after a one day. So I've always wanted to go to Sonic because the commercials constantly lure me in. But it wasn't until today that I actually went to go try it. The cool thing about this place is that there is a parking lot with a menu and speaker box for each space - you could either eat in your car, or eat outside. No, there is no seating area inside the establishment, but that's what makes this place different! Also, it IS the "Sonic Drive-In". Anyway... You could order from the inside of your car to your own "personal" worker, and if you have card (only, I believe?) you can pay right then and there at the menu/speaker box that you just ordered from. In less than 5 minutes it probably was, the food was delivered by some guy on his rollerblades. He was really friendly. Another woman, shortly after, asked if anything was needed, as well. The food was amazing. A chili cheese dog with onion rings and a strawberry mango slush. It was inexpensive, too. By the way, that certain slush combination is to die for. The commercial always portrays these slushes as these perfect drinks, and they are, in fact, perfect. A trip well worth it! read more

I did not want to eat in my car because my car does not need anymore food crumbs than it already has So, I went to order at the talking box. She was friendly and smiley. The tator-tots were awesome. They were surprisingly light for a fried food. The outside were a light brown crunchy texture, while the inside were light and fluffy. Well, my review is a single star based on the fact that right now this is not really FAST food. Drove up there at 8:30pm and ran into the famous "staging area" and it was about 30-35 cars deep and was told it was about a 90 minute wait. Hrm. I don't think so. So, right now I can't review it on the food part until the hype dies down. read more
