I've eaten at other Sonny's before, and since I work close by I thought I would try this one... I wasn't disappointed. First off, this is on a delivery order, so I can't comment on the restaurant, but the food was very good... also, they provided plenty of utensils, napkins and wipes in the delivery bag. I ordered the BBQ salad with pulled pork. I also ordered the BBQ smoked wings. Both were well-seasoned and full of flavor. The salad base is your basic iceberg lettuce with shredded cheese, corn kernels and diced tomatoes. The ingredients were fresh and crisp. The pulled pork for the salad came in a separate container and was a generous portion along with onion rings. Great smoky flavor throughout and very tender. The mix of ranch dressing and a little of the mild BBQ sauce made for a great dressing. I like the smoked wings... didn't love them. They were slightly dry like they had been sitting out for a while. Still, they had a nice flavor and were very filling. I'd order from here again, or stop by when I have the time. Take out on January 26th 2026. A big deal pulled pork sandwich. Sonny's has always been good until this meal. No pulled pork, just end pieces and fat, like red they scraped the slicing plateee clean. Terrible . Baked potato was so dry the butter could not freshen it up. My iced tea had lemon, I didn't say no lemon. I could not drink it. Why didn't we return this epic meal? It took 15 minutes to get, I'm a diabetic and my sugar was falling. My wife wants to give them a second chance, I said no way! Off my list. read more

As a Sonny's customer for many years now, I have aways looked forward to their tasty barbecue. That is until I've noticed these past few months their quality of food has become increasingly sub-par. Both the pork AND chicken barbecue are riddled with fat and grizzle, their beef brisket has increased in price while the quality has suffered, and the taste of ALL their meats now resemble what I would think cardboard would taste like. And all to save a few dollars! Shameful! And this has become indicative of ALL Sonny's locations! The sweet tea is obviously made with the local mercury/bleach-laden well water, and their baked beans and other side offerings have little to no taste. Though I will say however their cornbread muffins are still quite delicious. While I have been loyal to Sonny's for a very long time, I think it's time to seek out other barbecue restaurants which favor quality over quantity. See ya, Sonny's. read more

Service from Marrisa D was spot on for a Saturday afternoon around 12:30 for a lunchtime visit. It seemed like Marrisa was taking care of our entire side of the restaurant but she was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. We had the smoked turkey with 2 sides ($15.29), the dark chicken with 2 sides ($15.99) and got $5 off 1 entree for signing up for their email club. The plates were full of food for the price and we had some leftover turkey slices to take home. Pet peave when it comes to sliced turkey, we don't like it when the slices are wet, like overly moist, and these slices were very wet. Chose this restaurant because it was nearby. Seated quickly. Clean restaurant. Efficient, friendly staff. I had a two meat plate with dry rubbed ribs and pulled pork. Both were delicious and good sized portions. Baked beans had chunks of meat - brisket, pork ? Who cares. It was really good. I loved the Mayo based coleslaw. The rest of our party ordered an array of appetizers to share. The Bbq corn dip was great. I didn't think that I would like a cold dip, but it was delicious with the homestyle potato chips. We also had the tater tots with brisket and onion strings-yum. We decided that the best appetizer was the BBQ egg rolls that had brisket, coleslaw, and pepper jack cheese with ranch dipping sauce. I waited 10 minutes in the curbside parking for someone to bring my food out. Finally had to go in myself. Wait at the counter for another three minutes before someone emerged to ask me what I needed. Once I finally got my food, I asked if there was something wrong with the notification system in the curbside parking and the girl said no I'm just busy. The food is good. The server was VERY good, it looked like she had a LOT of tables to cover all on her own and she was hustling the whole time, making sure everyone had what they needed. My only complaint is about the lack of a lunch menu and pricing. There is evidently only a main dinner menu with prices for that and you can order a "lunch" version (smaller, lower price) but the price shown on the menu is only for the dinners. As we pulled up we thought the building was beautiful for a chain. Inside it was equally nice and comfortable. We were quickly seated and assigned a charming and gracious server who made our dining experience wonderful. There are a number of ways you can order to satisfy your inner carnivore but we chose the combo Option. I had chicken, standard ribs and brisket along with sides of potato salad and baked beans. YUM! Everything was tender and juicy. My SO had the same except opted for Baby backs for an up charge of four dollars. He was happy with his meal too. Our female server who is a local was great to us. Sonny's BBQ gets a bad rap from a lot of people simply because it is a chain restaurant. Can you find better? Of course you can. I don't think even Sunny's would dispute that, but if you are looking for consistent experience, this could be a good choice. This particular location is conveniently located just off of Interstate 95. It offers good food the road weary travelers, as well as the locals. I guess I fell somewhere in the middle of these two groups as I was visiting a friend and we were just looking to grab a quick meal before I started heading home to Orlando. If you are not familiar with Sonny's BBQ, think something like an Applebee's, but where barbecue is the focus of the menu. Again, this is not meant to be an insult, but a reality. Sonny's BBQ is it corporate owned business it has multiple locations throughout the country. The menus designs to be consistent at the various locations and prepared in a way set the line Cooks can be consistent and they don't need an executive chef overseeing each location. I would definitely recommend to visit here, especially if you need something relatively fast and to get back on the highway. read more

This restaurant really impressed me. It's located in a weird location, in front of Home Depot on the right side. I almost missed the turn to drive in, luckily, I didn't. Upon driving up to the parking lot, I noticed that this location had a drive-thru (which I thought was really cool). Entering the restaurant I was extremely impressed with the upgrades this restaurant has made. I remember coming into the place when I was a little kid and it looks nothing like the original layout. Updated lighting fixtures, freshly cut wood cascading throughout the entry way into the dining room, the smell of Smokey bbq permeating throughout the restaurant. It's very neat, clean, and nicely decorated. There are cool little signs throughout, and nice big wooden tables to sit at. Makes you feel like you at your uncle's house, sitting outside on the picnic table, getting ready to eat a delicious bbq meal. The waitstaff was very friendly, Holly waited on us and she was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and very sweet. I love how she knew the menu, offered suggestions and even gave us a few sauces to take home with our to-go box. I had the half bbq chicken platter with corn bread, baked beans, and cole slaw. Really, really good! We also ordered the bbq ribs with sauce (original) with the exact same sides. Delicious!! I would highly recommend stopping by and trying a meal. Its been a long drive from Georgia, I needed to stop and reconnect with my feet. So, we decided to stop stretch the legs and eat up. They have take out and dine in. We were sat by a wonderful happy server, Justin. He was helpful with our menu choices. A delightful person and i needed his cheerful attitude, its been a long drive. The french fries, which arrived about halfway through the sandwich, had already be dusted with black pepper. Who does that? They were therefore inedible. The first ones come out and they are like warm with a few drizzles of sauce on top since it took so long for the first order we went ahead and place his reorder of ribs (my husband can eat ribs, which is why we came here to begin with) when they can there were just two and coke and the waitress said he was having a hard time finding more and getting them hot ( WTF) it is a rib and BBQ restaurant after all! So we placed the second order of ribs when they got there they were like warm and a note from the kitchen with BBQ sauce written sorry . They weren't warm or tasty just coke with a few drizzles of sauce. My daughter ordered the chopped pork before they ran out . Apparently not she got some kind of concoction of semi shredded and bits of chopped pork for her dinner . Mind you we have all been there before so we know what the food should Look like and taste like and this was not it. When I asked to speak to the manager she said well it's been a busy weekend with Father's Day and everything. I would have thought they would have thought of that when ordering their supplies again apparently not ! She went on to tell Me how everyone was exhausted and only running at 1/2 speed and they were out of a lot of items . I said great I'll only pay 1/2 of my bill since I'm buying dinner for everyone she got my point said she would take a look at our bill. She came back to me and said she would use the $5.00 coupon and take 20% off our bill that was the best she could do and her manager wasn't there but there wasn't much more than could be done . I was so embarrassed by the lack of food the temperature at which it came out at and how longgggggg it took to get. I was also kissed off that no know mentioned when I called that they were running low on ribs pork and chicken we would not have come ! When it came time for the check, that took another 15 minutes. The food was room temperature for waiting so long. As we were leaving, we heard a crash of plastic cups fall to the floor. Sonny's may be a chain restaurant but it's one of our favorite. We almost always have great service and the food is consistently good. Raven was are server tonight. She was not originally our server but she noticed we had been sitting quite a while with no service. She didn't hesitate to stop and help out. She was friendly and efficient. A couple of things I ordered were out but she offered alternatives. Since we are just recovering from a hurricane it was understandable for supples to be low. My hubby and I haven't been to a Sonnys in 25 years so on our way to move to Florida that was the first place we went When we got here. We weren't sure if it was going to be as good as it was 25 years ago. We were so happy to see the updated changes to the restaurant while keeping the food The same great quality and flavor that it was back then. The smoked chicken was incredibly delicious as was all of the same familiar barbecue sauces. The ribs were fantastic as well. I never eat beans but they are as have always been my favorite and they were still the same. Our server named Derek was an absolute pleasure. He made sure everything was as perfect as it was back then for us to experience. He was so accommodating and pleasant we couldn't ask for a better experience. We are moving to Delray Beach and hoping there is one close enough to us, if not we will be taking a ride up to Port Orange. I ordered online takeout tonight. It was a horrible experience. Had to wait over 40 minutes past when they said it would be done. They ran out of Mac n cheese and we had to substitute. There was also a further delay when they gave out ribs to another customer. The food was stone cold when I got home and the quality and taste was very poor. You catered a wedding reception in New Smyrna Beach Dec 4th 2021. Your chicken was under cooked, ribs were not done, your tenders were hard and the pork tasted funny. I placed an online order between 5:00 -5:15 pm, Friday, August 26th for two salads and a pickup time for 6pm. I arrived around 5:56pm gave the guy my name and he said it would be awhile because I had a lot of orders ahead of mine...Hmmm, I gave them 45 minutes to have it ready. He told me to wait in my car and would bring it out. I waited until 6:13pm, called then number spoke with someone different and said it wouldn't be ready until 6:35pm. Not only that I paid a 15% gratuity because online you pay first. This experience was horrible! I will never order from here ever again.
