Over priced greasy food and I found a hair which I told the owner/waiter about but he shrugged it off and said it wasn't any of his staff.. we also complained about how the sauce tasted like it went bad and he said that's how it supposed to be. This place is a hidden gem in Medford and glad I found it through Yelp. I was on a road trip from Oregon to California and was passing by Medford during the trip. I would highly recommend to give this place a try when you happen to be in Medford. During mid September, I was able to dine in with limited capacity. Similar with other reviews, they served really crispy Seafood jeon. In my opinion, they served one of the best korean seafood pancake compare to the one I had in the Bay Area. As for the beef tofu stew, the taste was on point and really good -- it had a really strong tofu stew taste which complements really well when eating with rice. The owner is very friendly and take good care of their customers while also maintaining social distance for each table. As for the price, it was pretty affordable. There's side parking available on the street, so it wasn't too hard to find parkings. read more

SooRah is an absolutely amazing gem in the Rogue Valley and I wish more people knew about them! The staff is kind and attentive and the food is great (warning on the authentic spicier side but they can make things less spicy if you ask). The kimchi fried rice is amazing, they make it vegetarian friendly for my partner and I. Their selection of Korean food is so rare here, and they do Japanese food super well also. From the Japanese curry to to soon tofu soups to japchae to sushi or katsu they're so good. Also a wide variety of drinks, and the ambience is pretty and pleasant with walking tour videos and nice music. Great local hidden treasure southern Oregon is so lucky to have. read more

We are on a toad trip and passing through. So glad to have found this place! They were very understaffed with the owner as the only person front of house, kitchen was backed up and slow. BUT service was great, owner was really nice and when the good finally did come, it was phenomenal! Really great stuff. Bibimbop isn't perfect but it's really good, the beef was stellar. The miso soup was to die for, pretty sure I gulped it down in a second or so. Kimchi was awesome as well. My favorite part was probably this big cup of iced coffee. I wish I finished it but I got so full. Really solid spot. The service was great too, they were always within a radius where we could ask for help when we needed it. I love the space the restaurant's in too, lots to look at and the architecture of this place is just awesome. Would absolutely go again. Bimbimbop! Try it.. comes with pickled sides. We both love it. We get Bimbimbop with tofu, and we both use a lot of the Korean spicy sauce and a bit of soy. Side dishes served with are usually different types of pickles. This time was pickled potato, pickled beet, kimchee, dried sardine, and pickled onion. We were lucky to be there during the winter Olympics and talk Korean culture with the owner. Cute, modern, clean, and great people. This place is a dream come true! It is an absolutely gorgeous restaurant. I went on a Sunday night and it had an amazing ambiance, perfect to enjoy a beer and relax. The service was quick and friendly and we did not have to wait long for our hot fresh food. I was surprised because it isn't easy to find vegan food like this that tastes so healthy and fresh while also being unique and authentic Korean cuisine. I love this place! Just the fact that I can get bibimbap is great. Then it comes out sizzling hot, with your choice of meat (I just had the spicy chicken today). Delicious. And the provided red sauce has just a bit of kick and a great tang to it. Ask for the chili oils if you need some more heat. Tempura is great as well. I've been coming here since they opened a few years ago. There's really nothing else like it in the valley. While I'm not a connoisseur of Korean cuisine, I find that the flavors and combinations offered by SooRah are quite unique and delicious. Try the Bulgogi or the BimBimBop. There are also vegetarian options. The bar is gorgeous and the space very inviting. Highly recommend for something completely different, and very competitively priced. read more

Doesn't look much when you drive by... literally we drove pass it like 5X because we couldn't find it! We didn't know the area much as we were only passing through on our way to Seattle. We ordered to go and the man who helped us warned us that they were running a little slow...unfortunately due to staffing issues. We opted to continue with our order. All the side dishes were made of onions. Half of my beef tofu soup was onions. They only give me half bowl of rice, almost cold, after my soup was there for 10 minutes. Bibimbap was mediocre. We came at opening hour on a Sunday morning, and it was quite empty. Most of the traditional stews, noodles, and bbq dishes were quite overpriced, so my bf and I opted to order the jeongol (a hot pot style dish of beef and veggies) to share. The flavor was yummy, but nothing that blew us out of the water - we would still recommend this to anyone who is trying out this place! I think what we were most disappointed by the banchan. There were only three available, and our first round came with enough kimchi to last 2 bites. We had to ask our server for kimchi refills twice and specified "please give us A LOT of kimchi."
