Came here for my company holiday Christmas party, they accommodated very well for all of the different food and drink options. They had a live music band in the front with a bar and a large section in the back for our 50+ party. The drink package was good and the waiters were running them pretty quick. So to my boss, the drink package was worth it! We had a few courses that being salads that were great a Caesar and chop that were super good. Everything is served family style so huge plates and platters and you serve yourself. We also had a bunch of grilled chicken, salmon and lasagna for main courses and the salmon and lasagna were fireeee. And I don't even really like pasta. Chicken was hittin too but the salmon and lasagna were the stars in my opinion. Deserts... chocolate cake and cheesecake I think. I barely remember because of the waiters running me all those drinks! The menu is 1 cardboard paper, not what u expect for a pricey restaurant Fortunately food took approx 40 or so because we ordered once we got the water. The seafood risotto was good, the lasagna was ok nothing to rave about and the chicken Parmesan was mediocre. All and all the food was fair. Service is slow. My date and I came here for dinner before a show and I will NOT be back. We arrived for our 7:45 pm dinner reservation and waited to be seated even though the restaurant was less than half full. After being seated, it took 20 minutes for a server to come over to our table and another 10 before getting water and bread. Seriously?!?! I was wondering why it would take so long, but when I saw our server I was like, "no wonder it took him so long, he has been busy going through puberty!" Anyway, we ordered immediately and informed him that we were going to the 9 pm show. After another 20 minutes of waiting and not seeing our server, I started getting worried about the time. He walked by a couple times but avoided eye contact. So I called to him and he couldn't ignore me, and I asked about our food. He said it shouldn't be long... anyway, our food did come around 8:45 (btw, we didn't order drinks or appetizers, just the main course). My Linguini with clams was ok, but not worth the terrible service and price. My date ordered meat (Veal?) that came with risotto. I tried it and the piece of meat was just a chunk of fat and the risotto was VERY rich and creamy, but over salted. When we were presented with the bill we were informed that the show was delayed, so time ended up being ok, but I was still stressed out about it the whole time. WOW!!! I don't want to sound crazy but I'm not exaggerating when I say that the salmon dish that I ate was incredibly delicious!!! By far the best salmon dish I've ever ate hands down!! It was so good I had to ask my server (Jose) who the chef was. He said the chef was a guy named Stephen. THANKS STEPHEN!! The force is definitely with you in the kitchen. Jose our server was also very nice and professional. He was knowledgeable when giving recommendations from the menu. We have been coming to Coconut Creek Casino for a long time...We got to eat tonight at a great Italian restaurant tonight....We walked in and were greeted by some of the staff. We were seated and looking around we remarked how nice the atmosphere was....Jason came over to take our order. He did a great job getting us our food in a timely fashion. I came here with my girlfriend. When we sat down we were given bread and pesto to dip it in. It was pretty good. I ordered the smoke lobster pizza. I was in the mood to try something different. It was pretty good but not amazing. My girlfriend ordered the crab ravioli. It was not that good. For dessert my girlfriend had gelato that was good however for $5 I would normally expect it to come in a different bowl then what you get after ordering Chinese food. Live close by so this place is certainly convenient and have wanted to try it. But family went several months ago and had a unanimous horrendous meal. Was told yesterday that they had changed the chef (not sure if this is true) so we all decided to try it. Food remains bad to mediocre. Started with their "beef broth base (was it Campbell's, Progresso or Sysco base mixed with some canned vegetables?) " minestrone soup (3/10). Then had an arrugula salad with strawberries, yellow tomatos and onion (onion did not work in this salad) 2/10, tagliatelle and bolognese sauce (again a canned sauce enhanced by the kitchen with meat) 3/10, filet mignon medium cooked medium rare 6/10, a chicken piccata 3/10 and chicken parm which was thick and the red sauce was too sweet (2.5/10) and a spaghetti with shrimp (provided buccatini even though we specifically asked for spaghetti) 2/10 with an overpowering stench of it either being frozen or spoiled. Since I only tasted the meal above I then decided to order a pizza which is really the only way to go here, it was fine, nothing great and they did have some decent desserts (cannoli and the chocolate cake with chocolate sauce). A thing that really bothered me was that I ordered wine in quartero's and each time the Banfi and other winery wine tasted had a "turning" taste even though I did not bother to send it back. Overall all restaurants in the casino have gone downhill, not sure what is going on. It's interesting but you would think that they would pick up the food quality and get the word out to bring more people to the casino to entice them to then spend dollars but it's going in the opposite direction. We are back at the casino with my father-in-law so we gave it another try. Excellent this time. New chef and new manager has done wonders. My husband had a chicken and fennel sausage dish with shaved potatoes and shallots that he loved and F-I-L had linguini with clams he said was delicious. I had a fettuccini primavera which was fresh and light. Super good, tremendous portions. The highlight of the meal was the funghi pizza with a cream sauce and mounds of ricotta cheese with the most amazing crust. Divine. Give it a try if you are at the casino. The food and service was excellent. We started out with bread that they bring to the table with butter, roasted garlic, olive oil and olive spread. We then ordered Mussels Fra Diablo which was outstanding and Tomato & Mozzarella for Appetizers. We ordered a salad which was huge and amazing. For The Entree we split Penne with Vodka Sauce which was delicious. Also ordered a side of green beans which were also delicious. The staff was very attentive. A total disaster from start to finish! We had reservations for two at 8:15 PM. At 7:30 we asked if there was any possibility of being seated early and we received a very sarcastic "no, you're reservations are for 8:15 and come back then. Okay, I understand that our reservations were for a specific time, so we went back to the casino for a while. We came back at 8:05 and told the hostess we were there and she said we would be seated at 8:15, the time of our reservation. However, it must be noted that there were many empty tables within sight, even when we arrived at 7:30. In fact, at 7:30 and 8:05 we asked about a couple of the empty tables and were told they we not available. At 8:13 one of the hostesses came over to seat us and took us right over to one of the tables that had been empty all along. The feeling was you had were going to be seated at the time of your reservation and they were not going to accommodate you. They could see that I am disabled, but that meant nothing to them. We were seated and waited about ten minutes before our waiter, Alan, came over. We gave our drink order first, my girlfriend ordered a glass of wine and I ordered iced tea. The glass of wine arrived, but I had to ask a busboy about the iced tea as we were sitting there for over 10 minuted before it came. We then had to ask the hostess to get our waiter so we could order because he was nowhere to be found. We placed our orders and our salads came and my appetizer, the beef carpaccio. Both salads were very good and decent sized portions. The beef carpaccio was fair, but a bit skimpy on size. I ordered a combination of filet mignon and shrimp, the filet medium rare. There were two pieces, one was cooked perfectly, the other was medium to well done. The shrimp was overcooked. My side dish of spinach was very good and the extra side of mushrooms was fair. My girlfriend ordered the lamb chops, medium rare. They came out medium to well done. I had to get the hostess to take care of the problem as the waiter was nowhere to be found again. I took over 20 minutes to get the replacement order and by that time I had finished my meal. The replacement order of lamb chops while perfectly cooked was inedible because the meat was so tough. We were already told by the hostess they were not charging us for the lamb chops because of what happened. When the waiter finally showed up again we told him to pack up the lamb chops as were would take them home to grind up for our dogs. I ordered a double espresso at the end of the meal and it came out at room temperature. I wanted the check and had to get the hostess again as the waiter was nowhere to be found. The hostess brought over the check and about ten minutes later the waiter came over to pick it up and he had the nerve to say that he told the hostess to take off the price of the lamb chops because he saw there was a problem. The truth was the hostess told me she was doing that way before the waiter knew about it. I asked him about the lamb chops and he stared at me like a deer gazing into the headlights of a car. He walked away. Now granted, we were not paying for the lamb chops, so I felt there was nothing I could or should say. Ten minutes later the hostess came back and said she took the price of my carpaccio and salad off the bill due to the inconvenience. Bottom line, the service was probably the worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant. The food preparation was sub standard. While I have eaten at the deli at this casino, I will never go back to this restaurant. read more

I began to get the monthly brochure from Seminole casino for being a regular player there which includes a couple $30 food vouchers to Sirrosi. Since I am a not a fancy diner I decided to try this out just for the novelty of it and since I am used to good food at Seminole's Fresh Harvest restaurant I was hoping that it was AT LEAST as good. Well I have never seen such ultra-expensive slop in my life! In my last trip there this week I had ordered the $28 Braised Rib meal and even though I am on a diet I left still hungry. I would describe that meal as if you bought a pack of roast beef at Costco for $12 and a $1 pack of mash potatoes from Wal-Mart, however the amount of food you would get would be 1/5th of that total amount! So they use $13 worth of ingredients and make $140 out of it! I have had their jumbo shrimp fettuccine several times and they cant cook shrimp to save their lives! 6 times out of 7 the shrimp is UNDERCOOKED. When you try to pull out the tail it does not separate cleanly and you see the raw meat. To this day I can hardly believe I spent $140+ 15% tips for a simple meal for a group of 3 of us some months back!! For being so darn expensive they need to clean up their act. I am tired of them but if you care for trying to impress someone at a seemingly 'posh' restaurant with ridiculous high prices, loud background music and strange undercooked food with 2 year old child sized portions then Sirrosi is your place!! Last of all they are never 100% full and they always have 40+ seat available at the back + a private dinner area but they never let the 'ordinary people' sit there - so most of the time you have to endure a 30-45 mins wait to get seated! I ordered chicken Fettuccine Alfredo and the wife had chicken parm. I honeslty can think of at least three local ma and pa italian joints that wipe the floor with this palce and at half the price. 1. Pizza Time, 2. Big Anthony's, and 3. La Pizzaria. My alredo sauce was very bland and chicken had a very hard exterior like was overcooked. The chicken parm was mediocre at best. The side of spaghetti that comes with chic parm was decent, though I wouldn't come back for it. For the prices of about double any ma and pa, you would expect the most amazing italian this side of the world, but im afraid its all hype due to its location... our waitress told us that they recently changed the menu, maybe they have had change in management or head chefs??? Okay, my wife was much more understanding and pleasant with her review but I will not sugar coat mine. Let me start by saying I do not mind paying for a good meal, if it is worth it. For example Ruth's Chris Steak house with drinks, apps, sides and entrée will run you around $200 or so for a couple, but I must say it is well worth the money. The servers are always on top of things and the food is excellent. So the pricing at Sorrisi would not ever be an issue if the service and food was better than a soup kitchen. As my wife stated, our night started out very well. We have been to Coconut many time but have never tried Sorrisi as the buffet and Sunset Grill are very good places to eat.The hostess was very invited and we even joked around a bit before we were seated early. We sat outside in the casino smoking area, which was a plus. We were surprised that there were some empty tables, especially on New Years Eve. We were seated at about 8:55 and we thought, great we will be in and out and have a great meal and be back to gambling well before midnight. Our bread and oil was brought right away and the server was pleasant and attentive answering our questions on some of the menu items. Our drinks came about 10 minutes later and we ordered our app, which took about 15 minutes or so to come. Okay, so things are going well and the antipasto was out of this world. We should have stopped there, called it a night and left because the next hour and a half was the worst experience I have had at any restaurant including a stop at a Flying J truck stop on I-95. I ordered the Lamb Chops, as I am a meat fanatic. I was so looking forward to a nice chunk of rare tender rack. So about 45 minutes later after not seeing our waitress or my tender little baby lamb the table next to us got their order. The waitress, as she was passing by, said sorry for the delay our kitchen is backed up, and kept walking. She never asked if we needed another drink or anything else to make our wait a little more tolerable. After another 30 minutes of people watching and seeing my numbers come up on the roulette wheel, I went to speak with the hostess. She said "I am so glad you guys are still here, I thought you were going to leave before I could say goodbye," I informed her that we had not even received our food yet and she was shocked. She said she would check on it for us as there should not be this long of a wait. She came to our table and said the manager was handling it and our food would be there shortly. The anticipation was building as I saw a server bringing a tray with what looked like our food, My mouth was watering as I placed my napkin on my lap and grabbed my knife and fork. FINALLY, my sweet tender baby lamb chops were here. The plate looked great, from a distance. When the server placed it in from of me I could see right away that my lamb was overcooked. I touched it and it was cold. I had a tear in my eye as I looked down and the terribly mistreated cut of meat. When I moved one of the chops it was stuck to the crust of the risotto. Yes, I said CRUST of the risotto. My risotto had and actual CRUST on it. After breaking open the CRUST, again yes, CRUST, the inside of the risotto was even worse. So imagine if you cooked some boil-in-bag rice, shaped it into a ball and put it under a broiler for, oh let's say an hour an a half, it would have been creamier and more pleasant than what was put on my $38 plate. Now on to the lamb. I cut into it, or sawed through it would be a better description. I can only describe it as if McDonalds had added lamb chops to there dollar menu. This was the MOST DISSAPOINTING plate I have ever had placed in front of me. I think you get the picture. So again I go to the hostess, since our server was nowhere to be found, and she said she would send the manager over. He came over and seemed kind of put out that I did not love their FINE DINNING Tender Hot Juicy Lamb Chops and Creamy Parm Risotto. He did however offer us a free drink and to take my entrée off of the bill. What a swell guy. A true fine dinning manager that was really apologetic and cared about food quality and return customers would have comped the entire meal due to our 2 hour and 10 minute visit at McBugerBell. So we ended up paying $82 for some bread, meat, cheese, and 2 drinks. Wow - just Wow. We will never ever eat at this joint again. No second chance. I would rather order a bowl of chili and french fries at the poker table than see another beautiful cut of meat be mistreated as the chef (fry cook) did at Sorrisi. read more
