There was both outdoor seating and indoor seating. My drink (diet coke) was brought out immediately. I ordered the hummus plate as well as the kababs. Portions were generous as I had rice in my order, and the hummus sauce was awesome! Also, the desserts are worth trying out. Over the years, the food has progressively gone down in quality and quantity. We ordered food for pick up. My husband ordered filet mignon, rare, with 2 sides (which is now $2.00 per side -- it used to be included with the entree without any extra charge). The sides were babaganoush and hummus. Since there was an extra $2.00 charge per side, my expectations were that there would be a generous amount of these sides. Was I wrong. The kitchen plopped about 2 TABLESPOONS of the babaganoush and hummus. On top of this, the cubed filet mignon was small, dry and medium well not rare nor juicy. It was hard to swallow. I had a mediterranean salad and large tomato soup. We paid $51.00 not including the tip. Of course, we tipped the to-go meal. We were extremely disappointed about the quality of the food with meager portions and cost of the meal. Sadly, we will not be returning. read more

I highly recommend this spot! I came here after shopping at Ikea. I was super hungry and just wanted to eat something quickly and came across this spot. Even though I found this restaurant by accident, I am definitely coming back as this is much better than most Mediterranean restaurants I've been to. I had the chicken kabob plate which was really juicy, flavorful and cooked well. The dolmas are a great option as a side. First time and last time eating here. Had the Ground Sirloin Kabob, it wasn't spiced properly and tasted strange. I love a good beef or lamb kabob so I was pretty disappointed. The pita bread wasn't home made, seemed store bought (Costco would be my guess). Terrible. Rice was not good either. They were kind enough to bring me some veggies because I didn't realize they don't come with the kabob and usually cost extra. The veggies were bland and didn't taste fresh or have much flavor at all. The raspberry lemonade was artificial tasting and way too sweet. By the end of the day I had a lot of stomach problems, so I'm guessing it was either the veggies or very low quality meat in the kabob. The "family meal special" ($45) serves four with left-overs galore for lunch the next day (includes kabobs, salad, rice, hummus, pita bread). Packaging is just perfect with easy-to-serve-and-save containers. Just open the bag and start eating. Of course, it's back to dine in, so let's do it. The restaurant has a giant, airy coffee shop vibe with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, craft beers, hot drinks, and a dessert case you cannot pass up. My vote is the giant chocolate chip cookie, but Yelpers, you will have plenty from which to choose. I'm a white meat chicken kabob guy, and they do it right at Sotta. The chicken is so light and juicy, it might float off the skewer. Basmati rice for days. Lentil soup is the freebie side of choice for a hungry Burbanker. Holy moly this place is bombdiggityDELICIOUS. It was crazy packed at noon on a Tuesday (I noticed there were many Warner Bros employees taking their lunch break since it's across the street). BUT thankfully my friend and I found shaded seats outside. This restaurant is one of those "order first then find your seats" sort of place. To me, it can get stressful but it actually wasn't too bad. I ordered the chicken (dark meat) kabob plate with choice of rice and two sides of a salad and fries. In retrospect I probably only needed one side... but I was quite hungry. The kabob and the rice were SCRUMPTIOUS. The chicken was perfectly charred and juicy to perfection. The rice (basmati?) complemented the meat perfectly. I love that they added a lime slice for you to squeeze over the meat and rice. The ONLY suggestion I would make is that the nan was a little too chewy and dry for my liking. It was served cold, and was terribly hard to chew... so I just gave up on that after a few bites. It might help if it was heated up a bit? My friend ordered the Asian noodle salad with no protein and it was also quite delicious. The interior is quant, with tables and booth seating so that is nice. You order up front and they bring your food to you. Service is pretty fast and the menu is nice and short so easy for the indecisive! ;) I got the ground beef plate with two sides--hummus and fire roasted veggies. The rice portion is filling, but the veggies were so small that I finished it in two bites. Everything else was just average--the plates include a garlic sauce that has the consistency of whipped marshmallows to me that I didn't think had much flavor. I also thought the pita bread was really thin, cold, and tasted store bought. Overall, the portions were good, but the sides were a bit lacking. This place probably deserves a bit more than one star but it's getting one star from me so that their total doesn't reflect a 5 star establishment. I do t think she heard the "Pay" part of my sentence. Anyways want back to my table and drank it. The desert, a cranberry almond tart was good. Flavor was mild but it's was there and I enjoyed it. I'm saving the worst for last. It's the front end service, which is handled by a bunch of improperly trained kids. They know nothing about customer service, making a customer feel welcomed and taking steps to make sure every customer is beyond happy. That's the key that could have made the subpar non authentic food quantity and bland coffee tolerable. We will not be returning. Was not worth the money.
