Pad Thai, Pepper & Garlic, Green Curry

I've been here a few times since moving to Burbank and it's easily become our favorite Thai place! Today we got the Thai tea, crispy pork pad Thai, garlic pepper beef, and green chicken curry. All around amazing flavor and exactly what I love about Thai food. The vibe outside is super cute too, great to have for lunch on a breezy 72° day :)

Such a hidden gem! The food is delicious. Very friendly staff. Street parking only. There's limited outdoor seating and one table inside. There are also lunch specials available 11:00-3:00.

Hit it out of the park again! This time I got chrysanthemum tea (outstanding whole flower tea with refils), fresh spring rolls (perfect! With basil even!) and the yellow curry. I got it medium spicy and it was flavorful, pretty mild spice. I may try the masaman curry next time :)

Little mom and pop restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Great for lunch. Service is good but they take a little longer so expect the wait. They have a small staff and the food tastes really fresh. I had the Khao Soi with the chicken. It's so tender so don't be afraid of the drumsticks. It's on the sweet side but has a lot of flavor.

I am so happy to find a restaurant that takes me back to Thailand! I love the ambiance and the feeling of having a home cooked meal. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. Honestly one of the best Thai places I've been to in Los Angeles. The wait staff is also super sweet!

We were stuffed! We looked at the Yelp photos before hand and thought we should get some appetizers and dessert but man we were really full and satisfied! It was a nice evening and we got a table outside patio. We weren't sure how busy a Thursday night would be so we got reservations. We were seated quickly and the outside dining got full so some larger parties after us had to wait. We ordered fried calamari, khao so, drunken noodles, and mango sticky rice. The fried calamari came with some soft shelled crab! The sweet sauce was a good touch. The Khao so came with generous portion of beef and the curry soup is quite rich and hearty. The side of picked vegetables also helped with a little crunch. I got the drunken noodles with crispy pork. The crispy pork were chucks of roasted crispy pork belly! Delicious and fatty. You can choose heat level; I chose the mildest but I should have got spicier. We didn't see mango sticky rice on the menu but they did have it and it was a good end to the meal. We parked on the street. Just read the signs for restrictions.

    Pad Sew Ew

Wow, that was just so delicious! We went in for an 8-person lunch, and boy did we all left so satisfied! Everyone very much enjoyed their food! For myself, I ordered the Pad Sew Ew with Tofu and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. This is the lunch portion for the Pad Sew Ew, so if you have a real big appetite, one lunch portion may not be enough. For me, it's just perfect, leaving enough room for dessert. The Pad Sew Ew really balanced itself well with its salty savoriness and sweet soy, while the tofu had just enough crispness to add texture, but still soft enough to hold on to the pad sew ew flavor. I can say it's almost effortless finishing the whole bowl. The Mango Sticky Rice continued the theme of balance, with the rice having just enough coconut glaze that it doesn't over so it with too much sweetness. This also allowed the mango flavor and the rice flavor to be featured more to work in concert with the coconut instead of being too dominated with the coconut glaze like in some other Thai restaurants. Just love this dessert and My Little Home Thai Kitchen delivers with this dish!

The Service: Super efficient! Cute patio seating area. The Food: Generous portions. Love their yellow curry, very flavorful. They give big pieces of meat in both fries rice & noodles dishes. The Parking: Street parking (2 hours)

My cousin and I were heading back home after a long weekend event and were so hungry! I was craving thai food and wanted to try a place close by. This place is adorable! Its has primarily what looks like outdoor covered seating with the kitchen (& restrooms) in the back with the host and staff seating and serving customers out front. We came at a good time as each table was taken soon after! The thai tea was refreshing and a good to have as we waited on the calamari. The food portions are generous and fair for the quality and menu items offered, which was neat. My cousin really wanted mango sticky rice so we managed to finish that as well with the leftover boxes provided! I ordered from their specials the salmon curry entree to go for my boyfriend, and he said it was worth trying out too. Definitely will come out again soon!

We ordered the Cashew Chicken, Larb salad, and Crispy Pork Pad Thai. They were all pretty good except the Cashew Chicken was underwhelming. It wasn't saucy but rather soupy. The side of white rice was also a bit soft/mushy. Service was great and its a cute place. We were the only ones eating there and they accommated our "outdoor" seating next to a heater. They seem to do a lot of take out orders which keeps them busy.

First time here after hearing so many good things and it didn't disappoint Starters , mains and service all sensational Very relaxed and chill vibe sitting out in the front patio The crispy tofu , spicy chicken wings , pork toast ( think Chinese shrimp toast) all delicious as were the special fried rice, crispy pork belly with broccoli and the Pad see yew for mains Street parking available, very well priced, and will be back

Pad Ka Prao (pork), white rice

This was my second Thai spot in Burbank since I heard Burbank has great Thai food. The service was great. The guy was very kind and through with his recommendations. I ordered the classic Pad Ka Prao (pork) and it tasted amazing. The Ka Prao I'm use to is more dry and stir fried, but this one is more saucy which I think is better because I get to slatter my rice with all that sauce. The flavor of the pork is also outstanding accompanying with the seasonings. They even gave me a pink macaroon as a little dessert before I left. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

I really liked this place! Its super cute and the food is yummy! My daughter loved sitting outside and people watching. We got there right when it opened around 5PM. Ordered the chicken pad see ew and the crab fried rice. Daughter ate both, which was great. Liked the noodles more than the rice. Also got her the coconut ice cream for dessert - three scoops in a bowl. She ate most of it. Service was friendly and food was delicious! Would definitely come back!

Do you have any gluten-free options for people with Celiac disease?

Hi Dona! We do have gluten-free options. When visiting, please let your server know. Thank you!

I've had the Salmon curry and noticed that the salmon is crispy and fried-- is that done with a flour or batter or is it just deep fried?

Hi! The salmon is fried without any batter. Thank you!

Is the yellow curry vegetarian or does it have chicken broth or seafood sauce in it?

We make our curries without broth as we use coconut milk. We can use a substitute for the fish sauce and use a soy based seasoning making it 100% vegetarian. Hope this helps. Just let our staff know, thank you!

Do they use real crab meat in their crab fried rice?

Hi Guy, yes we use real crab meat. Thanks!

The server didn't stop by and explain why there was such a delay and didn't apologize for such a long wait. When half the table is eating and the other half has to wait around a half hour to eat, it really is a terrible experience. I also had to go up to the counter to request a check and had to go to the counter again to pay, otherwise we might still be waiting for them to figure it out. And charging an 18% "service fee" for a party of six, when you provide such poor service, is incredibly disrespectful. Finally got a chance to come-in & I'm glad that I did. Although, I have my "go-to whole-in-the-wall Vietnamese" place in the SFV, there's always room for more businesses to support & Mama Hong's Vietnamese Kitchen - Burbank definitely deserves your patronage. It's a welcome step-up from your typical no-frills Vietnamese place, so the vibe / decor is especially great if you're introducing someone to Vietnamese cuisine for their first time. FOOD **PRO TIP: Go "Family-Style" = split multiple dishes amongst your table so you can have the opportunity to try multiple delishes dishes at once. That's the move. Shaken Beef Garlic Noodles - 9.2 / 10 **GET THIS DISH!!!!!** I did my "due diligence" before coming here & I 100% knew that I wanted to try this particular dish as soon as I came into the restaurant. In fact, the person whom I came here with wanted this too. (She didn't tell me in-advance). Needless to say, when multiple people have the exact same dish in-mind, you know that this is a good sign. Strips of lean, tender, juicy, quality, tenderloin steak, well-sautéed onions, plenty of garlic, served on top of a bed of al dente noodles. What's not to love? It's like eating a big, bowl, or spaghetti, but without the overpowering tomato sauce. Don't let the simplicity fool you. Yeah, I could very, well likely make this dish as home, but sometime it' just nice to leave some things to the pros. You can't go wrong with this dish. It sounds delicious in theory & it delivers on all fronts in reality. Spicy Garlic Chicken Rice - 8.9 / 10 A nice counterpoint to the heavier beef dishes that are offered, the well-seasoned, not-overly dry, but not-too spicy chicken is substantial. Round that off with an adequate portion of perfectly-steamed white rice & some fresh veggies (your standard pickled carrots, daikon radish, & lettuce), & you got yourself a solid chicken dish. Grilled Ribeye Steak Sandwich - 9.1 / 10 I hadn't had breakfast, so I was definitely craving a bit more to satisfy my hunger. This beef variant of a traditional Vietnamese Bahn-Mi hit the spot. Since I'm used to eating more economical + fattier cuts of beef for my bahn-mi, it's a rather welcome + modern twist to be using more premium cuts of steak (I honestly might steal this move the next time I whip-up a bahn-mi at home). It was hearty & you can definitely tell that the quality is there. I could be mistaken, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was some fish sauce that was used to marinade the steak. It makes for such a well-rounded, savory flavor. The crisp veggies, & aromatic cilantro round-out all taste sensations on a fresh baguette. In many ways, this is the fancier, upgraded, "Rolls Royce", of a typical whole-in-the wall Vietnamese spot's bahn-mi, & that is sometimes what you want. I would definitely get this again, especially if I was on-the-go. DRINKS Mango Jasmine Iced Tea - 8.9 / 10 Don't sleep on Mama Hong's handcrafted beverages. The mango jasmine iced tea provides everything that I want in a thirst-quenching drink. You get the tropical tones of the mango offset by the herbaceous jasmine of the tea. I really appreciate that it's not overly sweet. I especially dig that their handcrafted beverages come in customized branded plastic packaging with that soda-can lever-opener-style lid. You just don't get that anywhere. The staff is beyond accommodating. Shout-out to Mariska for being such a friendly & warm server. Granted, I came on a Sunday afternoon (around 2pm-3:30pm), don't be surprised if you have to wait because I can see this place being quite the trendy spot. Granted it's casual, it's still feels a bit nicer/fancier than the more relaxed bars, fast-casual spots in the surrounding area. You can't go wrong with Mama Hong's Vietnamese Kitchen - Burbank. A solid choice, indeed.

The service is always warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming--it feels like they truly care about the guest experience now. That alone has made such a difference. The live music on Tuesday and Thursday evenings is a great touch and adds a really nice vibe without being overwhelming. It makes the space feel lively and inviting. As for the food and drinks--highly recommend the "She's from Miami" roll and the lychee martini. Both have become go-tos for me and never disappoint. It's clear the team has put in the effort to elevate every aspect of the experience, and it shows. Definitely worth revisiting if it's been a while.

When I dine in, the lychee martini and sticky mango rice are must-haves. This time I ordered the sirloin pad see eew for take out. The food came out fresh, hot, and in a filling portion. The steak was tender and flavorful and the noodles had an intense rich, savory flavor that the broccoli helped balance out. I would've enjoyed a bigger pop of freshness from the meal with a bigger portion of veggies since the sauce can be really rich. Over-all, it was another great experience!
