I enjoy my pho with no additions so I like a broth with a lot of flavor. The golden bao was my favorite dish, a nice twist on a classic Vietnamese snack. Had brisket and chicken pho and they were both very solid! Interior is comfy and modern. The horchata drink tasted a little old though. Mostly docked stars for service. There doesn't seem to be set servers per table and most we interacted with seemed rude. The one who took our orders was like "no appetizer? Sure okayyy...." and walked away kinda judgey? The one who brought our food yelled "brisket and chicken?" right by our table. After I said brisket please she put both down roughly and walked away. And the one who got our check literally tossed it on the table and left. No one checked in if we are doing okay. I've been a loyal customer since the Anaheim location and never had issues there. Recently switched to Irvine quality hasn't been quite the same, but still decent and faster. Today, I ordered a Pho Ribeye and received only broth, no meat. I called, and the only options offered were a refund or a complimentary item for my next order. I even offered to wait 20 minutes for them to send the missing portion, but that wasn't accommodated. Mistakes happen, but the response felt underwhelming. The food was good, portions large, and they had a lot of great pictures in the menu to help show you what everything is. I love that they have a lot of variety and vegetable options as well. The staff are very helpful and nice but they do come pretty frequently to check if you need anything or if you are finished. They could probably check a few times less because different staff came maybe 15 times during our meal so it was a little disruptive to the conversation we were having. I had to tell them 4 times we weren't finished eating yet. So I felt rushed like they wanted me to get out even though all the tables weren't full. Soup shop opened up super close to us so we had to try it out especially after seeing TikTok's about how great it is! I went for the first time on a Saturday to do a pick up order (their online system wasn't ready so I went in person). I wasn't feeling great so went with their pho which was good. Overall good flavor and they give you a lot. I would get it again when it starts to get cold. I went again 2 weeks later on a Friday night with my partner. We were able to get seated quickly. I ordered the horchata and he got the iced green tea, both delicious. We wanted to try their Cajun fries which were okay. They weren't my favorite. We love garlic noodles so we had to they those. Fabulous addition to the area, Soup Shop has a good variety of noodle dishes including a range of pho noodle soups and garlic noodles. Currently still in a soft opening phase, we stopped by to try the Pho Rib Bones and Shaken Filet Mignon, and everything was cooked to perfection. We went fairly late and the place was still open, it wasn't too busy so there was no wait at all. Service was prompt and the food was delicious. Another group that arrived after us did get served first so they finished first. Also, we did end up trying the crème brûlée which was also delicious as well. It's alright and good for Irvine. Soup didn't feel very rich (no gelatin from stock), not enough aromatics, and the green onions were julienned. Also, the amount of herbs they give on the side was so little. I don't like how they try to upsell beef ribs since it's not traditional. Went here on the weekend to try it out for brunch. Busy but not crazy busy. Ambiance was nice with modern music that I would jam too. We got sat super quickly and was serviced immediately which was nice. Ordered pho, garlic noodles with chicken and a jasmine tea drink with cold foam. All of it was good. Broth was nice along with the chicken. The noodles was just right. Had the right amount of garlic. The chicken had this yummy dipping sauce. Price was reasonable too! Came at 9pm for a late dinner, not too many places open late that are also dog friendly so this was a good option. We sat outside because of our dog, but it was nice and quiet and safe. Waiters were super attentive and brought out all the silverware and condiments to our table outside. They answered all our questions about the menu and were very friendly. We got the egg rolls and popcorn chicken. Popcorn chicken was bomb and was a nice spice level when we asked for mild. Crunchy and juicy! I got the combo pho and it was a great portion.
