Oh my goodness! This is the best hotpot I have ever been to! Every hot pot I've gone to always had a weird smell coming in and not as clean. This place is clean and having your own hotpot is so ideal! We went twice during our vacation! Thursday for lunch and then Sunday for dinner. Normally I was told Sundays are busy but we got here right at 5pm and for sat right away. They don't take same day reservations which is odd, not sure why. The meats are all fresh, the buffet for all the soup sauces and extra veggies and meats was clean and the options were plenty. The dessert were mini cakes and the ice cream which were perfect to be the end piece of eating so much meat and veggies and rice! The tonkatasu and mushroom base mixed was my favorite and the pork belly and all the mushrooms! If you want to try an adult drink, the shared soju is perfect! Because we loved this spot we looked for a place in Arizona and we didn't have one so you should totally open one here!!!!

AYCE hotpot spot that's give you option of buffet only or premium (buffet + meats). The space is spacious with plenty of tables & booths. Each person gets an individual pot with broth of choice. They have seasonal specials (enoki mushrooms, tofu skin, & quail eggs) that you have to order from the server. The buffet & sauce bar has all your essentials. The ingredients were fresh & fully stocked. The tonkotsu broth was not very flavorful or creamy as I thought it would be. I did like the tom yum broth. It was typically tom yum taste; a little sweet & sour. If you can't decide on two broths, they have an option to mix both of them together. You can only order two meats per person at the time. The meats were good & they give you a good portion of meat per order. The angus brisket, eye round, chunk tender, & sirloin tip were kinda tough. My favorite were the angus toro & pork belly. They were both buttery & soft. They have ube soft serve. It was a little icy in texture, but very good. It has strong ube taste.

Well my favorite place to eat right now hands down. I love the fresh food and awesome meat selection. The veggies are farm fresh, with an enormous selection. Seafood lovers rejoice with all of the options! Clean, comfortable and a great spot for a date or a meal with friends. There is bar seating, and you can sometimes snag a spot on a busy evening. Servers are helpful and knowledgeable, and always so friendly. My top tip-ask for a slotted spoon!

This is our new favorite hotpot and the best we've found. The service is spot on and very responsive. They keep coming by to ask if we need more meat, which is plentiful. The cost is average for a hotpot place but the variety of ingredients is astounding. The proteans have it all: beef, chicken, pork, tofu...but the salad, fish, and sauce bar is beyond compare. It was challenging to hold back and not get too much. The freshness was surprising. It is crowded but not noisy. It's amazing what people will take back to their chairs. Huge helpings of bok choy, shrimp, eggs (chicken and quail), and a bucket of individually hand made sauces. They offer 5-6 mushroom species and every kind of cabbage and greens known. Amazing. With multiple flavors of broth it is a guarantee you will find your favorite.

A Fun and Flavorful First Hot Pot Experience This was my first time trying hot pot, and Soupleaf is my youngest daughter's favorite spot--did not disappoint. I was impressed by the wide variety of fresh vegetables, broths, and protein options. It felt like a bit of organized chaos at first, but once we got going, everything was delicious and it turned into a really fun experience cooking my own soup right in front of me. One detail I really appreciated was how accommodating the staff were. They kindly let us bring in a birthday cake and stored it in the fridge until we were ready to sing. It made the evening feel even more special. Overall, Soupleaf was a great introduction to hot pot, and I'll definitely be back soon.

Soup Leaf is an all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant owned/created/founded by the Lin family (no relation to Jeremy Lin). The interior is dark and aesthetically designed with lots of natural textures. While reservations are available, we were pleasantly surprised by how quick and easy it was to walk in and get a table for two. They offer weekday lunch pricing before 3 PM for $25.50, with all other days and times priced at $36 (excluding tax+tip). HOW IT WORKS: Each diner selects a broth, followed by their choice of meats. To avoid waste, you're allowed two plates of meat per person at a time. Once you finish, you can continue ordering more. After placing your initial order with the server, you're free to visit the buffet bar, which has everything else you could possibly need--an abundance of vegetables, seafood, rice, noodles, and a well-stocked DIY sauce bar. Despite the meats being frozen, they cook in the broth easily. One small note: the waiter defaults the broth temperature to the highest heat. My meat overcooked quickly and became a bit chewy. This may be user error, but a quick heads-up from the servers would have been helpful. WHAT WE ORDERED: My partner chose the Tonkotsu broth, while I went with the Tom Yum. Our palates couldn't be more different--he's all about the meat, while I'm a seafood queen. The Tonkotsu, a lightly roasted pork bone broth, was a bit bland for my taste. The Tom Yum, on the other hand, was exceptional--bold, complex, and full of flavor. Even better? It's a collaboration with Austin's very own Madam Mam's, which made it feel extra legit. In addition to all the things you need for your entree, they also serve dessert at the buffet bar. The standout for me were the soft-serves, both the ube and chocolate flavor.

For the price and variety this place makes it pointless to do hot pot at home. You get 2 hrs to eat which is more than plenty. Not many places offer ubbe soft serve. Service is pretty fast. I do expect this place to be more packed when it gets cold. What's weird is I never smell like soup coming out of here unlike other hot pot places. Either it's ventilated well or the soups aren't strong enough.

I love this place. The restaurant is big and can accommodate some really big parties. Each person gets their own pot. You basically have two options: just the bar or meats + bar. They have a good assortment of veggies and seafood items. My son really enjoyed the soft serve ice cream. At the time we went, it was chocolate and taro. It was so good, I went twice during my one week vacation in Austin!

Went there for my daughter's birthday party. They were very friendly and accommodating to add 2 extra people to the table. Was my first time ever doing a hot pot experience so was not sure what to expect. It was very very crowded and very noisy so not a good place for a romantic dinner. People that were dining were in a frantic hurry to grab as much food as possible from the 3 large tables in the back. The floors were very dirty from people dropping food. Was a hazard as I slipped on some ice cream! Our waiter was very nice but never brought all of the meats we had ordered and actually doubled up on meats instead of giving us what we wanted which was disappointing because they do offer a lot of different types of meats. We knew there was a 2 hour limit, however when you have to wait for your broth and meats, you are already 35 minutes in. And time inbetween getting more meat is very slow. The staff was nice, but because of not getting what we ordered and the slowness of items being brought out and having to wait and a strict time constraints, may not come back.

This is another Austin staple for me if I'm in the area and craving hot pot. My boyfriend and I went to eat lunch here before our drive back to Houston. Lunch price was $25.50 per person. Even though it was lunch I was curious if certain things were limited. As a given a few of the meats were only for dinner but the ones for lunch are just as great! The quality of the meats were very good and my favorite one was angus toro. For the buffet section it had veggies, noodles, sides, sauces, and seafood. It was such a wide variety of items to add into my hot pot. Our server always checked up on us through out our meal to make sure everything was going well. The restaurant was also very spacious and clean. I love this place!

I don't often go for hotpot, but usually it is this spot when it happens. They have good selection of meats, seasonal specials, and the buffet part is very good. They have blue crab halves there and I wanted to try it, but it's a bit too messy, so I skipped it. I love enoki mushrooms and I wrapped them in put think sliced meats and dipped in sauce. Ube soft serve was on point too! The service was fast and overall very good, we really enjoyed the experience.

Soupleaf was my first-ever hot pot experience and after visiting many others since, I can confidently say this place sets the bar exceptionally high. Every time I go back, I'm reminded how truly special it is. At around $35 per person with meat, it's an incredible value for the quality and variety offered. Even without the meat, the selection is so abundant that you'd still leave completely satisfied. The buffet spread is beautiful and thoughtfully arranged: seafood, root and leafy vegetables, tofu, dumplings, noodles, and an impressive sauce bar with endless combinations. It's clear that care and attention go into every detail. There are at least five soup bases to choose from, and I always go for a mix of the traditional and mala broths for that perfect balance of flavor and spice. The hot pot is built directly into the table, making it easy to cook and interact with your meal, something I really appreciate compared to other places with bulky stovetops. The staff is consistently friendly, patient, and welcoming, whether it's your first visit or your tenth. If you're planning to go, I'd recommend making a reservation or dining during off-peak hours, as it's a popular spot (for good reason). A small tip from experience: start with your seasonings and root vegetables to build flavor, then add leafy greens and seafood later. I always save the meat for last since it cooks in seconds. And don't sleep on the steamed rice, it's perfect while you wait for your pot to bubble to perfection. Every visit leaves me full, happy, and convinced it's worth every penny. Soupleaf is easily one of the best hot pot experiences in town and a place I'll keep returning to again and again.

The bartender was very friendly and attentive to us but the food was very disappointing. We started with the ceviche tropical, which is consists of shrimp and fruit/veggies. I've had good ceviche in the U.S. and Mexico and this was not it. The main entree was the Tacos Nayarit (fish tacos). The portions of fish were microscopic and also lacked flavor. The Spanish rice served on the side was the worst I've had in a restaurant. It was wet, old and gummy (see photo). The black beans didn't taste bad but they were superheated as if they were warmed in a microwave. Overall, the food was pretty horrible. So very sad as I was hoping to find a good Mexican seafood option in Austin. I was told that this restaurant is owned by the same folks that operate Casa Chapala, where I have had great experiences.
