I usually skip local pho joints because, honestly, the quality around here is generally disappointing. But today, after waking up from a nap with an intense craving, I decided to take a chance. I found a recommendation for a new spot on a local Facebook group and drove over. I ordered the steak and brisket pho with extra brisket. Even before the bowl arrived, I could tell this place was dedicated to quality. The garnish plate was immaculate--the bean sprouts and greens were incredibly fresh. Glancing at the next table, the presentation of their dishes was just as well done and everything looked vibrant. The pho itself was phenomenal. The broth was perfectly executed--rich and flavorful. I was so impressed that I had to ask the waitress who the chef was. She proudly told me her husband was the cook, and he hails from Southern Vietnam (which explains the distinction in flavor, as Southern-style pho is noticeably different from Northern-style). Long story short, I'm absolutely impressed! I can finally recommend a truly great Vietnamese pho restaurant in the San Antonio area. Well done!

Exterior doesn't look super friendly (it was dark with not a lot of lighting) but inside , it was vibrant with green walls, a fish tank and small, lovely family owned business Thai Iced Tea -- LOVE that this came on a beer mug haha I believe this was less than $5 too so what a steal Seafood pho -- good, it hit the spot for SO Beef pho -- very good, I enjoyed my dish very much Highly recommend if you're wanting pho in San Antonio!

Wow I passed this place up many times now I can't believe what I've been missing. And right on my neck of the woods or should I say the barrio. Yes Sir they got Pho here and trust me it is GOOD. Ordered 2 Beef combination Phos 1 seafood Pho 1 child's steak Pho When kids say it's good they don't lie. I've/We've had many Phos and this hit the spot good. Broth has a nice delicate rich flavor, I can taste the star anise and cinnamon coming through the rich bold flavors. A lot of places make them with a light settle flavor in the broth. I found that the release of fat from the contents of the meat elevates the flavor in the broth omg. My daughter loved her seafood Pho as that choice I'll be picking for myself sometime in the near future again. Kids pho was excellent and filling, more than enough for anyone under 10yrs of age. Owner took a little time to talk to us, I'm very excited to come back as I will BE sooner than later. I want to try other things in their menu. Place is kept clean and cozy. Gender restrooms available. S&R's I will be coming back, plenty in the menu to try and go for. Keep up the good work!

Just wow. I get it now, the name is a paradox. Soups & Rolls, just that, Soups & Rolls, all day just Soups & Rolls. Then, you eat at Soups & Rolls and then it's like aahhhhh Soups & Rolls. Got their brisket & meatball pho along with some spring rolls and a Thai tea, and now I know what the big deal is. Their seemingly simple name of Soups & Rolls belies the complexity and vast deliciousness that they've been able to pack into seemingly simple foods, which end up being full of Umaminity. Best pho in town.

Food is phenomenal. Came to visit family, and the food and atmosphere was next to none. Highly recommend and will be back!

It's a small quaint location but the food is really tasty! They have a wide selection on their menu but I've tried both their Vietnamese and Chinese dishes. I always order Togo and service is great! The orange chicken & lemon chicken is delicious! It's a top favorite for me. Good portion sizes, great prices and this Asian food doesn't put me for a heavy nap after. They seem to use quality products and that's why this is a top Togo place for me. I did try the coffee boba and taro and the coffee was too sweet and Taro tasted nice but boba was off.

I don't think it's truly authentic Chinese food, but an in between little diner with great and attentive service, reasonable prices and a lot on their menu. What we ordered came out super quickly and all the dishes were very good. We got egg drop soup (delicious), one stir fried seafood dish (shrimp and scallop- so good!), shrimp fried rice (great), the General Tso's beef (my husband loved this!), chicken lo mein. Generous portions for all dishes. I am sure this place is great for to go also because they must have had 25 to go orders in the 45 minutes we were there to eat.

It was coated with flour like fried chicken instead of corn starch which it should be Couldn't taste the black bean sauce although the sauce was strong Sweet and sour soup was full of good items but so much pepper it made me cough Soups are in tiny cups they call small bowls White rice is good and sticky Shrimp with lobster sauce is nothing like it should be, mostly corn and tasteless, I mean tasteless like water Not the usual recipe others serve. The beef rice noodles were like I would make from a reg pan at home without, again, taste. They need that wok taste but it's not there So disappointed, not cheap either , easily $18 a plate Place was clean and looked decent but what good is that if the food is lousy?

The staff is super friendly and courteous :) ! We usually order the beef vermicelli soup, and a variety of dumplings :D ! They serve our food pretty promptly, with the soup still hot and tasty, and the dumplings steamy and savory :D ! My sister doesn't eat pork. So she typically orders dumplings that don't contain pork. I eat all kinds of meat. So I always order the pork and chive dumplings :D ! Whether you come in on a weekday or weekend, it always helps to come early if you can! If we want to go there for lunch, we try to get there as close to 11 am as possible when they first open. As it gets closer to 12 noon, it starts to get really busy, and it's harder and trickier for the staff to seat you. There is both booth and table seating. It's a great restaurant to catch up with friends, family or even colleagues over a good meal :) ! The parking lot out in front is a pretty decent size. But it can fill up pretty quickly when it gets busy! We also love ordering frozen dumplings to go :D ! For sure, we will definitely come back :D ! Kung Fu Noodle never disappoints :) !

We noticed the decor had changed (yes, I said it had been many years) and it was quite nice! We were seated promptly and placed our drink order (tea came with lunch). We ordered Rangoon as a starter. The lunch specials came with soup and egg roll, and fried rice. DH ordered his litmus test dish for American style Chinese- General Tso chicken. The portion was generous. The sauce was tasty. The chicken pieces tasted like your average frozen nuggets tossed in sauce. It's that familiar "seasoning" to the chicken and coating- iykyk. Not bad at all, just not the best. He enjoyed his egg drop soup. I opted for Hunan Beef. The sauce was thicker than I prefer, with an almost gelatinous consistency. The hot and sour soup was nice, a little more sour than hot. We both thought the fried rice that came with lunch was a little bland. Maybe the entree version is better? Each special was under $10, and it's definitely a great value.

It was the in between time of late lunch 2:30-3pm so we thought we would miss the Sunday afternoon church rush. The parking lot and restaurant was full but didn't let it scare us. Pro tip- you can hang outside and check out the koi fish in the pond to kill some time Sat down and drinks came out fast ordered dim sum which came out in the cute steam baskets first. Shrimp Shumai and pork bao buns were so good. My kids asked for seconds We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, spicy eggplant/tofu, shrimp& broccoli and the combination fried rice.
