I'll give it another chance because it's pretty new. I ordered a sourdough bread bowl with potato and cheese soup. I asked them if there was bacon in the soup and I said that I wasn't, I was glad since I'm vegetarian. Soup was very salty and did taste like bacon but maybe that was a spice. Bread bowl burnt. I got it to go so I didn't know in time to ask for a new one. Had to throw it away. It also wasn't dug out enough. Mac and cheese was cold by the time I got home about 10 min away. Nothing terrible, just not anything good either. I love the idea of bread bowl soups so I hope this changes. I didn't want to give a star rating. The food is really good, so far my family and I have tried the pastrami sandwich, chicken bbq flatbread , artichoke chicken flatbread (add pesto sauce) , clam chowder and it's all been so delicious. The sourdough is fresh tasting perfect combination of crunchy outside and fluffy inside! Is it pricey ? Sure but a welcomed addition to our treat day rotation. What a dellightful place to eat. I really love their menu. Its so simple and yet spells out everything you could add to your sandwich. Prices are very reasonable. I tried the reuben. The flatbreads are very good, but unfortunately, they put very little toppings on them, so I expressed that to them when I ordered from them again and I ordered three different flatbreads. The mushroom one came with about six mushrooms. The barbecue chicken came with about maybe seven pieces of chicken But the Italian one came with enough ingredients. And for the price 1799 a flatbread I think they should put a lot more ingredients on them. But they are very tasty. read more

I visited this place on/around Memorial Day. The ordering process was great, the lady at the register, that gave Owner type vibes was very pleasant, and welcoming. After I placed my order, I walked to the side and decided to sit on the ledge of the window, as opposed to taking up a seat for someone that may want to eat in the restaurant. All was well until a man came to throw his food in the trash can, and looked me dead in the face and said nothing (that will become significant later). About a minute later he approached the register and stood right next to the lady at the register, with his back towards me, WHILE she (the same woman that took my order) was taking the order of another customer. Now, to me, as a Business Owner myself, that is VERY unprofessional, and not a good look to customers. It's one of MY restaurant pet peeves. Anyway, I ignored it. Then, the way he ultimately glanced at me made me realize that he was in fact trying to block me from being able to watch the lady prepare the sandwiches. Keep in mind, the main reason I was sitting there was as mentioned above. I said nothing. Seconds later, he walked about 2-3 feet from the register, glanced at me and then went back to the same spot. This time, I moved over, because why would I want a constant view of your backside? Mind you when I went in, there was one guy sitting at the table, who was very nice actually and asked me if I wanted his seat. There was another guy that came after me, waiting in a seat to the back, and a few minutes later, another lady walked in (keep that in mine as I continue). At this point, the first guy at the very front table had left. Needless to say, the 3rd customer (the lady) that came in last, got her food, and as she was walking out, turned and looked at me, realizing that I was there before her and said to me, with a look of concern, "What did you order?" I told her, we engaged for a few seconds, she frowned and said, "I'm sorry," as if it was her fault -love her. During our very brief engagement, that man that was for some reason being so passive aggressive towards me, walked up to the door holding the door open for her, saying nothing, as if trying to get her to leave so we couldn't continue to engage, but still looking at me the entire time with a stare of contempt- why though? Anyway, at that time, and, ONLY at that time did the lady (the woman who took my order) say to me something like, "I'm sorry, we had bread issues, would you like a cookie?" I said, "No I'm good," so, then she offered me a drink, and I responded, "No, it's okay, I'm fine." About 3 seconds after, my 2 sandwiches, yes only 2, were ready. The "owner" looked at me with another attempt of pleasantry, apologized again, while the guy (maybe the husband/owner) held the door open, not as a kind gesture, but more as a, "Now leave" type emotion, with reluctancy and hesitance. Let's make it very clear that the entire time I sat on that ledge I said absolutely nothing, other than a no thank you to the gentleman who offered me his seat, and thank you to the lady who felt bad for leaving before me. I was actually in a slight daze of a stare lol, just thinking to myself. However, I was aware of that man's soft antics. The sandwiches were okay, but, nothing really stood out. Perhaps the "bread issues" that day had something to do with MY overall scenario. But, it only takes ONE bad customer service visit to kill the entire experience for ME. Hopefully no one in life will EVER have to deal with that type of silent emotion. read more

Yesterday Was my first time trying sourdough and co, highly recommend. The service was excellent, the food was 9/10, my only negative was the price, being a sandwich shop i expected it to be a little cheaper but regardless the food was really worth it. I ordered a chili bread bowl with my husband, and a bbq flatbread pizza. Both were excellent and both were recommended to us by the worker at the register, carson. He was extremely polite and patient with us, being that it was our first time. he couldn't recommend the chili enough! Carson also highly recommended the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, so we will be trying that next time. And he wasn't wrong in the slightest about the chili! fantastic food, nice ambiance, friendly staff and clean. While it may not be an every day spot due to the prices, it will be our occasional spot to treat ourselves in the future! Ordered the 6" toasted roast beef sandwich with Mac & cheese. Absolutely loved it (and the fire roasted mayo is really good too, just I would ask for extra next time)! As the name suggests, the sourdough is definitely a highlight, and I am already planning my next visit with getting a bread bowl chowder and trying a flatbread. We came here a few weeks ago, as my wife wanted to try it from a Instagram post she saw. We both really liked the sandwiches that we got. Didn't get to try the soups and it was a hot day. Came in today with my boyfriend after waiting so long for this place to open up near home. Was super excited to come!! First while walking you are greeted with a warm smile from everyone. We order two sandwiches and a soup bowl. I had a mixed experience. The soup was genuinely quite good, but I left feeling disappointed because of how my order was handled. I specifically asked whether the soup and sandwich could be ordered as a combo, and I was told yes. Naturally, I assumed that meant there would be some sort of combo pricing. However, when I received my receipt, everything was itemized separately at full price--there was no combo discount at all. I ended up paying for the soup and sandwich individually, which wasn't a financial problem, but it did feel misleading. If they don't actually offer combo pricing, they should clearly say so instead of simply agreeing when a customer uses the word "combo." The lack of transparency left a bad impression, which is unfortunate because the food itself had potential. A little clarity would have gone a long way. This makes me not want to eat here anymore. Nobody spoke to me for 5 minutes upon arrival. I ordered via DoorDash for pickup and the wait time was estimated 20ish minutes, but I did not receive my order until 57 minutes after it was put in. More than 30 minutes past the quoted time. No communication until I asked specifically about my order, and they said they had an oven issue. Well for one the pictures on the wall are no where near the same quantity that they actually serve. I got the 6 inch chicken wrap and I think maybe there was two spoonfuls at best and ten a ton of lettuce to make it look full. The wrap itself was crispy and dry. That cost me about $12.00. Then my husband had the clam chowder. He said it was ok, just warm not hot. Should have been a clue for him not to eat it. He got food poisoning, I woke to find him shivering with a fever early in the morning. Very cute place and concept. They need to do temp checks and more safety. They need to do more quality checks too especially if they plan to not have unhappy customers and for god sakes if your going to have pictures of these great looking sandwiches they should at least come close. This place is nothing short of amazing! Daily baked fresh sourdough bread! I've been here 2X, and both times were 5 experiences. The first time I got the tuna. My wife got the turkey pesto. The second time, I got the chicken salad sandwich. Both times I also tried the clam chowder. The clam chowder is the best since I went to visit Pismo beach/Monterrey a few years back. This seems to be primarily a family owned business in which they own a few of them. Such nice people. This is one of my new favorite stops and I can't wait to try more things here. read more

Last week I decided to try Sourdough & Co with my father. We walked in the restaurant and it was nice, it being brand new, and also very clean. There was a large menu on the wall, which was a bit overwhelming to be totally honest, but I decided on the Pesto Chicken sandwich. My dad got the #2. On reading the menu, seeing the smallest option was 4 inches was intriguing, as it sounded like it would be a rather small sandwich. Nonetheless both my father and I got a 4in and we also decided to share a small clam chowder. We placed our order and when our food was ready one of the employees brought our food out to us to go. This is a bit confusing as we had planned to eat in the restaurant. But it occurred to us that the cashier never asked if the food was for here or to go. So unfortunately, it was a waste of some containers because we were eating in. They managed to cut our 4in sandwich in half, or at least attempt to. The sandwich was not cut all the way through and I had to then pull the rest of my sandwich apart. Next time I would perhaps ask not to have my sandwich cut to prevent a messy dining experience. The sandwich itself was really good. I did get the Pesto sandwich and was expecting the pesto to be more of a paste, which is pretty typical, but to my surprise this one was a bit more saucy. The consistency was similar to coleslaw sauce and was actually really good but just something I would've maybe wanted to know beforehand. The 4in subs with a clam chowder turned out to be more than enough. It was the perfect amount of food for lunch. I would probably come back to give S&Co. another shot. Seeing as they're new, I'm sure they have a lot to do to get in the hang of things. With this establishment you pay a lot for some mediocre sandwiches. Was the food terrible? No but I would say it's on par with a jersey mikes or something similar. What was crazy was that my wife and I decided to try this spot and we ordered 2 sandwich meals (with chips and a regular drink) the came out to $50?! I could understand if it was a true sit down restaurant with servers and such but it's not. It's another Jersey Mikes but with crazy prices.
