I've been taking improv classes here for the last year! And it's been the most fun to be playing make believe with grown ups! 10/10 recommend the classes. Coldtowne has a vibrant community from all walks of life and everyone is truly welcome here, just as they are. An inclusive space full of every flavor of weirdo (myself included) and I am HERE FOR IT Shows Thurs-Sundays, free jams, and there's stand up and workshops and classes. You can grab drinks or snacks at the bar. Shows are $10-30 (bargain) to see local and big act comedy. Coldtowne is actually HOT SHIT. Lvoe this space. Trust.

This facility is BYOB and there is conveniently a liquor store right next-door that you can buy drinks to bring to the show. I really enjoyed the comics that performed last night. There was a good mixture of subjects and types of humor. The crowd is intimate and the comics engaged with the crowd in a fun way. This is definitely a comedy club. I will return to and I wanna make sure everyone is aware it is there so we can support them!

Dude was incendiary (to use my wife's term) and funny, My wife and I were laughing for most of his set and the guy at a table in front of us almost never stopped laughing. The place is small and a long time fixture here in Austin, you order drinks from a QR code at the table but no minimums drink limits which is nice. It is a fun stop and you never know who you will see or what style of comedy you will get.

When the show ended, they evacuated everyone to make space for the next show, which I understand as it's business, but I would've liked to stay and mingle a little bit. Its hard when places are small and can only accommodate a specific number of people. However, the experience was great and we had a great time. Laughed a lot! They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

The Wyldwood is a couple's home they open up to host various local musicians, you have to get a reservation since seating is limited so think about that before you go. You pay ten, fifteen bucks or whatever you can pay to get in and fine a seat in the grassy yard. They have free hot dogs for the kiddies but I recommend bringing a picnic basket a maybe a bottle of wine or whatever it is you may drink. Because of the limited people, shows at the Wyldwood are up close an personal and feel like, well, you are just hanging out with a musician in a back yard... which you are! If you have not experienced this place yet I highly recommend it, bring a picnic basket and plop down for an amazing show!
