    Mini Dubai Chocolate Bowl
    Ashlee S.

Sweet Treat at South Block I stopped by South Block and tried the Dubai Chocolate açaí bowl in the mini size . I swapped the bananas on top for blueberries and added chia seeds + collagen protein . The strawberries and blueberries were super fresh, and I really enjoyed the Dubai chocolate flavor. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the actual blend having a little too much banana for my taste. Still, it was really delicious and the perfect portion size . Ordering was easy thanks to their self-service kiosk . I waited while my bowl was prepared, and the space itself is a nice size with great lighting--perfect for anyone who wants to eat in or even work from there . As for the service, it was fine in terms of timing , but the interaction felt a little off. The woman who made my bowl just called my name, placed it on the counter, and walked away. When I mentioned I had asked for it to be a to-go order, she pointed at the tops and bags and told me I could do it myself ‍. It wasn't hard, but the way she waved me off didn't sit right--it would've been nice if she had just finished it to-go. Overall, tasty bowl , solid space, but service could use a little more warmth .

I arrived around 7:30am. They're open at 7am Monday- Friday. You can order at the counter or other two touchscreens that are provided as soon as you walk in. I ordered an açaí bowl and a smoothie. The smoothie took me all day to finish. It may be because I had eaten already and was just too full to finish it. The flavor was OK, but it wasn't my favorite. If I went again, I think I would get something different.

Excellent customer service! Friendly staff who greeted me as I walked in. As advised by others, I preordered my bowl via the South Block app. When the order was ready, I went to pick it up from the store. This was my first time trying the Loaded PBJ bowl and while the toppings / fruit were great (as always), the açaí wasn't what I expected/familiar with compared to the traditional way. The almond milk was more overpowering and I could barely taste the berries. However, that doesn't mean that this place isn't worth visiting. It's just a matter of trying different bowls to see what works for you/like or love. For example, my favorite/highly recommend is the mango sunshine smoothie bowl The store itself is very nice, neatly designed, and plenty of places to sit. Upon entering the store, it's easy to see the section where you can retrieve your order from the refrigerator. I will revisit and try another bowl.

During a recent stay in Crystal City, I was thrilled to see this smoothie and bowl place within a very short walk of our hotel. It made for a great lunch one day. We each got a smoothie that was tasty, super healthy and hit the spot. Like some others have mentioned, the wait seemed a bit on the long side but of course it takes time to hand craft the bowls. That said, I'll be looking to patronize this South Block and others in the DC area on one of my frequent trips there.

I've been a customer for about 9years! I first found this place because I'm from Brazil home of the Açaí, and on my craving hunt to find a good açaí place I found SOUTH BLOCK! Outside of Brazil this is the most legit you will find in the area! The base of the bowl is made with creamy açai puree, blended to a smooth, velvety consistency. It's a perfect canvas for a variety of toppings, which can range from granola, fresh fruits like bananas and berries, to superfoods like chia seeds, coconut flakes, and peanut butter. The blend of toppings adds both texture and additional bursts of flavor, making each bite a rewarding experience. Whether you're in the mood to enjoy your bowl on the go or to relax and savor it in-house, the space offers a comfortable, relaxed vibe. The use of natural lighting and the open layout make it feel inviting.

Stopped in for a smoothie and it took over 10 minutes. I didn't stop in to hang out, I came for a smoothie. Smoothie was good when I finally got it but nothing extraordinary. The staff was nice, but they also didn't hear that my name was John and called a smoothie for Jin which I've had to ask if they meant John a few minutes later which of course they did. Five stars for being the worlds slowest smoothie. And it's not because it's "made from scratch".

Love south block! I've been to several locations multiple times, but this national landing one is my most visited for sure. I love their Nutella bowl, pb&j bowl with Nutella mixed in (credit to my friend Rhea for this idea), health nut smoothie and mermaid smoothie. I usually add collagen powder in as well for some added protein. This location specifically is super friendly and really quick with making my orders. It's definitely a morning staple for me!

I'm becoming a fan of this place. I think they do great with their flavors. While I've only been there a few times, I've always left happy. The staff are friendly and the place is clean. The one criticism is parking. If you live close by like I do then there's no problem going. If not, then you have to hope you can find street parking or a nearby garage. I usually go for a PBJ profile so my last trip was the loaded PBJ. Delicious.

I really like the set up here. You can order to go with a kiosk or at the cashier station. You can also purchase pre made juices, snacks, & over health knick knacks. They have smooties, smoothie bowls, as well as some light bites for breakfast. I ordered the Aloha Bowl. It had fresh pineapple, strawberries, & coconut on top of a açaí blend. Very yummy. Some bar seating overlooking the street along with space on the patio for sitting outside. Look forward to coming back and trying their other bowls!

The food here is very good. The place is very cute. It's in a cute little nook of the city and the food is super fresh and the employees are nice. A perfect little healthy lunch.

Its warm, clean design makes it quite welcoming for enjoying avocado toast with smoked salmon, which brings one to a place of spiritual oneness. With white walls, natural wood-grain tables and countertops, Toastique's design radiates minimalist, urban style while remaining inviting. Any time I have been there, the wait times have been stress-free, and the queues move quickly. Food-wise, you can't go wrong with their avocado toast with smoked salmon. With a generous portion of smoked salmon on top of avocado mash, on perfectly toasted sourdough bread, creating a place of tremendous well-being. The cucumbers, marinated tomatoes, red onion, capers, and a sprinkle of microgreens make for a fully satisfying meal without feeling like you are overdoing it with your life choices. Drink-wise, I always go for cold brew and the cold brew never lets me down there. Last time, they had a peanut-butter cold brew and a black cherry one, both of which were magical. This Toastique delivers every time.

We hoped to find a place that offered decaf coffee since it was late in the day, but really wanted something warm since it was a bit chilly outside. Unfortunately, this location of Toastique does not offer decaf - they only have a single hopper for their coffee, so it is not an offering. We were going to find another place, however, they said how about a hot chocolate or a tea. My friend is vegan and inquired if their hot cocoa was vegan, as most places have dairy in the chocolate. The cashier went to look at the chocolate syrup and also had another person look at it to verify it's vegan. My friend ordered a hot chocolate with oat milk. Even though it was busy, we only waited about 5 minutes for her drink. We appreciated the effort to double check it was vegan, though I do wish they had decaf options.
