After a dealership completely misdiagnosed the issue with my car (and quoted me a sky-high repair that didn't even address the real problem), I brought it to Honest Tom's--and I am SO glad I did. Went to Honest Toms in Sterling, VA after a check engine light and misfires. They ended up…read morereplacing my fuel injectors ($3000). They have to remove all the intake components to get to the rear bank because it's a transverse engine, so I get there's going to be extra man hours involved. The problem is that the work of putting it back together definitely seemed rushed once I got in and starting looking around. The upper intake manifold has a bolt on the back to keep it stable. That was missing. The foam cover of the high pressure fuel pump that sits on top of the valve cover was missing, and the main underbody splash guard cover was missing. I guess it was too much effort to the put those back. The upper intake manifold bolts had 2 that were heavily stretched and deformed and these are not Torque to Yield bolts. And one was cross threaded. I had to use a thread chaser to fix that one and replaced the others. This all really makes me wonder what else they didn't do or didn't bother trying to do. I'm looking it over really well now to make sure they didn't leave off anything important. They acted like they were doing me a huge favor knocking 50 bucks off the price but honestly I would have rather had them charge $5 more to replace the bad and/or lost bolts.

Yes, there can be a wait at times, and it can be frustrating but they do their best. And that's to be expected at a busy shop and the quality of the service makes it worth it. I especially wanted to recognize two employees who truly stood out during my most recent visit. Jose, who performed my brake fluid service and cabin air filter replacement. He was very friendly, approachable, knowledgeable, and clearly takes pride in his work. He answered my questions, explained everything well and made me feel confident that my vehicle was in good hands. I also want to recognize Samantha at the front counter. She was awesome, great personality welcoming, and kind to every customer who walked through the door. What impressed me the most was watching her go out of her way to speak Spanish with several Hispanic customers, even though Spanish is not her first language. She didn't have to do that, but she is teaching herself Spanish so she can better serve others. To me, that speaks volumes about her commitment to excellent customer service. Both Jose and Samantha worked incredibly hard during my visit and made the experience a positive one. Employees like them deserve recognition because they represent outstanding customer service.

Probably my first negative review and interaction with shop owner or employee. there were few shops…read morenext to each other and I parked under sign of dad's garage to see to figure out which shop to go to fix my tire . After i asked him and said he can't fix my tire asked me to move my car because his customers coming while he had two other spots open . He could have said we don't do tires but we do offer some other services if you need it in the future and maybe one day they could have earned another customer . I understand there are probably some other people park and leave their car and not going to their business but that conversation could have been a lot different!

Expect quality and honesty, not cheap or dishonest service. Family owned, not franchised or dealership owned. They stand by their workmanship and warranty service. It's sometimes difficult to line up a loaner car, and concierge and drop-off service were started and discontinued at some point, but at least there are a couple of loaner cars available for customers. If you do need to wait for service, there's a cute little kids room, a fish tank, a regular waiting room, refreshments and a coffee bar. Super clean, inviting, and not "dingy repair shop" vibes. Can't go wrong with Casey's! Highly recommend.
