The options for food before security are sparse and this was the only option for an actual entree meal. The restaurant should really be set up for counter service instead of table "service". You seat yourself, you order from your phone, and pay from your phone. The only interaction with staff was when they delivered the food. The food runner/bartender was polite but not really welcoming. I ordered the chicken salad and was severely disappointed. My expectations were low but actual meal was worse. The food is premade and plopped on a plate with a handful of chips. The chicken salad was watery which diluted what little flavor it had. Southerners should be appalled that this chicken salad is being served. The soda was flat and the syrup mix needs to be recalibrated. Skip this place if you can. If you absolutely need a meal, order chicken fingers. It is hard to mess those up. read more

One of the few places you can sit down and eat at the airport. There are better food options outside the airport if you plan it that way. Overall the experience was better than I read. The paperless menu worked fine and the service was pretty quick. Small menu mainly bar food. Burger, chicken sandwich, wraps, a few salad choices and appetizers like wings and pretzels. I was a little bold and went with the cesar salad. It was pretty good. I liked the shredded chicken vs the chunks. There was a generous amount of sliced parmesan cheese. The dressing was on the side so it was not overdressed. The other folks ordered burgers and chicken strips. Those will all fine as well. I come to the airport every 6 weeks to either drop my man off or pick him up. We usually stop here for a drink before he leaves, and depending on how his flight is returning, timewise, I might sit here and have a drink while I wait. Currently they only have 5 menu items, burgers, wings, salad, waffle fries.... The staff is always friendly and usually remembers us when we come. The food and the ambiance were perfectly fine for an airport. Portion sizes are average, not large. Caesar salad was good and I like the fry that I sampled from my husband. Two criticism: The restaurant does not have a high chair. This is an easy fix and I would encourage the restaurant to get one so that parents can comfortably eat with their small children. (A kids menu would be nice too. If you are hungry, you will want to eat your whole meal which won't leave much for your child. We have a one-year-old and weren't that hungry so she was able to eat our leftovers. If your kid is a toddler, you will need to buy a separate meal for them or be prepared to still be hungry after you share your meal.) read more

He was polite, efficient, and accommodating, even though the restaurant was closing shortly after I arrived. Christopher even went out of his way to wish me a Happy Birthday when he spotted me in the airport the next day because of a postponed flight. We came here since it was the only restaurant in the Savannah Airport. Wanted to eat lunch with my husband before his deployment. I felt terribly sorry for the waitress. She was the only one working and the place was packed. I don't know why they'd do that to her. She tried so hard to to keep up, but really it was impossible and that just makes a hard day for someone because you have a lot hole restaurant of people who are upset. I was waiting for a camera crew and Ashton Kutcher to come out...but to my dismay, the experience was real. Do yourself a favor and get a pre-made sandwich or wrap elsewhere in the airport, and it will be 10x better and much cheaper than this restaurant. We waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Thankfully, we weren't in a hurry. The burger looked like a frozen patty that gets reheated. Honestly, McDonalds or any fast food chain does a better burger. The meat on the chicken sandwich was a small step up, but still pretty awful. The wait staff didn't know which order went with which table (Even though there are numbers associating the QR code order with the table). The only positive part of our experience was that the drinks came without much wait. Management needs to source higher quality ingredients and beef up the menu. Visited for a comedy night on Thursday past. It is inside the brewery, so it was sort of a minimalist vibe. No food, would love if there were some snacks, at least. Had a Mountain Jam, which was good. I have had other beers of theirs, and wanted to visit for a while. Bartender was polite and attentive. Bathrooms were closed, had to go next door to the axe-throwing place. This was not a big deal to me, as neither place was very busy. I feel certain that their bathrooms will be fixed soon, so I am still giving it 5 stars. Overall a good experience, and I will go back! :) read more

Do not come here to kill time before your flight or you will most likely miss it! Frustrated that allegiant wouldn't let us check into our flight until 6:15pm we decided to spend our hour of waiting at Southbound Taphouse which was the ONLY restaurant before going through security. We waited at least 10 minutes before someone came to take our order. During this 10 minute wait we noticed many customers were frustrated and waiting for their food, checks, or drinks to be refilled. Knowing we were limited on time we decided to get appetizers and grab food once we had gotten through security. We waited about 45 minutes for our mediocre nachos and quesadillas to come out. It wasn't until our food came out that we finally saw our waitress again. By this time we had already been to the bar to get drink refills. We didn't even have enough time to finish our food before we had to leave and check into our flight. Unfortunately, we wasted another 30 minutes waiting to check into our flight and another 30 to get through security to find out that the restaurant we wanted to get more food from was closed and the others didn't have working cash registers, had long lines we didn't have time to wait in, or only had limited parts of their menu available. So here I am. starving as I endure a flight home to a place where all of the restaurants will be closed by the time I land. read more

It's not fine dining, but my personal experience was positive. My flight was delayed, so I thought I'd get some dinner. I barely made it on time, as the kitchen closes at 7 PM! So if you are hanging around for a late flight, forget about getting food after 7:00 PM here. But you can still get drinks. My server was very friendly. My wine was really good (Nielsen Pinot Noir-has good ratings). Since the kitchen was almost closed, the grill was not available. I ordered a chicken Caesar salad. It was served on a plastic plate, but I must say that it was really delicious! This restaurant is located right before you go through security. The wait staff was kind, but only peripherally checked on me. I ordered the nachos, not something I'd usually order, but an item that is universally easy to make and even when done so-so, they are tolerable. The nachos came on a plate with the liquid cheese half way on the chips, half way dripping off the edge. It was cold to room temperature. In fact the entire plate was cold. The chicken looked like about 1/2 of a chicken breast. The lettuce was in large wilted pieces. The pico was nonexistent. The flavor was stale corn chip, mixed with the metallic taste of cheese in a can. Clearly the kitchen either doesn't care or wasn't prepared this morning.
