I read the reviews and came early on a Sunday. At 11am, there wasn't a line. We had a very friendly cashier (this is an order at the door place) and picked a few sandwiches, soup, fries, and ice cream! I devoured the chicken sandwich. The oranges and fennel made it such an elevated dish. Don't sleep on the lemon soup, it was the best I've ever had. The garlic yogurt fry dip was exceptional. I love that you can pay for your ice cream when you purchase your meal and then skip the line to retrieve it once you finish your entrees. Love the tart ice cream taste, this is like nothing I've had before. The restaurant is gorgeous and on themes. Very peaceful vibes. Overall, this is competing for one of our favorite places in Marin. It's so nice to have a Souvla option outside of SF! This location is really cute - it has a large, heated, dog-friendly outdoor patio and a dining room feel inside. You order at the counter, take a number, and they bring the food out for you. The service was pretty good, but a bit slow. The line got really long in the evening, so be prepared to wait. Just so you know, I am a big fan and so excited they are in Marin :) Terrific simple Greek menu so you don't have to lose yourself in a thousand choices. Lamb,Chicken,Veg, etc protein, salad or wrap, great soup, fries and potatoes! And save room for the best Greek frozen yogurt! Simple and clean interior, which I saw at night so I'm sure it's bright and sunny during the day. The service was spot on and I felt attended to. Location is perfection with tons of parking and outdoor seating. There's indoor seating too if you prefer. The interior is gorgeous with meat cooking right when you walk in. There was likely less than a spoon of the yogurt harissa in the whole wrap. We asked for more sauce and paid extra for it. It helped with the dryness but still didn't taste good. The wildflower honey frozen yogurt had a drizzle of honey on top that you finish in the first couple of spoons because it freezes and cant be mixed (makes sense), alas, you'll be eating 98% plain yogurt if you're into that. one of the servers was exceptionally cold and rude. Delicious food, My husband and I went on a Sunday afternoon and the outdoor seating was full, but there was space inside so we sat there. At this restaurant, you order at the front desk area and are given a number. You can sit wherever you like. It took only about 5 minutes between waiting in line and finding a seat. We dropped by for lunch on a cool January day, and found everything was ok, but nothing special. It's an informal place, you order up front and get a number for your table. The food came quickly, and dishes were cleared pretty quickly by a polite, helpful young man. Indoor seating is rather chilly in winter, as the front doors are left wide open. Outdoor seating was nicer, with heaters -- though beware when it rains, the outdoor roof is not watertight. In general, everything was fresh and well-prepared, however I didn't think the food was particularly authentic or interesting. The pork and lamb did not taste marinated, and flavors were rather plain. There are California touches, like pickled onion instead of red onion. The pork salad was about 50% kale, which I've never seen in Greek dishes before. Avgolemono soup was very good. The fries were very good. The white wine from Crete was pretty average. No tzatziki sauce anywhere. So it is an ok place for lunch, but honestly there are many better Greek restaurants in the bay area. I don't think we'll be back, except perhaps to get a roast chicken take out for dinner. read more

Ordered pork sandwich (wrap) and cherry soda. The sandwich arrived, but no soda. I told the server as he was on his way back to the counter. He said he would get it. I saw him go back and talk to people, and then leave. I went to the counter and got the soda. The sandwich wrapping was covered in olive oil, which dripped off when I tried to open the wrapping. There was no olive oil on the sandwich, just the wrapping. The sandwich had big chunks of pork, 4 of which were chunks of fat. The sandwich was very dry. I opened it up and saw what appeared to be a small dab of yogurt on one end. Tomatoes, onion, cucumber and feta cheese were plentiful and fresh. I was there at 2 pm on a weekday. I love the food here and eat here often. However, yesterday i watched a woman with a large white dog at the order counter and the dog kept hopping onto its back legs to fully put its head and paws on the counter while the woman looked at the menu and ordered. The cashier said nothing. After the woman left, the cashier failed to clean the counter. About 15 minutes later, the woman and dog were at the water station and the dog did the same. I've been a huge fan of Souvla since they opened on Hayes in San Francisco. Their newest location in Larkspur Landing is my absolute favorite location of all. All the same delicious dishes I've always loved, but this location has much more space indoors and out. The service has always been great at Souvla and this location is no exception. My new favorite Greek food joint! My lamb salad was delicious, filling and full of flavor. Healthy green Dino kale, crunchy romaine, cucumbers, mandolin sliced radishes, feta cheese, pickled red onion perfectly coated in Greek sauce. The lamb was cut into smaller pieces which I like because I could just started shoveling when I'm in hurry and don't want to bother with a knife. What I found pleasant was that my salad was cold while the meat was nice and warm. I sampled the Greek yougurt (baklava) also delicious! Atmosphere is casually "tasteful", clean and beautiful plus the area is nice to take a walk around the shoppes. I will be back to order the fries because they look good too! read more

We were excited to see a new location come closer to us in Marin after many wonderful experiences in SF. We ordered lunch through DoorDash during the opening week. My girlfriend had the chicken salad while I had the lamb sandwich, both our usuals, and we had the Greek fries to share. We knew this location was brand new and might be subject to inconsistency or lack of experience but we were impressed by the overall quality of our lunch, and fast delivery. My lamb shoulder sandwich was delicious as always. The chicken salad was so complex and flavorful that it converted me, who always gets the lamb or pork shoulder sandwich to venture beyond my usual. Used to love Souvla, but have found it to be very greasy lately. Usual go to order is either a chicken sandwich or salad, on a lamb set up and extra crispy fries with granch. Potatoes with the chicken drippings are also good. I've had the veg sandwich before, too, but found it needed more texture- more crunch would round this option out well. Water is self-service. Menu never changes. Food comes out pretty fast. Pretty busy and the heaters are nice. The restaurant is maintained and clean. Would rate this a 3.5 stars but will round up to 4 stars as staff is nice. read more
