Chicken wrap (aka sandwich on the menu)
    Kristine K.

I like getting the salads (favorites are pork shoulder with red onion & feta, and chicken with fennel & orange) and frozen Greek yogurt (favorite is sour cherry after my trip to Greece last year). Everything is fresh and authentic, and the service and ambiance are pleasant. I have noticed over several visits that the rotisserie roasted meats can be inconsistent so some pieces here & there can be tough (particularly when I order the lamb so now I just stick to the pork or chicken), but I still always enjoy my salads. I haven't tried the soup or wine yet as I tend to go on warm days or work lunches, but I would definitely like to try them at a future visit.

Yum! I love this Souvla location so much. It's a great spot for a sunny day whether shopping or taking the ferry from the city. When you walk in, you are greeted and the staff are friendly and helpful. They have a really simple and fresh menu that makes it easy to order a favorite. Mine is always the veg salad. My dad had the lamb sandwich which is a wrap. The portions are big so plan on taking leftovers home for another meal! It's so worth it!

Quick service and very fresh food. Chicken was moist and juicy and the greens in the salad was fresh. Fries were crunchy and pillowy inside. Outdoor dining was fantastic with a view of the bay.

I have passed by the restaurant a number of times, putting it on my rotation of places to eat. I was waiting for my husband to finish with his appointment so I ordered the lamb salad at the counter, adding garlic fries on top. So much for my vow to stay low carb. It was mid-afternoon, quiet and warm, so I sat down outside, perfect for people watching. A server brought a large bowl of perfectly dressed greens with chunks of lamb, and a healthy addition of crisp garlic fries. The salad is a generous portion, more than I could eat at one sitting. It started getting to warm outside for me so I moved inside. Hubby finished his appointment and joined up with me, finishing what I could not. We ended with a small bowl of their plain, Greek frozen yogurt. It was perfect, just the right amount of tang. From start to finish, everyone I engaged with (order taker, food server and manager) were friendly and professional. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu.

Incredible salad, even if I asked for no onions. Very filling. And the chicken is tender and flavorful. Great variety of greens, too. The Frozen Greek Yogurt is a must, too. Order it with your lunch, but pick it up at the window when you're ready for dessert! Great idea! Plenty of seating inside and out on the shared patio. Plenty of parking, as well, but be prepared to walk on a busy weekend day.

Delicious and refreshing chicken salad. Paired nicely with a glass of rose. Quick service and a beautiful location in Larkspur Landing. I'll be back to try their frozen yogurt.

This is my first time actually eating food at Souvla! Usually in SF I just come here for the frozen yogurt. The chicken salad was so refreshing but filling. I'm normally not a fan of salad actually but this was really good! I also really liked the garlic fries, very thick and potato-y. The juicy potatoes were alright, but I wouldn't get them again because they are too oily for my liking. It's in a nice shopping area with lots of space.

I come here two things. The chicken Salad and the lemon orzo soup. Hands down the most tastiest food I have come across. The chicken in the salad is marinated very well and with the mandarin orange flavor just perfectly blends together. Though it is like a $20 salad. I will eat here everyday if I could. The soup is the best as well and very yummy. I literally have not tried anything because of how good these two are. The service is always pretty decent. This place is very beautiful restaurant. Just decor and in a great outdoor mall.

Simply elegant setting, prompt service and excellent quality at a great price point in Larkspur landing make this Greek eatery a real winner. Athena herself would call stopping for lunch at Souvla a wise decision. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are big enough to satisfy, share or take some home for a midnight snack. I had the chicken wrap which surprised my palate with bursts of citrus zestiness to complement the savory flavors. My husband went for the hearty and huge lamb wrap and loved every morsel. The crunch of the radish added another texture dimension. Bonus points for a happy hour Dionysus would relish, from 3-6pm -- wines are $10 and mezzes are discounted too!

Located in Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, this place serves either a sandwich or salad featuring chicken, beef, lamb, or vegetable (I think what type or where the source is differs periodically...I'm not sure). I chose to get their chicken salad with a side of Greek fries (choice of harissa, garlic, ranch, and other dressings I forgot the name of). For a fast food place, this is pretty good. Flavorful and not dry. You can either eat indoors (music from speakers) or outdoors (fans in case it's a hot day). This time, the chicken served is "Freebird All-Natural Chicken", and it is served with fennel, navel orange, pickled red onions, pea shoots, and Mizithra cheese, with "Granch" dressing". I'd like to try the others next time. I'm glad I visited!

The bowl had a great mix of fresh ingredients, from crisp veggies to perfectly seasoned grains and sauces that tied everything together so well. The beef itself was super tender and cooked perfectly, which really stood out. My friend's lamb pita was just as good it was juicy, flavorful, and wrapped up with all the right toppings. We both kept saying how it reminded us of Cava in SoCal--it's honestly a pretty close dupe, which I loved. The only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I wish there was a bit more meat in the portions. That said, the quality definitely made up for it since everything was so well-prepared and satisfying. Overall, it's a great go-to spot if you're craving something fresh, filling, and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back!

I have mixed feelings about Souvla, like maybe I ordered the wrong thing? I had the chicken sandwich: It lacked flavor, puzzling since it has bold flavors of fennel, pickled onions and orange. The chicken was finely shredded and plentiful, it just had no taste and it was dry. My son loved his lamb gyro which disappeared in an instant (his big eyes signaled he wanted my sandwich too- I handed it over.) The fries with Greek cheese were great and still hot when we arrived home. The frozen yogurt with olive oil and salt was pucker-your-mouth delicious. Next time we'll dine al fresco and kick back and people watch - and I'll pick something new off the menu. Service could not have been friendlier and food prep, fast! I booked our table about a month in advance, which turned out to be the right move because the restaurant was bustling during the lunch hour. To start, we ordered four small plates to share among our party of four: meatballs, saganaki, spanakotiropita, and a pair of dips (melitzanosolata and favasalata) with pita. Everything was excellent, and our spread was inclusive of a wide variety of flavors and textures: salty, creamy, acidic, sweet, crunchy. The meatballs and the dips are definitely a must-order and are ideal for sharing. The spanakotiropita were larger and more filling than expected, so if I were to order those again, I'd dial it back and stick with small plates rather than a full-sized entree. The saganaki was a showstopper; it is served sizzling and crackling on a cast iron dish and had a nice salty flavor that allowed the cheese to be served on its own. For my main dish, I ordered the braised goat - which is not something I'd typically order because goat meat is usually tough - but I was intrigued how it was prepared as a stew. The dish almost reminded me of a Moroccan tagine - the goat was braised to peak tenderness and bathed in a slightly fruity and well-spiced sauce; dotted with pieces of melted feta; and served on top of a bed of baked orzo, which was served fresh-from-the oven in a mini cast iron dish. I was so full after our meal that I had to walk it off for a few blocks, but I cannot wait for our next special occasion so we can come back and celebrate with another feast at Kokkari Estiatorio.
