Light on flavor but sometimes that's what you want. It was served with lots of sliced beef. The tteok-bokki is not my favorite dish but everyone seemed to like it. Lots of sausage, thick pieces of sliced pork, and the cylinder shaped rice cakes topped with ramen. The sauce tastes like fancy ketchup to me. Definitely not my thing. The banchan was light with four small dishes but my favorites like kimchi and bean sprouts were there. I would definitely come back especially if I'm ever in the area. My son really loves their beef brisket. My favorite bbq dishes are wine pork belly, beef short plate, beef short rib and shrimp. Their small dishes are really good too. I recommend frieddumplings, edamame, steamed eggs and you won't believe it their pineapple slices( very fresh and sweet). On a not too warm day I'd like to finish the meal with a soup, either soon tofu or the miso soup. The restaurant is a good size. It's clean and organized. During summer time, it's going to feel a bit warm inside due to the heat of the grills, regardless of how much ac is used. My suggestion is to drink plenty of cold water which the restaurant does provide happily. Service is usually fast. They will come around to change the grill plate, and take in the new order. It's a proper place to solve your bbq craving without having to drive too far if you live around the Thousand Oaks area.
