Pandan waffle is deep flavor--not really mochi texture, but a true waffle texture. Combination #8 definitely had a variety but would love to have more toppings rather than the tofu pudding. Service people were timely.

I came for their BOGO matcha drinks. It was alright, the drink was quite bitter for me even after stirring it up, only the banana pudding matcha was not bitter

Soyful Desserts, the OG. It has stood the test of time with many competitors around every corner. It's just a walk up window to order from. They do offer a couple of tables and chairs outside to sit down and relax. I really like the Japanese pudding here.

Coconut matcha was very refreshing. Even had coconut meat. The Creamy milk tea was sooo good with egg pudding too! Just needed extra ice and it would have been perfect!

Soyful is one of my go-to boba spots in San Jose! Tucked along Story Road, it might not be the easiest place to find parking but honestly, it's worth the hassle The service is always friendly, though it's usually just one person working, so things can move a little slow during peak hours. Still, they always take their time to make the drinks right, and I appreciate that. Their Creamy Rose Milk Tea is one of my absolute favorites -- smooth, floral, and not too sweet. It's one of those drinks that keeps you coming back. The menu isn't huge, but they focus on doing their drinks well. If you're looking for a chill boba spot with quality drinks and don't mind a little wait or hunt for parking, Soyful is definitely worth checking out!

Soy desserts have a special place in my heart. I've had all different types across Asia and you just can't go wrong with one. The soy tofu pudding is the perfect vessel for any creative topping you can think of. I like Soyful desserts. There are not many stores like this one around anymore. Causal. Quick service. Please come and create your own experience.

The parking situation is usually more packed on weekends if you want to go. You can't really go into the store. It's more of a walk-up window where you can order and receive the drinks from, but there are surrounding seats and tables to sit on. There's one person working there, and they were pretty nice, and they came out with the drinks quickly. We ordered a: - Creamy Milk Tea (4/5): More creamy than tea taste. The only way I can describe the taste is if you've ordered an 'ice cream black tea' from Gong Cha, but with a creamier, custard-y taste. - Coffee Foam (5/5): Has a thicker texture compared to the Creamy MT. My boyfriend says that it has a very strong coffee taste, saying it's both bitter and sweet at the same time, and prefers the creamy MT more. I think I'd prefer it when I make coffee, though I tasted a creamier, milkier flavor than coffee.

I ordered the pandan waffle. It was okay. I felt it lacked the coconut flavor I'm used to. The banana matcha was good. It would be great if there were an option to request less sugar. The only option was "standard". Service was fast and friendly, and the boba shop is clean with plenty of seating to enjoy a drink with friends or family.

The drinks are super sweet. I feel like I was straight up drinking sugar syrup. Even after adjusting the sweetness level, it was still very sweet.

place is tucked in the corner and is very small! you can miss it with ease. my cousin lives there #1 and always buys it when we're in the area we arrived in the area around 5:25pm and checked to see if soyful desert was open. luckily we had 5 minutes before it closed. instead of parking at the dinner spot, we drove straight to soyful dessert. no body was at the front and 3 parties including myself stood there for a few minutes. one party left and the other (man in front of me) rang the bell A LOT to finally hear a woman say coming! (in a sweet voice) he placed his order then i placed mine. $7 dollars later i have a medium size #1 with egg pudding. i was never asked what size, so maybe they only have one size? just know just have every short working hours. monday - closed tuesday to friday - 2pm-6pm saturday to sunday 12pm-8pm i have no idea how they're still up and running when typically people work 8-5 on weekdays. their sign literally says to go to the silver creek location if you want longer hours. that's just wild. but they're managing i guess so it works for them.

It's my first time coming back here in years and they have some of the most slept on drinks in the bay. I always order the Creamy Milk Tea and add Japanese pudding to it. That drink is definitely top 3 in the Bay. I heard the Hong Kong milk tea is good too so I have to try this out when I find the time to go to Vietnam Town. There's only outdoor seating, there's not much of a good view and there's limited tables.

Soyful has been one of my favorite boba spots in San Jose, but all of a sudden, it's just my favorite now! San Jose is saturated with boba spots; sometimes, they all taste the same, depending on what you get. I was in Vietnam Town for Thanksgiving and stopped by Soyful to have my girlfriend try it. We ordered at the window and ordered their classic Creamy Milk Tea with Japanese pudding. The Japanese pudding gives the milk tea some nice texture, and I don't feel the need to add boba, too! I don't know how to describe the drink, but it's perfect. This could be a drink for nonmilk tea fans or people unfamiliar with boba drinks due to the perfect sweetness and milky taste.

I haven't been here in a few years since before COVID but I randomly thought I'd give this place a try again the other day. This place is a small outdoor stand by Bình Minh. This place was just as I remembered, the Creamy Milk Tea with egg pudding is a go to along with their tofu drinks! The only reason I'm giving this 4 stars is because the boba was kinda hard and they weren't chewy. Along with that there's only one person managing so it's kinda slow.

It's my first time at this location and there's plenty of parking right outside. The store is so spacious. There were people studying and playing card games. Perfect place to sit and yapp where it's not overwhelming. It was a vibe in there and it's super clean as well. We easily ordered on the kiosk. There were so many great options to choose from. I ordered the double matcha and my friend got the hojicha. The drinks came out in 5 minutes. The double matcha was so good. Just the right creaminess and sweetness (I got regular sugar). It was a Wednesday and Devin and I were looking to make it a productive work day. We stopped by later in the afternoon. There is ample seating but most of the booths were occupied when we arrived so we sat at a table. Club music was being played loudly so working here would not be ideal if you have to present in meetings. The tropical paradise fruit tea would've been better with a topping or two, but in an attempt to cut down on calories consumed I've began getting drinks without toppings. Unfortunately fruit tea without toppings is just not the same, but this was totally my choice and on me. The WiFi worked well. There are some outlets under the booths but none at the tables. I've been to other Rose Tea Lounge locations and I'd say that this one is definitely more club-like than others. Not the ideal place to work remotely by any means, but that's not to say that the drinks are bad or ambiance is poor. If you're looking to chat and catch up with friends, this spot would be a good choice.

In this case, one of these spots is Arisan. Since Matcha has exploded in popularity to my annoyance, (I say this because I was into Matcha before it started trending), I had to try. Once inside, everything looks aesthetically pleasing with seating on either side up against the walls. The layout is clean and non cluttered which I can appreciate from a design standpoint. The menu is clearly displayed on the countertop and it's nice to see that you still have an actual person to take your order. No iPad ordering here. Please keep it that way! I also loved the high ceilings and bright light from the floor to ceiling windows in the front. As you look to the right, you can also see all the Arisan branded products including canvas tote bags and loose leaf tea canisters lining the wall shelves. Nice touch. Now let's get to the good stuff. They specifically told me about one drink that was so unique and refreshing. Which drink was it? **Matcha Cloud Coconut Water $8.95- 100% fresh young coconut water + Matcha cream: This drink was so unique because the coconut water was so distinct and refreshing. The Matcha cream sat on top before slowly trickling down to mix in with the coconut water. I would have never thought to put these 2 flavors together. It was delicious especially on a day where it was 97 degrees here in SJ.

The manager with eyes of confusion is literally facing me but won't acknowledge me as I politely say "just looking for straight matcha and water, you can charge me whatever" the manager who never makes eye contact, ignores me like I'm invisible then tells his worker "oh no we can't do that" ...the polite worker turns back to me like I couldn't hear it and true to form like a Dilbert cartoon, smiles and says "oh I'm sorry we can't do that"... so I just said, okay and walked out... Among the colorful array of food shops, is a bright green shop that is Nuoc Mia Ninh Kieu where a silvery machine to the left is seen squeezing out sugarcane juice! I shouldn't say that I hate carrots -- that's unbecoming of me -- but I strongly dislike carrots. This is one of the only ways I would enjoy carrots: nuoc mia ca-rot! I rarely order anything else from here but I would encourage you to explore their menu and come back for more! Nuoc mia ca-rot has a wonderful blend of mild earthiness of the carrot and the grassy undertones of sweetness from the sugarcane. It takes the edge off of what would otherwise be a very sweet drink! I would much prefer nuoc mia over boba milk tea (particularly on hot, summer days!). Sugarcane juice is a bit pricey here, but I chalk it up to this is a specialty shop just for nuoc mia which lends a certain nostalgia for Vietnam. There are versions of the drink here that you can't get anywhere else. If you want to experience a taste of Vietnamese culture, Nuoc Mia Ninh Kieu is a great place to start! Try them out!
