My husband loves this dish. But today I was craving it too, I ordered two entrees for take out (same dish) but I only got ONE portion of the side dishes. I am charged the same amount $19 x 2 for LESS FOOD? That makes no sense and the cashier/waitress couldn't really explain it. Even if we had dined in, the servings would have been bigger. First time here. Smaller than flamingo location. Clean inside and friendly. Not as friendly as Flamingo location but food just as good. The wife and I shared the spicy tofu soup hot pot. It was amazing and I enjoyed it with noodles instead of rice. The youngest kid loved corn cheese and rice. The eldest loved the Korean style chicken wings. The middle son loved the fire chicken and cheese. We didn't get a drink this time so i can speak for the drink section. It's a smaller location than Flamingo and the food did not disappoint. Came in with my sister and we were immediately greeted by Raine. Banchan came out shortly after we sat and was as expected. We ordered the watermelon slush, meat jeon, Soyo Special BBQ Beef Back Ribs and the Beef Brisket w/ House Special. gave us recommendations on proteins and thats how we ended up with the monster ribs!! The watermelon slush came out right away. Probably one of the better fruit slushes around as they use fresh fruit. The food came out pretty fast and everything looked amazing. The ribs were delicious, meat was soft and tender. Almost fell off the bone. The meat jeon paired with the accompanying sauce hit the spot. Definitely an immediate favorite as it reminded me of the Korean food from back home. Now for the brisket, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. The brisket with the house salad is a must try. The sauces give it an extra splash of flavor that broke da mout. Will definitely be coming back to try everything else we saw ordered from other patrons. Please note there are three Soyo Korean restaurant locations in Las Vegas - one on Cactus (which is this one I'm leaving a review for), one on Rainbow, and one on Flamingo. I've been curious to try their seafood pancake (which is called the Haemul Pajeon) for a while and finally did! My boyfriend likes taking out more than dining in at restaurants on a regular basis, so we placed an order on DoorDash and arranged to have it picked up. Along with the seafood pancake, we ordered a thing of steamed dumplings for us to share, and he ordered himself a bowl of bibimbap. When we got there, we were told that everyone that we ordered was ready, but they were still working on the seafood pancake and that it would be a couple more minutes. It didn't take too long, though. I think we were there for an extra five minutes. LITERALLY it came out hot and fresh because the box it was inside of was roasting his lap the entire ride home, and he doesn't live too far away from this establishment. Here is proof that you CAN have pancakes for dinner. The seafood pancake looked just like a real pancake (only with shrimp and scallions inside) and it was spectacular. The dumplings, while a little squishy on the outside, were fresh and abundant. My boyfriend said that his bibimbap, which was one big bowl that had two eggs on top, was delicious and that he couldn't stop eating it. This is something that I should try myself when I'm at Soyo next time because it definitely looked really good! We liked this place. We got in around 6:15pm on a Wednesday night. It wasn't super busy but was starting to get there. We were quickly seated and given menus for food and drink. There was plenty of parking available in front and around, even though this venue shares with other food spots. They offer lunch specials, but also had dinner offerings on the same menu. We opted for the Yuk Gae Jang soup, Soybean Stew with Brisket, Beef Short Rib Soup, Jap Chae with vegetables, Bi Bim Bap Beef, Bul Go Gi BBQ, Soy Garlic Chicken Wings, Lychee Soju cocktail, Jasmine Peach Bomb Soju cocktail, and Green Tea. There were 4 options of banchan that came with the meals. The place was casual and pretty quick with the service. We got all of our dishes with a fairly quick turnaround time. The soups were served pretty hot in clay bowls and were flavorful. The meats were well seasoned and tasty. The chicken wings were actually pretty tasty and crunchy. The drinks were quite tasty and pretty balanced. The food had options of being served as barbecue or hot pot for some dishes. We also didn't really opt for spicy, although it is an option. The volume was medium and the music was a good mix of Kpop, Dance, and other. Although they did offer desserts, we had ordered and eaten so much food. We will have to wait until next time to test out the desserts. Compared to the original Soyo, the offerings are a bit different and limited. But this spot is still quite good. Worth another visit in the future and a delicious time to be had by all. read more

FACILITY/AMBIANCE: Soyo Kitchen is adjacent to Mr. Chi Boba Tea and Marco's Pizza in a small plaza off Cactus. Easy to get to, and decent enough plaza parking. The interior is spacious, with seating for about 9 parties in the main area, plus an additional 8 counter-style seating by the front windows. The created partitions from the counter-style seating with shelves. The decor is a modern upscale asian theme, but the one thing that bothered me was that there was a grammatical error on their neon sign, "Your my sunshine". Sorry, grammar matters to me. SERVICE: Placed a takeout order, was told it would be about 20 minutes, but it took closer to 45 minutes to get our food, which was surprising as we were the only ones in the facility at the time. FOOD: Brought the food home and got to work - it was hot, delicious, very flavorful. We ordered Spicy Tofu Soup, Brisket, Bulgogi, and Corn Cheese. I had to make a home concoction of sesame oil and salt to replicate my KBBQ vibes, and I wasn't a huge fan of the dip they included with the brisket. The bulgogi was delicious and sweet, didn't need to supplement any flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of the corn cheese, as I think they torch the top to give it more color and a bit of char, but it just came off very burnt. My fiance said the spicy tofu soup was really good, but the poor guy was stuck on the toilet for the whole evening afterwards. OVERALL: The food was good, the wait was long, and the prices were a bit high for what we got. For the price, I'd probably rather go to an AYCE KBBQ spot to really have at it. read more
