I am was really impressed with the customer service they provided us today. We got stuck in traffic for 2 extra hours and called twice to have them move our time. The manager went above and beyond the call of service. She made sure we got in and even wished us safe travels and not to stress. We got there, and we were scooped in and taken care of. As for Ms. Pamela, who took care of all the guests, was very attentive and lovely. It was worth the drive and I would definitely come back. I was here on Mothers Day so not sure if the complimentary champagne and mimosas are an everyday service but it was sweet. I received an 80 minute Swedish massage from Joyce and she was amazing. She seems to have a divine energy in her hands as I felt her healing me while she firmly rubbed out my troubled areas, sometimes with hot stones (as ordered from the menu). My mom wanted to spend her birthday at the casino...and turns out she enjoys gambling by herself and didn't want us around until we met up at noon for lunch. We got there early, and she was on her way to her machines by 9:30am so I wandered over to the spa to see about a massage. The spa reception desk was super warm, welcoming, and friendly. They had a 50-minute massage available, but nothing for an 80-minute until the afternoon (It's 80-minute for me all time time...). They took my cell #, noted that I needed to be done by noon, and let me know they'd call me with a cancellation. Less than 15 minutes later I got the call! I made it back over and again...so very friendly. My spa attendant took me back and showed me the showers and sauna (steam room?) and lockers etc. You get to use the facilities all day...you can leave an come back to do so. But I was focused on getting a massage since it's been more than a year because of pandemic. Fluffy robe and slippers on, I waited in the calm little room for my masseuse. Jennifer came to gather me up, and took me back to the massage room. Let me tell you...it was the perfect massage for me. She spent exactly the right amount of time on everything...and worked to be sure I stayed warm (a persistent issue for me when having a massage...I'm so relaxed my body temperature drops enormously). Even the piped in music was perfect. If you're wondering about covid safety, there is sanitizer, and distancing protocols, and when you turn onto your back for the massage, you wear your mask. I will happily volunteer to drive mom to the casino monthly if I can come back and enjoy this over and over. This is a very nice spa. They have a steam room, dry sauna, showers, make up and hair area. And a nice meditation room. It is large with several massage rooms and can accommodate many people. This was my first time at the spa. The reason for the two stars has to do with the massage. I had an 80 minute massage. The first 20 minutes of the massage was amazing. Then the next hour it seemed as if the masseuse was tired. The pressure she applied was like someone rubbing lotion on your skin. I asked about three times if she could apply a little bit more pressure and she said sure but didn't do it. I looked up and she simply wasn't engaged in what she was doing. I've had many massages and this wasn't normal. Maybe she was having a bad day??? I felt as if I paid $170 for a 20 minute massage. Truly disappointed. I would love to go back to a different masseuse but not sure if I want to gamble. Sadly, I didn't hit the jackpot with the masseuse. read more

Young is phenomenal- she provides a true spa facial experience! I did a custom facial. The spa itself is beautiful and I wish I had more time to enjoy the included steam shower. I loved that I got an included alcoholic drink - I chose some bubbles (you can choose to have that before or after). I then made use of the beautiful pool which is included with a spa treatment. The spa at Thunder Valley is a perfect treat if you visit solo or with friends. I booked a 50-minute Swedish massage and ended up staying an additional 3 hours after my appointment. This spa is fully equipped with bathrooms, showers, and a get ready area. There's also two mediation room and saunas (wet and dry). It os not a bad spa. I have been there 7-8 times over the years. Used to pay $17 to use the steam and sauna. Last time I went I paid $75 just to use the sauna and steam. Not like the issue is over crowding. Never saw maybe one other use the sauna area on any given visit. I have had services there. The spa is a "vacation" type spa..... 95% of the customers won't be returning regularly or even soon. So the practicers have nothing invested & don't need to impress anyone. read more

The Spa at Thundervalley is five star top notch and if you like deep tissue you want Matthew, or EJ and there are a ton of others that do very good massages that aren't deep tissue! They serve wine and have a steam room, sauna and a 7 way shower that is amazing! Well it has been a year and quite a few experiences in between at other spas that I now have a comparison. My BFF came again to celebrate our bdays to treat ourselves. Made our appt. for noon this past Sunday. I again got the winning pair which included a 50 min basic facial and 50 min basic massage for $150. The price is comparable to other "spa" type places. I had my facial with Young. She did my first facial last year and is still the best facial I ever had. Very soothing personality and explains everything she does. Small nuances like warning me that the light was going to be on etc.... She's the only reason they don't get 1 star. On the other hand, my massage was the worst I ever had. The pressure was too hard. She never asked if it was okay but yes I did tell her it was too hard. She'd ease back for a minute and then go back to same pressure. Technique was sloppy. Too much aggressive rapid movement that it was not relaxing and I couldn't wait for it to end. Poor draping skills. Ignored the palms and bottoms of my feet. Asked to focus on lower back. She did not. When I told the front desk, they just said, "Would you like me to put in your file that you don't want her next time?" Uh sure. The snacks were old and uninviting. See pic of the brown almost rotten bananas! Also not a lot of variety as I have seen at other places. It is very small inside and seats maybe 8 comfortably. We came amongst some small groups 3- 4 and it was crowded. There was nowhere to sit in meditation room. We were bumping into each other's space in the locker area. While there is a dry and wet sauna and rain shower, there is no hot tub to soak in. Service is sub-par for a spa because that is why you pay the extra, to be treated very well and pampered. No attention to detail. Stood up front for quite sometime to pay while the two ee's were off in their own little world. She asked if I was paying for both or separate. I said separate so she helped me first. My friend is waiting. The other ee is just standing there doing nothing. Halfway through my transaction, a group of girls came out to pay and she was about to go help them but then asked if my friend still needed to pay. I said yes. Overall, I do not recommend for the cost. They need better management to ensure quality, consistency, and superior service. The employees are too unrefined for the environment and that stems from poor training. Faded or too tight uniforms should not be allowed. They need to mirror what High Steaks is. ALL of the employees there are top notch and treat you like gold. I feel like TVC haphazardly just said 'hey we need a spa' and slapped one together. read more

Went for a spa day on a Friday and had a lovely time. We got to enjoy the pool, sauna, and steam room. Our massages were very good too. My massaue was Lee and i got a Swedish massage. My friend got a deep tissue massage and she loved it as well. It was a bit overcrowded in IMO at the busiest time of the day. The locker room is small with no walking room if the locker is open. It's a tight squeeze in there if more than 5 people are accessing their lockers. Hedi at the front desk so helpful and kind. Pam the guest service staff in the spa is probably one of the hardest working staff aside from the therapists. I don't know how much she makes, but she probably deserves a raise for being so attentive. She's so great! We spent sometime at the pool before our massages and absolutely loved it as well. I forget the name of the pool waitress but she was awesome! We'll definitely be back soon. read more

The wife and I recently visited the Spa at Thunder Valley Casino for a couples massage. Our appointment was scheduled for 10:30 am and we arrived at 10:00 to get checked in. A female worker showed my wife to the ladies side of the spa while one of the guys brought me to my side. He gave me a tour of the facilities and explained how to set the digital code on my locker. Each locker comes stocked with a robe and slippers. You can ask for a larger size robe if needed, mine was a little small for me. After undressing and getting into my robe I took a quick look around the spa area. I was the only guy there so I had the whole place to myself! The are several sinks to use with razors, shaving cream, lotions, etc. Everything you would need to get ready after your spa visit. There are also multiple locations with tubs of ice water, hand towels, bath towels, and ice soaked towels. The locker room attendant was very good at re-stocking the waters and towels that were used while I was there. I went to the meditation room and waited to be called for my massage. I was escorted out to the hallway where I met with my wife and we were taken to our room. We were able to sample and select our favorite scented lotion for the massage. We had the 80 minute relaxation message which was awesome! Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our massages and did not want to get up from the heated tables! One of the better massages I've had, perfect amount of pressure and he found and worked out some stiff muscles I had. After the our massages, we went back to our respective sides of the spa. I headed for the steam room first as steam rooms have always been my favorite. The one here at Thunder Valley Spa is a eucalyptus room and is very refreshing. Breathing in the nice steam clears the sinuses wonderfully! Since the spa areas are gender specific, you can go naked which is the only way to go in my opinion. I grabbed a fresh towel to put down so I wasn't sitting on my bare butt and grabbed a fresh ice water. After a few minutes the automatic steamer kicked on and it got really thick! I ran out real quick and grabbed a second water and one of the cold wet wash cloths that were soaking in ice water and placed it around my neck while continuing to steam and sweat. Felt so relaxing after getting my muscles worked out from the massage. After I finished my second water I tried the dry sauna. It was good as well, not as hot as the steam room but still good. I only spent about five minutes in there, letting my body cool down after the hot steam room. After enjoying the facilities, I had a shower in the "rain" shower stall. They have three or four normal showers, and next to the steam and sauna rooms they have one awesome shower with EIGHT shower heads hitting you from all directions! It is so amazing I could have spent forever in there! I cranked the digital temp setting up to 104 and all my worries melted away... lol. After an incredible shower I spent another 10 minutes in the meditation room and had my complementary glass of wine. My wife text me she was getting out of the shower and curling her hair and told me to take my time. After finishing my adult beverage I reluctantly got dressed and went out to the main lobby to meet my wife and checked out. Overall we had an incredible experience at Thunder Valley Spa and will definitely be back. Prices are a little high, but everything seems to be these days. The only thing I would say, and my wife said the same thing, is it would be nice to also have a co-ed meditation room as well, so couples or friends could wait together for their treatments. I can't even say how disappointing my visit was. My friend was visiting from out of state, New Years week. I scheduled two pedicure appointments for us. Full service. The staff who greeted us were friendly and took us back to the spa area. We got ready and headed in to our appointment. The only time we were offered was 830 AM because they were closing the entire casino down for New Years Eve. That time was totally fine for us but when we sat down we weren't offered any water, coffee or anything. We then picked out our color from tiny rock pebbles. We were in shock to find out that taking OFF the gel polish would cost us $35. Then to paint ON the gel would be an additional $25 on top of the already $70 pedicure. It was so quick. The leg massage was not great. Nothing about this experience was "spa like" at all. I was so embarrassed that I brought my friend to this. I can't imagine what the "express" pedicure would be like. So on to the spa experience after the pedicure. We went to use the restroom and one toilet was so clogged and wreaked to high heaven. After the sauna, I went in to shower. I was looking around and noticed that there was SO MUCH MOLD throughout the entire shower up to almost my shoulders. Pink. Mold. I quickly hopped out, completely grossed out. I then peek in all the other showers and every single one was the same way. This is supposed to be a spa experience and it was nothing to the likes of that. It is not clean & severely overpriced. Look at the pictures I provided to see how dirty everything is. My own home is cleaner than this. Massage service was very nice. I am pregnant and didn't really know what to expect but very happy with these services. Facial, also pretty nice. Took my mother for Mother's Day and when we got done she had a sheet of all the products they used, I did not. When I asked for one at the end they were able to give me one because the girl who did mine was in with someone else. Pedicure, less than average. Felt rushed, they told my mother in law they couldn't fit her in because she had gel on her toes --I had booked these services a month prior. If that's something that will prohibit the service you should let the customer know before they book the service. No discount to price given. She basically let her feet sit in the water and they rubbed down her legs. I also let them know I had ingrown toe nails and they said "ok" dismissingly and then did nothing. Very, very disappointed in pedicure services. This was not spa level. I get a better pedicure at the local shop in town and it's a fraction of the price. No one reached out to ask how our services were, no email, nothing. Hundreds of dollars spent. I would just expect more from a spa. read more

I had Christina for my Swedish massage. The pressure was perfect. The steam room is the best steam room I've ever been in. They have nice moroccan oil products to use in the bathroom and vanity. I'm not terribly picky when it comes to spas so long as they are clean, provide basic amenities and afford women and men the right privacies. Before the spot I used to go to Burke Williams in Santana row, which is a little bit more generous than thunder Valley spa, but it was also noisier. thunder Valley spa is very quiet and there's a silent room if you just wanna have a private conversation or veg by yourself. Masseuses are polite and ask consent, and are respectful of things you might not want done!my favorite part is the eucalyptus sauna which is directly across from the dry sauna. DO NOT RECOMMEND TINA @ THUNDER VALLEY SPA. 1st and most importantly; "TINA" the massage therapist is a THIEF. "TINA" had my mother take her diamond heart necklace that was gifted from my father 27 years off ago during her massage. She placed it in a bowl in a hidden space. Due to it being in a hidden space and my mother not seeing it after her massage it was not picked up. A very very short time later my mother remembered about her chain, we called the spa right away. TINA told the front desk spa attendant she told my mother to get it out the bowl (which she didn't). Later "TINA" told Tony the casinos guest experience manager she placed the chain on my mothers neck (which she also didn't)... her necklace was stolen in just a short period of time. "TINA" AT THE THUNDER VALLEY SPA IS A (LYING THIEF). Watch your purse, Watch your jewelry, Watch your kids!!!!! 2nd - this is important too, but the 1st is more important; Me and my mother arrived early at 1:30 pm just to check into our (4:00 pm) spa appointment. While checking in the front desk spa attendant told us that my mothers spa appointment was at 4:00 pm and mine would be at 5:00 pm. That was not what we booked, but was told we did book for those times. Even our email confirmation states 4:00 pm for both of our spa massages. We had to wait until 5:00 pm just so we can have our spa massages at the same time. 3rd; The $15.00 foot scrub add on is a total joke... it's not even a scrub. They just wipe your feet with a slightly warm towel. & the steam room stinks like wet dog. No eucalyptus, no peppermint, just wet dog. GOOD GRIEF! read more

This was my first time using the Thunder Valley Spa. I went with a friend and tried the Swedish massage with hot stone. It was so relaxing! The ambience is soothing and calm. You can also request champagne or wine. I will definitely be coming back for another massage and will try a facial. read more
